Do not take your pets to this place! They dont have a clue on how to treat an animal! I dont know how they can call themselves a veterinarian! Did they get their degree from a cracker jack box! I took my kitten in to see the vet because he was ill. And come to find out he had low blood sugar and his glucose number was 25 when it should have been 90 and the doctor couldnt even tell me why that was she kept saying there must be something genetic. Nothing like we can administer dextrose to bring his blood sugar and number up! No, she never mention anything like that you would think that is what should have happen but no she didnt have a clue what was going on with the animal except what I mention about it being genetics. And that I should put him too sleep. And plus they made sure to bombard me with all their of prices! One nurse came out and said that there is a 65 dollar charge to do CPR if he were to crash and ask me if I except the fee. Of course I said yes what was I suppose say. They got you hanging on a hook feeding off your emotions. And speaking about emotions they didnt show any, No compassion No empathy. They seem too be more concern about making money than saving an animals life! The doctor had me convince that my kitten had no chance of surviving. She kept making up all these assumptions that theres a chance that he might not pull through. But she never once said that theres a chance he might make it. So that made me think that he didnt have prayer so I had to make the decision to put him down. So I walked out without that poor innocent kitten. If only I was in the right state of mind I wouldnt have allowed her to do that. But I thought I was doing what was best for the kitten until I got home and did some research and found out that my kitten didnt have any cause for putting him down. I put in the symptoms that he had and it said that he was malnourished. He had low body weight and wasnt gaining weight. And that was because I got him from a litter and he was weaned too soon and the food he was eating his body wasnt digesting it properly. Which made him very ill. But what I dont understand is why this doctor didnt see that! I will forever regret my decision bringing him to that place! Oh and while I was in tears of losing my kitten and the thought of not being able to see him again they had the nerve to ask me if I want to put him in a box and have it engraved and that they would go and get the prices for me! How absurd! Never again will I bring an animal of mine here!

I was recommended to the Rascal Mobile Clinic by my normal vet to have my dog spayed. When I found out the price, I told my mom. We went to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton and scheduled our appointments. When we dropped off our dogs, it was a giant, unorganized clusterf***, which I expected due to the price. My mom recieved a call and they stated that her dog needed a teeth cleaning, and that they could do it while she was out to be spayed and save on the cost of anesthesia, so my mom agreed. She told them that if anything major came up during the cleaning that they were to call her. When we arrived to pick them up, they started going over our paperwork for post op care. They informed my mom that she would need to give her dog antibiotics for her dental work, which we thought was weird because she was only getting a cleaning. As we were walked up front to pay, I was looking over the girls shoulder at the paperwork and saw that it said EXTRACTION. I asked if they pulled any teeth, and she informed us that they had done an extraction. It wasnt just 1 or 2 teeth, though. They had pulled 11 of the dogs teeth with no call to my mom, even after she asked for one. My mom was extremely upset since she was blindsided with the pulling of the dogs teeth. She asked to speak to someone about it before she paid for the services. When we were finally able to speak to someone (who was the person my mom asked to have someone call if anything major came up), they said the teeth were pulled because they were loose after the cleaning. While she understood after the explanation, it did not change the fact that they didnt call. And while we were trying to talk with the lady who pulled the teeth, she had some random woman with her chiming in when she knew nothing of the situation. She worked for a rescue and was there to pick her animal up. The way the entire situation was handled was terrible. There was never an apology or anything to try to make the situation better. I want to make it clear that I think the Humane Society is a great place and have actually adopted a dog from them. Just be careful when having your animal treated by the Rascal Mobile Unit there.

I was referred here by a friend who had nothing but good things to say, but unfortunately I have had an awful experience. My dog was admitted on 2/21 with a broken leg and needed to have surgery to use plates and screws to repair his fracture. They said that the surgery could not be done until that coming Wednesday, which was four days away, but they said they would keep my dog comfortable with pain medication. The day of the surgery, I waited all day to hear from them and finally around 530p I called to see what was going on. The woman I spoke with said that my dog had been anesthetized but had not been taken back for his surgery yet. I got a call from the doctor after 8pm saying that his surgery was finished and he was in recovery. (There was almost a three hour gap in time in which he was under anesthesia, which is completely too long) Typically it takes 12-24 hours for dogs to "recover" from the effects of the anesthesia but by the following saturday (3.5 days after his surgery), he was still very lethargic, his body temperature was low and he was refusing to eat. (I was finally able to get him to eat some two days later, which was also when he started to seem more like himself again.) The doctor said that he would need to be kept for a minimum of ten days after the surgery to make sure the plate would not reject or that other complications would occur, but the tenth day had come and I did not hear from them. The next day (3/8) they had called and said when they took the radiograph to see how the bone was healing.. "somehow" the plate they used was defective and it bent, while inside my dogs leg, causing the bone to not align. Today (3/10) I get a call first thing in the morning from the doctor saying that they are going to perform another surgery today to remove and replace the defective plate. All of this seems really sketchy to me and my poor dog has been the one to suffer. I will not be going back, and I will not refer anyone to them.
