Well this experience is with the baby delivery floor..my daughter went there several times in 2 weeks which was early. they stopped her contractions and sent her home which is fine, but the day my grandson was born we had been in the hospital for little while the evening before and on til 3am when they gave her a pain shot cause she was having major contractions every one minute without missing a minute and said Dr. Whitley said send her home and go see your baby Dr in morning. I asked the nurse why are you sending her home with her having contractions every minute, she is still having them every minute, Right? The nurse looked at the sheet and said yes sir shes having them every minute. So I asked, well we suppose to bring her in when her contractions are every 6 minutes and you sending her home at one minute contractions how the hell do we know when to bring her Back? The nurse replied, well I guess bring her back when the pain gets a whole lot worse. I said, well you know right before this pain shot she was screaming in pain. Well we gonna dismiss her so she has to go. So we left I took her home and pain medicine wore off in 30 minutes or less she went back to screaming in pain so went back to hospital they gave her 1 more of those contraction shots to stop the contractions and it didnt work she still having 1 minute contractions so finally they made phone call to her baby Dr and he said to get her prepped for surgery because she had to have c section. About hour later they delivered my grandson who had swollen face and extreme blue and bruised and was not breathing when he came out and her Dr made the comment, had it been 45 minutes later the baby would have been stillborn because of lack of oxygen. So if I could rate the hospital or better yet Dr. Whitley a negative 100 thats what I would give them. Beware if you go into labor early, please. If Dr whitley is there I would recommend you ask for different Dr..just my opinion.

Worst experience ever!! I was visiting my in-laws and had an accident which caused me to break my finger. Because of the two hour drive back home (Nashville), my husband and I decided to go to Hardin Medical. The service wasnt all that bad, but the knowledge of the staff was ridiculous! How they have a degree or work in a field of health just blows my mind. The doctor, first off, argued that my finger wasnt broke. Seriously!! I was making a gang sign, and I didnt even have to move my fingers! Then when the x-rays came back, he was actually in shock. Really... And then he proceeded to tell me that he didnt know what to do, and that I should just go back to Nashville and go to the hospital there. Oh, and did I mention this was Christmas Eve! Yeah, that ER visit would be ridiculous. Plus, I was already there. So after arguing with the doctor, he finally decided to set my finger which he did wrong! He ended up causing more damage than good. Ugh.. And yes, following that other post, the billing department is just plain stupid. Not only did I get an ER bill, I also got a physicians bill, because he was not in network! WTH!! At least tell your patients if the staff is not in the network! Long story short I ended up having to have surgery to get a screw placed in my finger. So the doctors visit, surgery, and occupational therapy post surgery ALL COST LESS THAN HARDIN MEDICAL!! Really!! Unless you are truly dying, I would suggest driving to either Jackson or Nashville before going to Hardin Medical!

The hospital needs to work on their billing department. The hospital is in network with my insurance but the emergency physician group is not. What kind of business model is that? They need to tell you that when you walk in the door needing help. If they would have told me that I would have driven to Nashville to get the emergency care I needed and been out 100 copay and gas money. I would have saved about 680 out of pocket. After talking to people in town, I am not the only one this has happened to. I have never been treated at an in network facility with the Doctor staff out of network. This is the problem with American health care. I pay out the nose for health insurance and then still have to pay 100 copay for ER visit. Then a month later hit with a 680 dollar bill for a doctor group that is out of network working in an in network hospital.

Staff and Drs very rude, arrogant and insulting! Dr and nurse practitioner refused to call my Dr at Semmes Murphy in Memphis who told me to go to this emergency room so I could get staples removed so I could charge my neurostimulator so they could work on it at my next visit in 2 days. They looked at me and talked to me like I was some dope head off the streets. I was in a lot of pain but wasnt asking for pain medication. I just wanted my staples removed so I could go home and get my own pain relief from my stimulator. I had to call my Dr and put my phone in the emergency room Drs face so he would talk to them. They did end up removing the staples finally after that. A lot of unnecessary fighting and arguing for nothing all because they wanted to be jerks. I will never go back and I recommend nobody go there unless they are forced to.

This place sucks on every level. Rude nurses and drs and they dont know what they are doing. I called and complained of chest pains and asked about heart monitoring and the nurse went on to ask if I had been to specialist and I asked if I could be put on a heart monitor for few hours so they could see what my heart was doing and the chest pain Id feel randomly with it and she said that there was no a cardiologist there and Id need to be referred to a specialist to do so.that they couldnt really help me with anything or even prefer me to specialist. Thats bs. Smh. Im done even writing this review. This jst happend 2 hours ago. Im at jackson medical now...

I went to the ER with chest pains. Several tests were run and it was determined that I needed to be admitted for a couple of other tests, including a stress test. I found the nurses and staff very friendly and the doctors very helpful. I do, however, agree with the statement about having ER doctors who are not in-network. My daughter had a similar incidence. I called our insurance company and explained that we did not have a choice in the matter. The insurance company adjusted the claim and paid the ER doctor so I did not have to.

How many of us "lay people" are willing to miss our holiday for someone else? How many of us are willing to walk several rounds in the middle of the night dealing with people that dont really appreciate the care they are receiving? How many of us are willing to do something for someone else when they act like we owe it to them and dont even bother thanking us? How many of us are willing to bear the lack of cooperation and the ingratitude of others, and keep on day after day after day? Count your blessings
