I was experiencing terrible pain in a tooth late at night and was able to get an emergency appointment the next morning with Dr. Holland. A year later I am still returning to the office, most recently to have decayed wisdom teeth removed and I cannot stop talking about the exceptional service there! After just a couple of visits the front desk staff greet me by name and check me in the moment I enter the office. During the procedure Amanda put a blanket over me for comfort and I was allowed to wear headphones and listen to an audiobook (Dr. Holland lent me a pair on an earlier visit, knowing it would be a lengthy procedure). Everyone is extremely welcoming and easy to talk with, I was able to work out financial concerns easily and without judgment, and Dr. Holland stopped by personally as my sutures were being removed to see how everything was going with my healing. He even sat down and helped remove them. I love this office, I never thought I would actually look forward to going to the Dentist!

I cant say enough good things about Distinctive Destistry. This a small, family owned kind of a business that delivers really big results. The staff is polite, friendly, courteous and very competent at what they do. But, that is only the half of it. The real story is the world class dentistry that is performed at this dental business every day. I have tried several different dentists over the past 50 years, and I can say without reservation that Robert Gemmell is the best dentist I have ever had. And his chair side manners are every bit as good as his impeccable dentistry. I give Robert Gemmell and Distinctive Dentistry a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend this dentist office to anyone looking for a quality dentist and really good staff.

Past, poor experiences at local dental offices created in me a terrible fear of having needed dental work; there is much to say about safety in a dental chair. My dental needs are to the extreme far reaching (missing teeth, troubled gums, and a work schedule that is far from easy to make appointments). Doctor G. and his entire office staff are ethical, honest, and calming; I am made to feel that my needs are important, judgement free. I visited many, many (too many) dental offices before I made a commitment to a partnership with a dentist and his staff. In Dr G., I believe I have made the best choice and now that I feel safe, Im getting my smile, and health back.

Distinctive Dentistry is great. They took me in on the same day as making an appointment for a painful cavity. As Im from NY, I had to pay out of pocket, and they offered me several suggestions on how to handle my situation until I returned to NY, and even let me cancel part of my procedure after they shifted the schedule around for me. I only did this due to the high cost (skipped the crown until I was back in insurance territory. $500 instead of $1600. I still feel bad about it, but they are amazing, and anyone with dental anxiety, please try them, as the dentist himself admittedly suffers from dental anxiety, something that made me feel right at home.

I always enjoy my appointments here at Distinctive Dentistry. Ive met both dentists and they are wonderful! I love how they explain everything that is going on and what the plan is. They feel like they have time for you and your questions without making you feel like youre inconveniencing them. All the dental hygienists and assistants are wonderful as well. Professional, knowledgeable, and quick with their jobs. I also enjoy speaking with the front desk staff, always patient and professional. Not to mention the building and landscaping is beautiful. Dr. Gemmell and Dr. Holland have embraced my extreme fear of the dentist and allowed me to feel completely comfortable while getting a couple emergency procedures done within a couple weeks of each other. I chose to use sedation. They also didnt make me feel bad for allowing so much time to pass between my last dentist visit and coming to them. They were very encouraging about setting up a treatment plan and the billing department also worked with me as far as payments. I would give them 10 stars if I could and recommend them to anyone!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Robert Gemmell and his staff for many years and have always enjoyed very friendly, professional dental care. Ive had fillings, periodontal cleanings, as well as crowns. And I am not fond of needles. But Dr. Gemmells gentle manner made it very easy for me. From the front desk staff to his dental assistants, all make you feel extremely welcome. If you are looking for a terrific dentist in the Eugene-Springfield Oregon area, I highly recommend Dr. Robert Gemmells practice on River Road in Eugene.

I Love how comfortable they make you feel in every way including the blanket they give you to use while having work done. I found Dr. Gemmell & Dr. Hollands office through a good friend of mine. My dentist of 7 years had just retired and I wasnt very impressed with his replacement. Anyways Dr. Gemmell and staff are very friendly, professional and map your treatment out. They let you know your cost and work with you and your insurance constraints. My 6 year old just had her first appointment and I couldnt have been happier. I highly recommend Dr. Gemmell office.

Dr. Gemmell and Dr. Holland are both great dentists who "talk" to you and hear your concerns. It never hurts when I get numbed, and they go above and beyond service even meeting me on Super Bowl Sunday for emergency appointment! Best magazines of any Dr.s office with daily news-paper as well for when you do have to wait (seldom long). Referral program is also a plus, and all the staff is super professional and personal.

Weve been seeing Dr. Gemmell and Holland for a little over a year now, and theyve been fantastic. The entire staff is terrific. My wife recently broke a crown, (3-27-17) and they got her in to be checked in about 15 minutes. Thats amazing really, above and beyond any level of expected service !!
