I have mixed feelings on this organization. While Dr. John is a wonderful doctor, I am looking for another neurologist solely because his office staff needs some serious education on being more customer-oriented.After I had my big stroke in Aug. 2015, they gave me the run-around with scheduling my occupational therapy--saying they needed the last name of the O.T. who tested me after my stroke before they could assign me O.T. services, even though they knew that O.T. was part of the same Lancaster General Healthcare Group Dr. John belongs to member of and that the O.T.practiced at their outpatient pavilion. I thought that was an odd requirement, but even more so when -- after literally waiting several months for Johns staff to get back to me and checking with them every few weeks, I turned to my primary care physicians office for O.T. scheduling help and they didnt need Alans last name before signing me up for OT services within the week and at this same pavilion Johns staff also proved to be a disappointment upon my release from the hospital this past winter for a series of mini-strokes and I tried to get an follow-up appointment with him the week afterwards at HIS insistence. His receptionist tried to get me to agree to an April appointment after I told her it was Dr. John himself who wanted to see me the week I called. I finally got my required appointment after Dr. Johns nurse called me back and convinced the office staff to squeeze me in just like the doctor had requested. But I kept on wondering why it had to come to that and why they dropped the ball on my therapy earlier.

This was the worst experience of my mothers life. First, her original appointment was rescheduled which slowed her process in getting her hand surgery. Then, on the day of her EMG appointment, we arrived a little early so that we could possibly get this situation started concerning getting my mothers hand surgery, but we soon noticed the lack of professionalism within this medical office. The receptionist was horrible because she lied by saying my mother would go back right away and not to mention we were left waiting way past my mothers scheduled appointment time. The office did not have the common courtesy to even consider that since they had to reschedule my mothers appointment that they should at least try to take my mother back as soon as possible. It also seemed that the receptionist was focusing on talking and walking back and forth with no care in the world about my mother waiting well past 45 minutes after her scheduled appointment time. So, overall the experience was awful and I would never ever recommend anyone this medical facility, because lack of professionalism for patients is never a good sign of any practice!!!
