Ive never had such a wonderful experience with a vet. We have a array of animals (a pitbull, 4 rats and a chinchilla). First off, the Doctor that saw my dog was amazing. She kept calling her "Tater Tot" and giving her a bunch of treats. She could tell my dogs afraid of many things so she did all of the shots in the room. I thought this was absolutely wonderful. They were so great with my dog! Last week my husband brought our pet rat in since he was under the weather. The vet that saw him had special meds ordered for us to pick up but unfortunately our rattie passed suddenly. We are heartbroken. We decided to have him cremated. When we took him in, the girl said she had called to see if there was any discounts for pocket pets (there wasnt) but it was sweet of her to check. I was so sad to hand him over but I know that he was in good hands. The girl asked us about certain customizations and really took her time. Shortly after we got a card in the mail from the vet. It said how sorry she was to hear about the passing of our baby boy and how she was lucky she got to meet him and how handsome he was. It literally made us cry. She had only met him once and was beyond sweet to send us a card. It feels good to know we have such caring people looking out for our animals.

I take my cat here and Ive always had good experiences. Service is friendly and prompt, I have yet to wait more then a minute or two past my scheduled appointment time and the vets are in-and-out of the exam rooms quickly and efficiently. The place is clean and staffing always seems to be at suitable levels. If there is one thing I would advise some discretion on is that the vets do seem to quite quick to dole out a prescription-based solution. So make sure you ask questions, find out if the recommended drugs are actually 100% needed or just recommended. Their pricing is pretty standard here, maybe a smidgen on the high side but the prescriptions they seem to push add to the bill very quickly. That would be my only concern but as long as you take the time to ask questions and get as much information as possible first, you can make your own decisions as to if your animal truly needs what theyre recommending.

We have taken our dog here his whole life. It has always been more expensive, but we made that sacrifice because we believed he was getting the best care. Now he is struggling with an unknown condition. he has been persrcibed steroids twice and as soon as his medicine is done, the problem comes back worse then before. Weve spent hundreds of dollars and still have no answer as to what is going on with him. We need to have another test done ($150) and they will not perform the test prior to payment. I asked if I could at least speak to the Vet last night and was told one would call me. That never happened. I ended up looking into loan options to get him seen as he is not eating now. Now they are booked and will see if they will squeeze him in. Definitely not feeling the love.....

As much as I use to love taking my animals to Shiloh, I really feel that they pressure you to do unnecessary tests. One doctor tells me that my dog needs a $400.00 teeth cleaning (which was declined) and the next time I go in (1 year later), my dogs teeth are fine! I didnt even brush them throughout the year because I cant get a brush in his mouth! I dont understand why this practice with so many followers wouldnt open their practice for 4 hours on a Sunday once a month and offer a free nail trim for their customers (which usually costs $12.00) or a free exam or free advice. I know these doctors have worked long and hard to make the money that they have and to keep their business running, but why not give something back to the people/animals you serve once in awhile?

I contacted Shiloh on a Monday evening. I am not a patient of theirs but I was stressed out to get a medication filled for my sweet boy boots. I went to the local pharmacies nobody carry the drug and they suggested I check with Shiloh to see if they would happen to fill it for me. I called them and they said come right over. They filled the drug for me with no hassle and were so kind to help me out on such a crucial stressful evening looking for a medication that I could not find and not even my normal vet could help me since they were not open. I thank Shiloh for being so kind and helpful and caring for my baby boy boots. They were fantastic and kind-hearted and definitely showed compassion!

From the second I walked in the door with our new little puppy, I was greeted by friendly faces and kind and helpful words. The experience reminded me of when I took my first child to their first pediatrician visit- They treated little Boo like he was something special. The staff was extremely friendly, the vet was patient and insightful, and the environment was welcome and clean. I had no idea what to expect as this was my first ever vet experience, and I was pleasantly surprised. Even the other few people in the waiting room were smiling and friendly and talkative which, I believe, is also a direct reflection of the environment the staff has created.

Over the years we have had many different experiences with Shiloh Vet. All of them great! The staff as well as the doctors are so wonderful. They truly treat each animal (and the people) with love and compassion. They are knowledgeable and accommodating to each special need. The facility is very clean and user friendly (with a separate side for dogs and cats). The hours are accommodating as well with some days being open until 8 pm. I have nothing but love and respect for how well they operate together as a team from the first phone call to the final invoice. This veterinary practice is awesome!

I could not be happier we have received at Shiloh. Dr. Schneider and Dr. Owings are so knowledgeable and dedicated. I owe my dogs life to them. This practice is very accommodating for someone just needing routine Veterinary care for their dog, and experienced and advanced enough to treat chronic illnesses, serious, acute problems, and uncommon conditions. All of the staff have been nothing but kind and helpful. I highly recommend Shiloh Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a new vet or anyone looking for a second opinion.

I have been bringing my dog & cat here over 4 years and love this place. Their prices are on par with other vets in the York area, not the most expensive, not the cheapest, but definitely the nicest facility and the most responsive vets and technicians. I was even able to email pictures of over the counter vitamins and "doggy tylenol" to the vet and get a call back with input about it at no cost! By far the most caring vets office Ive ever worked with. Thank you so much Shiloh Vet! <3

At Shiloh Vet we are treated like family and our pets receive such loving care. The Dr.s and staff, know that these are not just our pets but our beloved fur babies. We have brought all our pets (13 to date) to SVH for over 25 yrs. because we receive the finest in medical care for our kitties. When we have had to make hard decisions we are given the most compassionate advice and everything possible is done to help us make the best choice. We would not consider going anywhere else.
