Last time my babies will ever go here again. Its not a good strategy to pretend to care, offer to help in any way, give bad advice thats costing me a fortune and when I ask for the help offered deny me. And then really dont end the call asking "is there anything else I can do for u?" WTF.. U HAVENT DONE ANYTHING FOR ME EXCEPT LOSE MY BUSINESS - and to make it worse, after Id requested no more phone calls, a doctor phoned to to "defend" himself (his words) & actually started off by semi-chastizing me for posting on social media; however, he did change his attitude & become more polite when I explained Im a comm consultant & social media strategist. The very worst part was that I felt he wouldnt take responsibility. I felt as if he was acting as if Im searching for freebies & he kept referencing my last visit when they comped 2 services; however, that was comparing apples to oranges as last visit they made numerous mistakes & when you dont deliver the service requested thats what you do - you remove them from the bill. I was happy when I left, but he wouldnt keep bringing it up; and I tried to explain that visit had nothing to do with this one. He said I "verbally assualted" him on social media - umm, no. I didnt use ad hominen attacks; I did, in an admittedly hostile tone, review the facts of my experience. If he finds his actions embarrassing then perhaps changing how he deals with clients is a smart move. The oddest thing he did was tell me several times they often help people out in dire straits - I would add each time "just not me, thats comforting." This is very disappointing & the lifetime of $ they would have received from me surely outweighs the $78 boarding fee I was asking to be removed, They told me what to do at 1st visit, I did it & it didn;t work. A $20 can of bug spray would have solved the issue; however, I followed their advice and it cost me roughly $300. A shame. The receptionists were lovely & kind & made picking up my girls pleasant. Id like to thank them both.

I have two dogs and two cats with this vet. I boarded my two cats over the winter holidays (Dec. 15 2014 to Jan. 5 2015) and I have to express my profound disappointment and concern with the cat boarding facilities . I dropped the cats off in a hurry in December and didnt get a chance to visit the facilities. When I picked them up in January I asked to see where they had been held. To my horror, I found out that the cats had spent the ENTIRE two weeks in small cages, deprived of any sort of exercise and direct sunlight. The cat room where they were looks like a disused boiler room with a small window that is high up on the wall and no space where they can be let out to play once in a while. I have boarded my cats at other facilities and they all had a space where the cats were left to roam for a few hours each day. Both cats looked depressed and smelled of urine because the cages are so small they are practically sitting in the litter box! I thought that boarding them with a veterinary hospital would guarantee that they would be well taken care of but I see that it is no such thing. Future cat boarding clients - please visit the facilities BEFORE you board and ask about the conditions of the boarding. Otherwise you will have depressed and reeking felines on your hands!

When we adopted our Frenchie the rescue required us to have a vet knowledgeable on the brachiocephalic breeds. We lucked out on finding Dr. Slattery who himself has bulldogs and is very familiar with the breed. We loved Dr. Slattery and loved the clinic. We moved away in 2015 and have returned back to the area. We were excited to return back to Walnut Grove but our interactions in the last few months particularly in dealing with the front office staff has been disappointing and less than satisfactory. They are not especially friendly and clearly have no customer service brains. Small inconveniences like not informing people of construction related issues with parking and accessing the building, and staff that act like your questions are burdensome and stupid give the impression that they are not interested in anything other than your money. Even trying to get our dogs medical information faxed to the new vet was like pulling teeth and they still havent completed this task.

I would not recommend this vet to anyone. On our first visit, I got my dog vaccinated at their office. Yesterday, I suddenly got a bill a MONTH after my visit for a vaccination that my dog had received. When I questioned them about the random bill they simply stated they "forgot to charge me for it". It seemed completely their mistake to me but they still made me pay it. How am I supposed to know in the future if they will suddenly remember something I should have payed for at my last visit and send me random bills. No thanks!! I was also not please with my last visit when they wanted to take my dog (who had a broken toe nail) into the back for treatment without Dr. Taylor even coming to see him or talk to me first! Thats not okay in my book. Needless to say, I will not be going back and would urge others to save themselves the trouble of trying it out!

This may sound strange, but I cant express how much I appreciate the people there. We have had two animals which we took to them for a LONG time. When the time came, the people there were kind and straight with us. This was very important to me. I appreciated their honesty. It was a tough decision to put them to sleep, but the people made us feel as if we were making the best choice. Looking back, we did. They could have encouraged expensive treatment which would just fail regardless, but they were honest. These folks love animals and love to take care of them. Im not 100% sure that their boarding facilities would be good for long-term boarding, but they offer the basic care a pet needs. I also love that I could drop my pet off in the morning, and they would work him in during the day.

Dr. Halford is the only vet that we will take our dog (Buddy) to. He is so caring not only for your pet but for you also. He understands that your pet is your friend and an important member of your family. Two years ago our 16 year old dear friend Harry was not able to get up and was hurting as he was near death. We took him to Dr Halford to put him to sleep. Dr. Halford was so merciful and kind as he explained that Harry wasnt going to feel anything it was time and made us feel at peace with this painful experience. The entire staff is friendly and caring. Your pet are in well cared for at Walnut Animal Clinic.

Very good vets that take time with all animals. If folks are in a hurry or drop off before holidays it seems the owners did not plan for their animals ahead of time to avoid any problems. Or not asking questions and just leaving. I am sure there are cheaper prices for less all day in cage if you leave animals. I learned Never to leave my dogs at vets in the late 1990s when one Died..should have asked more questions but like others we were in a rush. That is when i went to Walnut Grove and have been with them for 18 yrs.
