The reason I am giving two stars rather than one, is because the doctor who saw our kiddo was willing to do the well child visit even though our LO was screaming. (Our kiddo just had a traumatic dental appointment and this doctor visit was especially jarring but the doctor was willing to be patient.) Tricare prime remote changed our Healthcare provider to this Rainbow Pediatrics when we moved regions. I expected the same if not better care from a civilian office. What I received is this: -A front desk that was unaware of how tricare worked, unsure of how to use a benefits number/ssn to post bills/receive payment. -A call the Friday evening before a Monday morning appointment to tell us that the Dublin office was mistakenly given to us as an appointment and in fact only a New Albany office visit was possible. -Poor time management on the part of the receptions. We arrived before our appointment time and were seen 15 minutes late. No big deal considering the issues with payment, but definitely difficult especially when appointment times are used for a reason. -I asked for an itemized bill, instead received a receipt and complaint; "you can wait for a bill but Ill have to get our billing person to type it up manually and print it." Not a big deal but considering I had to explain what itemization was needed, dissapointed. In addition to that, a lunch menu was printed out and patiently noted while passing this complaint on. Luckily I took the hint and agreed to receive a bill by mail to pass on to tricare and take care of myself. -The receptions loudly explained the cost of immunizations while gesticulating and expressing disbelief as to the likelihood that I would be willing to pay out of pocket for the immunizations. Luckily, I spoke up and said that as my appointment suggested we were there to be seen for immunizations due. -Was quoted 250$ was charged 400$+ Not a big deal since it involves the well being of our little one, but its annoying because why make a huge deal over needing to pay out of pocket *because you dont understand the insurance* when you previously made it apparent that you *understood why we were there* -The doctor had is ask the receptionist about enrolling in the Patient Portal. I was told to check my email, the email I was told to check was not my own but another patients. Luckily, clarification was easy even though steps to enroll were not forthcoming. Over all the experience was not what we expected, it was a dissapointment and I was not left satisfied with the overall state of our perspective pediatrician. But, it could have been worse. Our little one received one immunization and a well child visit-- which was our intention so at least that got done. The doctor tried to be well meaning and attentive. The attending nurse was helpful, straightforward and patient with our fussy baby. That was not enough to combat the overall negative experience. Hopefully the requested forms are received in timely manner. I will be researching other available pediatric offices.

What a wonderful pediatric practice!! We recently moved here from Tennessee for my husbands work. Someone in the HR department at his job recommended Rainbow Pediatrics. I have to admit I was nervous about finding a pediatrician. We had the best one in Tenn. The staff at Rainbow was pleasant and helpful on the phone in regards to records transfer, general information, and scheduling. Upon arrival for our appointment the Front desk staff were friendly and pleasant. We completed all the usual paperwork and insurance information fairly quickly. The nurse, Kayla, who took us back was so sweet and wonderful to my daughter. She really helped make her feel right at home. She went through all of my daughters medical history. She really seems like she cared! Then Dr. Tyler came in very shortly after the nurse was finished. He was wonderful. He is so good at interacting with my daughter and yet still talking to me in a way I can relate. He reminds me of our previous pediatrician. I got all my questions addressed. We will be back and I will refer others to Rainbow! Christy 2 years and many visits later we are still impressed. We love Dr. Tyler!! Most of the staff really care and work hard! Thanks Rainbow!

Truly a disturbing experience from the start. Where do I start?? Recently moved to the area and had medical records sent to them three times because they said they were not receiving them. They had them on the first try but somehow couldnt locate them. Ok fine. Get to the appointment and was turned off by how dirty it was. Eeeeeewwwww. I had my two children with me and had to fill out a bunch of paperwork and there were no toys for them to play with. Really?! We get into the dirty exam room and wait forever for Dr. Nardia. She was ok, not super impressed by any means. Then there were the shots which are not fun for child or parent but they made it the most traumatic experience for us. It was the most horrible experience for all of us and Im angry that they made it such a negative. Its going to take me a good while to undo the harm. The nurse was so rough with the shots that it was super painful for me to watch. I told them I didnt need to finish filling out the paperwork. We are done. New doctor and new office. Well we were there for 2 hours. Very long with a 5 year old and a 15 month old.

Just an awful place from the rude receptionists and office manager down to the nurses. Our childs appointment the other week to treat his sore throat was supposed to be a simple visit. The nurse who came in had ZERO child communication skills and was physically abusive - and verbally unprofessional and RUDE. She was supposed to take a throat culture and ended up ramming a swab stick down my childs throat; she physically grabbed his arm so hard she bruised him. He left crying and was traumatized. Instead of trying to explain to a young child what she was about to do she tried to force a foreign object on him. It was just an awful experience for my child as well as for myself. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE - ITS A JOKE OF AN OPERATION WITH UNTRAINED AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. By the way, this larger size nurse most likely detests children and should be working as an auto mechanic! Watch out for her!

We have 3 teenagers and have been going to Rainbow for about 7 years. Our kids typically go for an annual exam and for medication checkups. So not too often. It was tolerable. The physical office itself is okay. It certainly needs a refresh and is looking run down. The only reason I gave the review 2 stars is because the doctors are pretty good. HOWEVER, they charge fees for EVERYTHING. If you call looking for medical help after hours, they charge you a fee (not covered by insurance). If you need your records transferred, they charge a fee (and it takes 30 days to get them, also not covered by insurance). If you have an appointment they consider after working hours, they will charge you a fee (insurance has covered this for me, but the appointment was not after hours). Their billing person is not helpful and does not respond for days if not weeks.
