I want to start off by saying that I am a reasonable person and this is the first review I have ever left on Google. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. OUR PET IS NOW FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE. READ BELOW: In December we took one of our Siberian Huskies in to see the doctor due to weight gain. Suzanne Steeley (she does not deserve the title of Doctor) examined him, took a blood test, and determined that he had a Thyroid issue and put him on Thyroid medication. Great we thought, he will be back to normal in no time. Wrong! After putting him on the medication it didnt take long for his mood to change dramatically. He become very sluggish and seemed depressed. We called the office concerned, but were reassured that this was just a side effect of the medicine. By February he had lost over 20lbs and had stopped having any interest in food. Again we called concerned and took him in for another exam. Again we were told this was from the medication and Suzanne Steely even stated "Aside from being over-weight he is a perfectly healthy dog." We continued the medication as we believed from the feedback he just needed to adjust, but he continued to get worse and worse. He would only eat chicken we cooked for him and eventually stopped that and stopped drinking water as well. I made the decision to take him off the meds about 2 weeks ago to see if he would improve. He continued to get worse though and all of my faith was lost in Mrs. Steely and Charles E. Londons practice so we explored other options. Jameson (our Husky) has been in intensive care for the past week and has been seen by 5 separate Doctors in Maryland, 2 ultrasound specialist, a internal medicine specialist, his test results have been sent to specialist in California, and the overwhelming feedback is how the hell did they miss this!? He is now in late stage liver failure because this went undiagnosed for so long. We are doing everything we can to save him as he is only 5 years old. Two of the doctors said we have a strong case for a law suit due to the negligence by Charles E. Londons office. However, our concern right now is saving his life and it is not looking good. I will do everything I can in my power to hold this office accountable and please think twice before you put your pets life in their hands. Because I hate negativity and Google wont allow me to give them anything less than 1 star... The man with the glasses and pony tail that works at the front desk is extremely attentive and nice. He has been my only positive experience working with this place. Kudos to him. Also, please do not insult me and respond to this review with an email address to someone I am sure probably can not offer any resolution to this issue. You contributed to shortening the life of a young pup. There is absolutely nothing you can do to fix this.

VCA Charles E. London Animal Hospital and Suzanne Steeley, DVM essentially killed my healthy 9 month old puppy Oze. I took him there on Feb. 7 for them to do a routine neuter operation. 3 days later he was dead. I began getting concerned the evening of Feb 8 because he was vomiting and wasnt making urine. He would want to go out and would strain and push but nothing was coming out. After taking him back to my vet on the 9th and getting no relief, we headed down to a specialist in Towson, MD who did an exploratory surgery. You can read his findings within the attached letter, but basically his urinary system had been sutured closed in 2 places, had a hole in the neck of his bladder and unrepairable tissue damage. To add insult to injury, the testicle, that was the point of the initial procedure, had been left inside him. So I guess she removed something else? I dont know. The surgeon in Towson said he couldnt locate the prostate and the urethra wasnt located where it was supposed to be. I want to complement the specialist in Towson, however, because he and the entire facility and staff couldnt have been more considerate and professional. It was startling to contrast them against the incompetence and apathy I received from my vet at VCA. I wouldnt want anyone else to experience the pain and loss Oze and I have had to endure. This is just the beginning of my campaign to make sure that everyone possible hears our story. I gave them 1 star because google doesnt let you give 0.

I had an appointment and called ahead to say that i would be a few minutes late (meaning less than 5), and the lady on the phone rudely told me not to bother coming because i would have to wait for next week to see the vet. I told her that i was right around the corner and would be there shortly, and she insisted that I reschedule. I had absolutely no availability, so I called elsewhere. This is in stark contrast from how a young man who was friendly and informative a few weeks before when I initially made the appointment.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at these offices since I started bringing my dogs here a few years ago. Dr. Bateman is our primary vet and she is fantastic! The staff are always kind, helpful and great with my animals. I particularly enjoy appointments in the annex building. Shiela (i think thats her name, Im horrible with names) is always a joy to talk to and is so sweet with my kids and dogs alike!! I couldnt be happier!!

I just want to say I can not more highly recommend this place or these people. I had a small emergency today and the level of kindness and professionalism added to the personality and warmth made the most out of a stressful situation. I wish it were under different circumstances that we met but Im glad we did and I am whole heartedly appreciative of the quality of care for both pet and people. THANK YOU ~ Jessica

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR PETS DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. For a field that the most important quality to have is to care they most certainly DO NOT CARE, well I shouldnt speak for every single employee there but Suzanne Steeley certainly doesnt! 0 stars in my eyes but Google is too generous.

Stay Away. Go elsewhere. We were working with Dr. Steeley. Our dog had a high liver enzyme level. We had an ultrasound done at the Emergency Clinic. Dr. Steeley never called us after the ultrasound to discuss the results or our options. She does not care about your pet. Please go elsewhere.

Very proud to take my pets here. The vets, techs, and reception are all very knowledgeable and friendly. They take good care of my two dogs and can always answer any questions I may have. I am also always notified when its time for a vaccination or check up! That really comes in handy!
