doctor broke my confidentiality and violated hippa and in todays world that is not acceptable. He reveled my info to another patient and all of her info to me in a disgusting and unfounded accusation think twice before you trust them with your information. I recommended this place to my co-workers and family because they had always been extremely kind but apparently I made a GRIEVOUS error in judgement as a client of my old job went in with a similar issue to me and she was given all my info and why i went there (I was just told this after investigating after my horrid visit. Then I go back to be seen and get accused of sending this person in for meds and in this accusation Dr.Roman Matlaga gave me this other womans name, why she was seen, her complaints, when she was seen, said he thought she was faking, and then the meds he gave her which 1st alarmed me because it was none of my bussiness and 2nd it alarmed me because he thought she was faking but yet told me he gave her a powerful narcotic. So I guess if you are med seeking this is the place to go. I will not return there and I intend on telling everyone I know the same thing. Little did this doctor know I have worked in mental health and drug and alchoel care for 9 years I know hippa and my rights and he violated them. His last words to me were "i wont be made a fool of" clearly he doesnt need my help to look like a fool as with one simple phone call to the other womans group home he could have found out that her meds are monitored and controlled. So if you value your private medical information and want something more then a prescription go some place else.

Lake Region Urgent Care = Lifesaver!!! This past weekend (Memorial Day weekend) I came down with a horrendous bout of viral tonsillitis. I was so happy that there was somewhere open 7 days and not a hospital that could treat me. I went on Sunday and had to return Monday (because my condition worsened) and this was my finding on my 2 visits: I have to say, I am from New York (where supposedly we have the best hospitals and doctors) and I was a bit apprehensive about going to a small town facility. Thankfully, Lake Region Urgent Care eliminated my apprehension straight from the gate. The registration was quick and easy and they accepted my insurance. They also accept VISA/MC which is great. I was able to use my pretax flex spend card for the co-payment. Both visits I only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seen, which was impressive because there were others waiting. I was in and out in about an hour which would have never happened had I gone to the hospital. The staff (different on each day) was absolutely phenomenal and the actual facility is nice and new. I found everyone there was super professional. The doctors and nurses were thorough, knew what they were doing and had wonderful bedside manner. Honestly, I am beyond impressed and feel that I received better care than had I gone to the hospital. I highly recommend this facility!!!

I went to this facility to have some bumps and bruises checked that I received as a result from a fall. I had never been to an urgent care center before and only went to this place because I am new to the area and could not find a good primary care physician to see me right away. To be honest, I was apprehensive about the competence of the staff and the treatment I would get from an urgent care center. Lake Region Urgent Care changed my way of thinking. I was in an out in about one hour. This included filling out the paperwork (since this was my first visit), having a nurse do the preliminary checks, an exam by the doctor (Dr. Matlaga) for any injuries other than the obvious, an x-ray, a call by the doctor to my primary care physician in Florida concerning medication, and finally a discussion between the doctor and me on his findings and next steps. He took the time to explain things and answered all my questions and concerns. I received competent and professional service from the time I walked in the door until the time I left. I would definitely recommend Lake Region Urgent Care in Hawley to a friend.

I find it interesting that they have SO MANY GENERIC "GOOGLE USERS" THAT RECOMMEND THEM, If I am happy enough with a facilitys service, I would put my name on it. The one star that I gave them was because it was necessary to publish this truth, not that they are worth that much. They SUCK. Got a nail in my foot, the Dr looked at my foot and said "you have a hole in your foot. Gave me a tetanus shot, antibiotics and sent me on my way. NEVER took a culture of the wound, NEVER TOUCHED THE FOOT or even properly examined it. Two days later I returned there because my foot swelled up and changed color, I requested that they re-examine the foot, was told it will cost you a new service fee. WHEN i OBJECTED, I was told "thats the way it is, no payment no service". That day I was admitted to the local hospital, they did cultures, found out that the meds prescribed by Urgent Care were wrong and I had a massive infection of MRSA. I almost lost my leg due to the incompetence of this facility. Please do yourself a favor for your health,STAY AWAY

During our family vacation this past July I fell down attic steps in the house we were staying in. We went to this particular Urgent Care and I was seen by Eric Singer. I was in severe pain and was unable to put much weight on left side. I was given an X-ray and told I had scoliosis (I am 43 with no history of this diagnosis) and sent home with muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatories. The next morning I was unable to stand and the pain was unbearable. i called to talk to Eric Singer and he told me he couldnt help me and that I had to follow his instructions. His rudeness and arrogance was unbelievable. Thankfully, I found a competent facility in Scranton...Geisinger Medical Clinic. After an MRI and Cat Scan. I was alerted that I had ruptured two discs and my nerve had gone around my spine. I had surgery 2 days later and after flying home a month after surgery I am still in PT 4 months later. I would never recommend someone with any type of injury to go to this facility if they will be treated by Eric Singer.

Lake Region Urgent care lives up to its excellent reputation. The staff and doctors provide medical services in a convenient and professional atmosphere. I have been there several times and have always been well taken care of with accurate diagnosis and treatment. They can handle blood work, x-rays and even an EKG. (which I unfortunately needed) If they feel you need to be referred to a specialist they do not hesitate to refer rather than try to treat. They referred me to a cardiologist and saved me from a heart attack. I highly recommend this place for anything from a bad cold to a more serious injury or condition.
