I am not happy at all with Lenape valley. I have been seeing them for over two years with 2 separate files and 2 different doctors due to me leaving for over 4 months so of course, they closed my file and had to do the intake process all over and I got a new doctor because of it. However, that is not the main problem that I have. My biggest problem that I have is my doctor which is a nurse practioner is not considerate to my feelings, nor does she care how much I suffer. I am a grown 41 years old woman, so it is very discouraging when I know what works for me and she doesnt listen and skips over that and keeps giving me other medications. So, I gave her the authority and respect to be my doctor and take everything that she prescribed me but NOTHING WORKED on these paticular symptoms. I know what I need because I have had this problem since I was young and I was dealing with it since then. However, enough is enough, I am tired of playing her guinea pig. I tried talking about it to her several times but I guess my only option is for me to seek another doctor or nurse practioner. Thanks for listening, if anyone is, not like anyone is going to do anything about it.

I participated in Liz and Loris DBT group for almost two years and the experience was positive, however when I joined Kara Sharps DBT group the experience was very injurious. She was unprofessional, unethical, and "played favorites" with one client in the group the entire five months--even shot me down in defense of her "favorite" which reopened my rejection wound that I sustained the first 18 years of life. I bled profusely emotionally for weeks as a result of the five month injurous experience. I chose to leave Lenape Valley Foundation because of the injury I sustained. I just contacted Sharon Curran COO who invited me to contact her after I wrote the review. She inferred that Kara Sharps "favorite" did more homework than me. For therapists that supposedly specialize in Borderline Personality Disorder, the attitude of judgement and rejection is blatantly unskilled. I was abused and rejected the first 18 years of life and never expected to be judged and rejected in group therapy at LVF.

Ive just started bringing my son here who is 9 years old he suffers from Adhd, anxiety , depression, ODD and PTSD. I took him on TUESDAY for his appointment the scripts were sent to the pharmacy only issue is the Dr had to do prior authorization for the insurance company to pay for it ... Well after waiting days no response I called Friday and got "well sorry no Dr. Are in until next week" I asked the woman what happens if my son goes through withdrawal because this place wont do its job? Her response "take him to a crisis center " really?? Hes 9 and weve been calling all week and thats the response I get ? Horrible way to handle children but Im sure if it were their child it would be handled so instead of them doing their job lets add more trauma to an already traumatized child !!!!

I love my therapist. Ive been going for 3 years and have been the only thing helping me cope. Whatever your needs are, just say the word and they will do all they can to help you succeed. There are, of course, therapists with varying degrees of experience and knowledge . If one isnt feeling right to you they have no problem finding you another that would be better suited.

I was really helped here. After I had a sudden onset disability when I lost the use of my leg, members at Lenape Valley really help me to deal with it and put perspective back into my life. Also everyone was kind no one seemed angry or stressfully overworked and I felt like the people who were in my group were like me just trying to get by.

Dont quite understand what their issues with accepting certain insurances are, but especially beware if you are a senior on Medicare. They will discriminate on this basis and turn you away.I am going on someones recent experience who is close to me. Guess that they feel that a human being is really just, in essence, a number.

So Ive been working with them for 5 years now and theyre always awful to work with. They know I need certain medications yet make it nearly impossible to refill them to the point I go days without my necessary medication. Theyre a major inconvenience. I suggest going somewhere else.

Apparently they are not taking any commercial insurance at this time for some of their programs.
