I wish I had read these reviews before I went here. I was given an appt. with Justin Brown, who was in the room less than 5 minutes, because they "sent me to the wrong dermatologist" at a charge of $150. It should have been Nossi. My excema was never addressed and I was given prescriptions for tretonoin and retin-a which cannot be used if you have excema. This alone is pretty scary! I went there for medium tca peels for excema and acne scarring and scarring from a tca peel I had 5 years ago. (I have had tca peels in the past w/excellent results!) The 1st peel did almost nothing and was $260. The 2nd peel was supposed to be stronger and also disappeared and there was barely any change, BUT the right side of my face developed an extreme dryness and now I have a dry patch around my right eye and on my right temple, all for $370. I called and complained and had an appt w/Inga who told me Nossi would be in to tell me about other options. What an awful human being.....He tells me he will not fix my face or rectify the situation BECAUSE he did not see me for my initial appt. Then he tells me they cannot help me with my scarring there and to go somewhere else. He tells me my face looks great (again, pretty scary!) If they could not help me, why did they treat me in the 1st place?! Now I am out $800. w/out any results and alot of wasted time. I had previously had consultations with Dr. Wise and Dr. Kassir who did address the scarring, they noticed it right away, but they wanted to use lasers which I felt were to harsh w/ too much downtime.

I had a terrible experience at this dermatologist office. I used to go to their Nutley location, but I moved to Caldwell which is 10 minutes away from the Verona office. I got there a few minutes before my appointment. The receptionist just took my name and date of birth, then told me to take a sit. I saw at least 4 people arriving after me and they all were called, I was the only idiot waiting forever. I waited for about 40 minutes and asked her how long I had to wait to be called? The receptionist very challenged started checking the computer and after 40 damn minutes she tells me Im scheduled at the "Nutley West Orange" location. She did not even apologize.. When I made the appointment I called the main number and told the operator I moved and wanted to go to the Verona location, NOT Nutley! The receptionist put me on the computer to be seen and told me again to sit down.I waited another 30 minutes and walked-out and called their main line to cancel everything and not charge me a cent. The phone operator said, "our operator are well-trained and they confirm the time and place of appointments", she wanted me to feel stupid, it wasnt like that. I didnt even get the Drs name. DO NO GO TO THIS PLACE, THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

I had an appointment with at the Riverdale office in early March, March 9th. I did not find the receptionist to be overly friendly, but she did answer my questions without any problems. The wait time was not too long, and the nurse I had was quite lovely and made me laugh. However, the air conditioning was on (IN EARLY MARCH IN NJ? Really) and of course I had to disrobe and put on a paper covering. It was very cold. I saw one of the NPs, Ms. Guttuso. She was brisk and not so warm, to the point, but did not tell me if there would be any side affects to receiving a numbing shot for a biopsy (I got sick to my stomach afterwards) and she got upset when I asked for more natural alternatives to petroleum jelly to care for the wound (yes, I am a naturalist). Today, April 6 I FINALLY called to find out the result of my biopsy. I never received a call from this office. Thankfully it is fine, but what if it had not been? I am disappointed that I had to call myself (is this the new norm?) Overall I am not so please with this practice and was willing to try another doc but having to call almost a month later for my results, well, I will try to find another practice.

Absolutely unacceptable service. I wish I had read all the reviews about poor service prior to wasting two hours I wont be getting back. Arrived at 10:30 for an 11AM appointment as a new patient. By 11:20, nobody had given me a status update on my 11AM appointment. I asked the assistants at the desk how much longer I would be waiting, and they replied that there were three people ahead of me and that my remaining wait time would be about 45 minutes. I asked at what point I was going to be notified of this, and the assistants didnt quite know how to respond. I heard great things about Dr Brown, and that is why I drove half an hour to this office, but I will never return after the way I was treated. A note to the practice: your patients time is valuable. If you cannot keep up with your appointment schedule, then you need to change the way you do business.

Make sure you clear your schedule when you make an appointment here. As a returning customer with no new paperwork to fill out, I waited OVER AN HOUR to see the dr in the waiting room. Finally I approached the front desk to ask what the hold was and how much longer it would be. The girl said you are next. A few minutes later the nurse took me back to the examing room where I waited another 45 MINUTES!! I believe that they were no where near ready to take my appt & sent me to the examing room because they did not want me to leave which was totally unfair. After waiting in the examing room I finally opened the door with my patient robe and had to flag a nurse down. I said if I was not seen or addressed in the next 5 minutes I would leave. And sure enough the dr. came prancing in. I waited over 2 hours to see the dr for less than ten minutes!

This place is so unprofessional and if I were you, I would stay away. Good thing I called my insurance on the way there because the doc office told me the PA was In network and she wasnt. I asked to be accommodated since I drove all the way there from four towns away and they wouldnt let me see a different in network doc because its Friday and they leave early. There was a doc there that couldve seen me but they didnt care. As a healthcare professional, the day I wouldve let an upset patient walk out and not be seen because of my error would be the day I lost my job. Very unprofessional and they dont know what they are talking about with insurance. Never going back worst place

This is a great practice. The Doctors and Practitioners are pleasant and knowledgeable. The staff on the phone are great as well as the office. Yes they are busy but everything moves fast. I know some people are never satisfied unless the entire universe revolves around them and maybe this is not the place for those types. I have had things tended to and cleared up by them quickly and painlessly and have no doubt about their competencies. I only have been to the Verona office. I like that they are up to date on technology and are using it to its fullest extent. Parking can be an issue but I think it is because of the other tenants in the building. Other than that it is great.
