READ THIS BEFORE GOING TO COMFORT DENTAL!! If it was possible to give a zero star I would. So my girlfriend went to this place because she has a bad tooth from a root canal she failed to follow up with and get filled. She looks up dentist and finds these guys and figures they are okay cause at the time they had a 4.2/5 star review. She schedules her appointment and goes in the next day. DR. MERCHANT sees her and takes a look at her mouth, takes an X-ray and all the routine stuff. Finds out she has a lot of infection in her mouth from the tooth. Tells her that she needs 6 different teeth pulled and 7 cavities on top of that! She has anxiety going to the dentist anyways so this was not good news to hear. So she asks what they need to do about all of this, DR. MERCHANT follows up by saying they can get all of the work done right away and get started right here at your appointment. He stated he was just going to numb her up and do the work. Naturally she was nervous and thought that was a lot to get done right there and then with a few numbing shots. So she decides to leave and and tells the office she will be in touch. So she left with infection in her mouth and DR. MERCHANT does not give her a prescription to take care of it. Coming home and telling me this just did not add up. She followed up with another dentist and goes in within the next few days. She tells her story to this dentist and her was floored!! Not only did he state that she did not need that many teeth pulled (he said she needed two pulled), she also had nowhere near 7 cavities (she has 1). The new doctor also said there was no way he could operate on her now with the infection in her mouth. If DR.MERCHANT would have operated on her, he said she would have 1. Been in so much pain it would have been unbearable. And 2. She more than likely would not be able to eat correctly for at least a week and would maybe even have had trouble talking. Great thing to do to your patient, right? The new doctor was personally going to call Comfort Dental and let them know to not bill her insurance for the X-ray because he was going to and let DR.MERCHANT know he missed diagnosed her and to quit treating his patients and practicing this way. She left the new office way more comfortable and confident her mouth was going to be handled correctly. Moral of the review, be weary and approach this office with caution. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE AND IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO, MAKE SURE YOU GET A SECOND OPINION!

I dont really like dentist visits. I had deep cleaning done at the Heath Comfort Dental by Dr.Latus and was worried that once my numbness wears off, I will feel pain and my teeth will be sensitive. On the contrary, my teeth are not sensitive nor my gums sore from all the work done yesterday. I am so happy I drove to heath from Columbus (its only a 40mins dr) to get my other half of deep cleaning done. You see last week I went to the comfort dental in Gahana and did a deep cleaning on the right side on my mouth, my gums started to hurt as soon as the numbness wore off and I would wake up in the middle of the night with tooth ache. Its over a week now and Im just now feeling like its healed. So you see how HAPPY I am with the work of Dr.Latus at the Heath office! The office is bigger and very clean, bathrooms up-front for easy access, staff extra friendly and really sweet. And the best part is, if you go in on your appointment time, you are not sitting there twiddling your thumb while waiting for the dentist to work on you.

I had some major work by Dr Canfield. He was great, the only way this experience could have been smoother is if the man had a magic wand. He personally followed up with me after the procedure, and saw me again the very next day to ensure things were going well. All of my interactions with staff, (office personnel, and dental assistants) were very positive and reassuring-I would highly recommend this office to anyone. I should probably mention that Aspen Dental quoted me a price for the same work I ended up having done at Comfort. It was 8 x higher, and yes you read that right they tried to charge me 8 times more than Dr Canfield for the same work. I have kids needing braces soon and you can rest assured theyll be getting them at Comfort as well.

Absolutely horrible! No one introduced themselves, was supposed to get one tooth worked on they drilled out 2 more without telling me! They chatted amongst each other but didnt speak to me. Everything was so rushed they didnt tell me what they were doing just went ahead and did it.. They seemed to only be concerned with me scheduling another appointment for more work! Im now in more pain than when I went in! My teeth were left with jagged edges! Will not be returning here will be going to another dentist to see if they can fix the teeth worked on by this place.

I went there for my 6 month checkup in July of 2015. I had a cavity so they filled the tooth and it started to hurt again after a couple months. I just went back again for my checkup and they had to redrill and fill the same tooth they had done in July because they didnt do it right the first time. They didnt file the tooth down right and it is super sharp and keeps cutting my tongue so I have to go back next week and get it fixed... Again. I would definitely not recommend Comfort Dental to anyone.

When I first started going to Comfort Dental everything was fine they did my extraction, and didnt have any problem with them. Then about two weeks ago I had them do four filling all on the same side, and now I cant eat on that side of my mouth at all due to the huge amount of pain it causes. I also cant drink without a straw because, if anything hot or cold touches it i almost wind up in tears. After that I will never go back, and if I had the ability to give zero stars I would.

Dr Canfield is wonderful. He explained everything that needed done, and how he was going to do it. He is gentle and does a thorough job. He even called personally to check on me and told me if I had any problems or questions I could call him personally. Needless to say, I did not need to bother him on his personal phone thanks to his wonderful work. Office personnel and other staff is always helpful and very pleasant.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have never seen so many inept so called professionals in all my life. No one takes responsibility for their mistakes. Its always the patient that is the problem. Its crazy when someone goes in for a preventive checkup with absolutely no pain to go through several hours of work just to leave in pain and stay in pain for weeks. I would NEVER take someone I love here.
