When my therapist left the agency, she made every effort to transition me to another therapist at New Leaf. I, however, googled her name and found she was working at another practice. In my last session, I asked if I could come see her at her other location. She told me she was contractually bound not to take clients with her and she again reassured me, as she had repeatedly, that my needs could be met with another therapist at New Leaf. The following week, I contacted Patrick Morrow, the executive director to ask if he would consider waiving any non-compete, so I could continue to see my therapist, as I felt I was at a critical point in therapy. Rather then hear my request, Mr Morrow took the opportunity to berate my therapists "poor boundaries," and to make other disparaging remarks about her, including trying to force a bizarre narrative that she had tried to "turn me against" the agency. On top of that, he then had my therapist contact me and recite his party line, apologizing for her poor boundaries, for anything she said that reflected poorly on New Leaf (nothing) and telling me she could not continue to see me (shed already said this). As long as Mr Morrow is affiliated with New Leaf, I wont be pursuing therapy there. He certainly clarified that bashing an outgoing therapist is more of a priority to him then hearing me out and considering my request. Update: In regards to the cut and paste response posted below, New Leaf made no effort to hear me out or work with me. If this company truly valued their clients and reputation, Mr Morrow, their representative, would have conducted himself more professionally. Trash talking an outgoing therapist while refusing to even acknowledge my question are really two marks of someone who should not be in a leadership role, in any business, much less the executive director.

Where do I even begin? I worked here as a therapist for several months and during that time I saw so many front desk staff, admin and staff quit. Ive never seen so much turnover ever, but I certainly understand why. Patrick and Dava have to be so of the most challenging people to work with. During my time there, I heard some of the most appalling things against minorities and people suffering from mental health concerns. How is this place still running? Patrick Malloy needs some serious multicultural training and competency. From a provider perspective, they often cant keep up with referrals and routinely have a low census, while Patrick will over promise how they can both compensate and provide hours. Patrick can also be passive aggressive with staff and clients. If youre a client, I know there are some great therapists who are hanging out for awhile until they can jump ship, and please continue to enjoy their services. But for your sake, I hope you dont have to encounter toxic Patrick!

This has to be the most unethical and unsavory experience Ive ever had in the health care world. Patrick Malloy, the Executive Director, and Dava Musarello, the clinical director, routinely talk poorly about therapists, front desk staff, interns and volunteers. They discourage interns, volunteers, therapists from building relationships. Patrick must meet the criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder and is also the most paranoid and unwell (un) professional Ive ever met in the 15 years Ive been practicing as a clinician. I do not recommend anyone working here or being seen here. Just talk to any former therapist, staff member or intern and youll know why. Its a revolving door for a reason!

I am a former volunteer who spent roughly two and a half years at New Leaf. Volunteering at New Leaf Behavioral Health was a fantastic experience. I loved working with Dava, Patrick, and the office staff. During my time at New Leaf I was able to work on a variety of projects, such as grant writing and quality assurance, as well as assist with the daily tasks that keep New Leaf running. My experience proved to me how important it is to make therapy accessible for everyone. I am motivated more than ever to pursue a career that will allow me to embody the mission of providing mental health services to underserved populations.

My family and I enjoyed working with New Leaf and Dava Muserallo. The staff is warm and welcoming and we felt comfortable talking with Dava. It isnt always easy to talk about personal life events but Ive learned how to better handle life and relationship challenges through my counseling experience here. I would highly recommend Dava and New Leaf to anyone looking for a positive therapy experience.

I cant imagine a worse place to come for mental health services. The staff here, namely the leadership executive director and clinical director, are highly unethical and treat their employees and clients poorly. I cannot recommend people seeking services here. Its no wonder so many of their staff members are provisionally licensed.

Both my daughter and I had a wonderful experience at New Leaf. The staff are welcoming and it was a very comfortable and relaxed office. Both therapists that I had experience with there were very nice and extremely helpful. Bonus: they had evening hours and it was very easy to work around my daughters school schedule.

Counseling here has been a great experience! The office staff has been welcoming and easy to work with , and my therapist Ashley has helped me get my anxiety under control. Plus...they have a dog at the office that is so friendly and cute! He makes me smile every time I see him for appointments.

Working with New Leaf has been very rewarding. Patrick and Dava have a strong passion for their mission to serve people who otherwise might not have access to affordable, quality mental health care.
