Each time I go to Central Bucks Family Practice something goes wrong. Two of my most recent trips were the worst. I would highly recommend finding another doctors office because the ones here seem pretty incompetent. You can basically write your own prescriptions! In May I was leaving to Africa for three weeks and needed a prescription for Malaria pills. Yes, I know, most local clinics dont deal with malaria pills much, but the travel clinics didnt accept my insurance. So, I made the appointment about a week ahead of time (giving the reason that I needed a Malaria prescription). When I arrived at the office, the doctor I saw how no clue about Malaria pills. Youd think a doctor would read up a little bit on the pills shes going to be prescribing before the appointment. When I went into her office she literally read me the names of the choices and asked me which ones I wanted. Umm, I dunno, the bubblegum flavored ones? Arent you supposed to tell me about the pills and figure out which one youd at least recommend before asking me that? I proceeded to inquire about the side effects and cost of each one. She had no clue about the cost when I asked, so I asked if she would be able to either look it up or call a pharmacy. She then asked if I had a cell phone, and if I could call the pharmacy and ask for her. A bit ridiculous/unprofessional considering theres "no cell phone in examine room" signs everywhere. So I called the pharmacy myself (with the doctor about 3 inches from the side of my face also trying to listen in on the convo). I chose my prescription based on the cheapest one with the least amount of side effects. She then sent the wrong prescription to the pharmacy so I had to deal with her all over again to get it changed. The most recent time I went was just a few weeks ago when I contracted lyme disease after a camping trip. She didnt want to give me a prescription for antibiotics (even though I had an emerging bulls eye and several symptoms) unless I took the lyme disease blood test. But, she had just told me two seconds before that the results are inconclusive and even if the test says no, that doesnt mean you dont have lyme. So I opted to not take the test since it seemed like a waste of time to begin with and she wrote me a prescription for doxycycline for just two weeks (typical/recommended dose is 3-4 weeks). I has asked just for the full prescription since I was leaving for school a few days later. I am now done with the 2-week prescription, but at living at college two hours away. I still have all the aches and pains as before, and now have to call to see if I can get a refill without coming back into the office since Im so far away. This is not a conversation I am looking forward to. Find another office and avoid a large pain in your rear!!

I have been going to Central Bucks for 20+ years and even though they are an hour away from me, I would not change doctors offices! The office staff and nurses are friendly and helpful, while the doctors are not only knowledgeable, but caring as well, particularly Dr. Treiman. In addition, I have been taking my mother there to see Dr. Smith. While I have changed all her specialists so they are closer to our home, I continue to take her to this office. Their compassion and continued interest in her well-being is unparalleled. I cannot say enough positive things about this office and would encourage anyone who is looking for a new personal care physician to consider this as a top choice.

After being with this practice for almost 15 years. I was recently diagnosed by a specialist with a rare condition. I was told by the office manager that it is their practice policy that the physicians do not make return phone calls to their patients! I only wanted to discuss a recent MRI a week later! Routine call backs from the nurse are fine under ordinary circumstances. They told me to find a new practice! And I was sent a letter from CBFP not signed by anyone; telling me they would no longer provide me with medical care! & only 30 days for emergency medical care. Nice! I will go to a clinic, thank you very much! Great practice, until you really need them:(

Thank all 5 stars for Dr. Wright. I have a rare autoimmune disease & was having severe trouble when I walk. Previously, a rheumy changed my dx to FM b/c of this & "threw" a Rx at me for Cymbalta. However, when I saw Dr. Wright for the first time she noted my purple toes & swollen hands & listened. Because of her, we caught my severe early onset of PAD, her referrals were top-notch. Now I am enrolled in an observatioal study at UPenn With a rheumy that specializes in vascular disease & beginning treatment. It sounds cliché, but Dr. Wright saved my life.

Initial visits were wonderful. After we switched over, doctors are inattentive, wait in office for hours, office staff is rude and office policies are outrageous. Cost $75 to transfer records when we only attended for one visit.
