I have been using Dr. Feinsod for my rats and rabbit for a few years now. I will never trust another vet as much as I trust him. He takes the time to explain the current research to you instead of rushing you out of the office when youre concerned about your pet and struggling through an emotionally difficult time. We had to take our rabbit to the emergency vet one night and followed up with Dr. Feinsod. Had we not come to see him, our rabbit would certainly be dead. He increased the dosage of the antibiotics, added some more needed medicine and discussed every possible option with us. After some tests, we determined that it was probable that our bun had a brain parasite AND a bacterial infection. We went in weekly for penicillin shots in addition to the home care. Dr. Feinsod and his wonderful staff were patient, understanding, and most importantly - showed empathy when handling our wriggling, rolling, terrified rabbit. They truly saved his life. When I brought in a rat to be neutered, Dr. Feinsod explained the various methods of neutering a rat and went on to describe the method he chooses to use and why. I appreciated that I had the chance to hear how the surgery was going to go before it happened. The surgery went fine, recovery was speedy, and when I left the pain medicine sitting on the counter, they made sure I was able to come back and pick it up after hours. It is rare to find an entire staff of individuals who are so committed to their patients and their patients families. Its also rare to find a team who are so knowledgeable about so many species. Just because a vet agrees to see an exotic animal, doesnt always mean theyre familiar with what the best care is for that species. Its relieving to have somebody within a reasonable distance who I know can take care of any animal I will ever have. Dr. Feinsod is educated, intelligent, and its obvious that he maintains knowledge of the current research in his field. I will continue to trust Dr. Feinsod and his excellent team to care for my pets.

My daughter adopted a rabbit from the SPCA and wasnt told of the medical problems he had. She took him to Ani-Care and they told her he had an infected tooth that needed to be removed and quoted her $400-$600 and told her she could get Care Credit and pay $50-$80 a month. She found out after they started the surgery that she wasnt eligible for the Care Credit and when she called them to ask if she could pay them directly $50-$80 a month they told her no. She then asked what the total was and they wouldnt give it to her over the phone. She asked what she should do and they told her they were keeping the rabbit until she came up with the money. Every person from the vet to the credit manager to the rude male receptionist has been incredibly cruel. I understand that some people dont fulfill their commitment to pay, but the female credit manager made us feel like complete losers and never even gave us a chance. My daughter only wanted to help give this rabbit a home and they treated her like a deadbeat. They also charged her for the overnight boarding ($36) on top of everything else when it was they who insisted on keeping the rabbit as a hostage until she came up with the money. She had $200 saved up and emptied her savings account and they took the money and handed her the bill for the balance. When she went in to pick him up the vet wouldnt even come out and give her instructions and the credit manager had her back turned to her the whole time pretending to file. The rude receptionist made her cry. This place is completely heartless. And $550 to have a rabbits tooth removed? Give me a break. The break down of the bill is ridiculous. The things they charged her for and the amounts are inexcusable! We will never go back! They acted like mobsters keeping my daughters bunny until she came up with the cash!!

I was desperate, I had a very sick corn snake and reptile vets are few and far between. When I first walked in I was hit with the odor. The place stank. Not a medical antiseptic smell, but a there are animals stinking up the place here smell. But I still had a sick snake so I stayed. I was greeted pretty quick after opening the door. AND after filling out a new patient whats the concern sheet I was taken in to see the doctor right away even though I was at least a half hour early for my appointment. Doc took a look and instead of seeing dollar signs started talking to me about several concerns and courses of action. He was very knowledgeable and not the least bet condescending about my lack of expertise in the species I chose to have as a pet. Ill be back!! And as for the smell, I have 11 pets in my house, I know its not always easy to keep it odor free.

There is no way, using only words, to do justice to just how incredible Dr. Feinsod is. His knowledge and expertise is seemingly limitless. And the prices are VERY reasonable. My cat needed surgery that was going to cost up to $3400 in philadelphia, but Dr. Feinsod performed the same surgery for just under $2000. And I can tell you that, without a doubt, the cheaper price did NOT mean that my cats care or health was compromised in any way shape or form. Plus, he takes the time to explain, in detail, the procedures he is going to perform on your pet and why to all owners. It is clear that he is passionate about what he does and your furry, feathery, or scaly pal is in the best hands in the world with Dr. Feinsod.

My vet at East York recommend that I take my dog to a clinic in Etters for a possible ACL tear in his hind leg. He was diagnosed with a dislocated knee cap. The doctor there was not very friendly and way out of my price range. I made a few phone calls and found Ani-Care. First off the visit was $100 cheaper, Dr. Feinsod walks you through the injury, surgery and rehab. My dog is now recovering very well from the surgery and I cant come up with any complaints to try to improve anything about this animal hospital. My dog is currently recovering very well from his surgery!!

Dr. Feinsod is not only a brilliant vet, but an amazing person too. When I mentioned that I was interested in vet school, he talked with me for over an hour about his experiences. He even recognized me at a reptile show a few years after my rabbits last appointment, which was really nice. He also noticed things right away about why my rabbit was having difficulties moving and his prices were very reasonable. He truly cares about not only the animals that come into his care, but also the people. I work at a pet store and always recommend Ani-Care to anyone I can.

Took both my dog and cat for their first vet visit ever and was really impressed by the experience. The prices were very reasonable, they had late hours that helped a lot with my work schedule, the vet took time to answer all of my questions and was able to tell me a great deal about my pets personality and habits - and was right on! Got some great training tips too. Dr. Feinsod (the new vet thats taken over the practice) is definitely my new vet - my dog came out of a whole bunch of tests and neutering with her tale still wagging, and thats all I need to know.
