Its been years since Ive had my eyes checked and I felt it was time to put my insurance to good use. I heard that there was an eye examination office that had just opened up in Northern Liberties; so, I decided to swing by to check the place out since I was already going to be in the area for some awesome crawfish at Crabby Cafe. My first impression as I walked through the door was that the office was clean and well lit with lots of natural light coming in through the glass walls of the office. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They were definitely accommodating and helped me search for the perfect pair of frames amongst their wide selection of reasonably priced frames while II was waiting for my examination. The wait was not long at all considering that I didnt make an appointment prior to walking into the office. They have Saturday as well as Sunday office hours which is convenient for someone like me who is too busy during the weekdays. Dr Dinh came out to the waiting area to see me. He was very professional and seemed very knowledgable as I told him a little about my vision history. Being an inquisitive person, I asked him questions about the process to which he was more than happy to answer as he was giving me the examination. The best part of the visit was that I was able to walk out with my prescription glasses on the same day because they were able to cut my lenses at the office right after the examination. In all, I cannot complain about my experience at Trend Eye Care. It was fast and easy. Plus, I walked out of there with some stylish Carrera sunglasses as well as a pair of Ray Ban prescription glasses.

My mother and I came here on impulse. We have been needing to get our eyes checked but just havent had the time. She wanted new glasses and I wanted prescription sunglasses. We came in unscheduled and Dr. Chuong saw us right away. Despite her young age, Dr. Chuong impressed me with her knowledge and skills. She noticed my mother had the beginning of cataracts in her eye and immediately gave her advice on how to prevent it from getting worse. She recommended my mother get special lenses to protect her eyes from UV light as well as transitions. Dr. Chuong was extremely efficient at her job so the exams were completed very quickly. After that, Dr. Chuong handed us off to her optician Wendy, who continued to provide us with excellent service. Wendy was friendly and sweet. There were an overwhelming number of frames to choose from and Wendy helped my mother and I select the best looking frames and practical lenses without breaking the bank. The glasses I brought in with me were all scratched up and Dr. Chuong suggested I replace the lens. Trend cut my new lenses right then and there and in less than 15 minutes, I had new lenses in my old frames! A week later, my sunglasses came in and I love them so much! They look great, feel great, and most importantly, protect my eyes from the UV light. My moms glasses are due in any day now and she cant wait to wear them every day. Thanks Trend Eye Care for a wonderful experience and a special thanks to Dr. Chuong and Wendy for your personalized customer service. I highly recommend Trend Eye Care!

I don’t write reviews very often, but Trend Eye Care is one of those places people should know about. I needed a new eye exam/Rx/glasses immediately, popped in without appointment, and had my new glasses the next day (would have been the same day but I had slipped in just before they closed). A few weeks later, I went back for more—same deal, in and out in minutes, glasses in less than 24 hours. I got text notification that the glasses were ready, which is nice, saved an extra step. They have a lab there in-house and turn around glasses faster than any other provider I’ve visited (including Lens Crafters and Pearl). Latoya (optician) is just wonderful—very considerate, easy going, and kept track of my preferences and concerns well enough to keep me on track when I returned weeks later. The entire staff has been welcoming, friendly and helpful, without any pressure or rush whatsoever, very knowledgable regarding insurance coverage and their large selection of frames and options for materials and coating, etc. Dr. Chuong saw me within minutes of my first visit—without appointment—and she was patient, kind, understanding, listened and adjusted to suit my needs. I can’t think of any negatives, honestly, even parking (ample). my verdict: Trend Eye Care is THE place to go for glasses in Philly.

I got a pair of black plastic Prada ( frames from Trend Eye Care over 5 years ago (appx. August 2011) after I lost my glasses in the ocean. Tony along w/ my sis were patient with me and helped me with fitting and gave advice. I got plenty of compliments on them as they were a rare pair of glasses that fit my face really well. I also went back and took my gf there to get her a new pair of glasses as a gift since she had some ugly old thick plastic glasses that I criticized for a while. Those were replaced with Burberry black plastic frames and she loves them. Its been almost 2 years (Dec 2014) since I ordered those, and they were shipped to my place in Maryland. If youre looking for a new pair of glasses, I suggest trying this place. New glasses and lenses can be expensive anywhere, and Im far from being a flashy person, but when it comes to your eyes, your car, your bed, or your living space, you spend hours and hours. My glasses purchase is lasting me 5+ years so the cost ends up being worth the investment. Highly recommend this place. Read all the other reviews and youll become a believer.

Im not going to lie when I was researching for new eye doctor I was a little skeptical because they have a perfect score. I figured I tried it out anyways just for kicks and Im glad I did! I have never been to an amazing eye place like this! The customer service is beyond spectacular! The African-American lady that help me out was so informative so nice and kind and you could tell that she wasnt faking it because I was a customer but this was her genuine nature. The doctor that checked me out was also very informative about my contacts which no other doctor has ever done. And Ive been wearing glasses for 11 years contacts for a year off and on prior to seeing them. Even down to paying him for my contacts the billing guy was super nice and really cool. I dont care now that I moved out of the area this is MY eye place. I work in healthcare and if my vision carrier had them listed as out of network Id still go. And that says something because I wouldnt never pay out of network prices for anything.

I had a great experience at Trend Eye Care. Their staff was professional, very generous with their time (I went through a LOT of frame and lens combinations before making my selection), greeted me by name when I entered the shop, and knew me every time I called in, despite the fact that I spoke with multiple people. Clearly the staff communicates well with each other. I worked a lot with Paige, and she was really great. I went in for prescription sunglasses (frames & polarized lenses), and they threw in new lenses for my existing eyeglass frames at a nice discount, just so that my prescription could be updated and be the same between my two pairs. Three months in, all hardware is performing very well and the new prescription is great. Fast, efficient, welcoming service for descent hardware--cant ask for much more. Quite pleased with my experience & would recommend this shop.
