I would recommend Bartonville Veterinary Center and Dr. McClain to anyone in need of a great animal care center. They have taken care of my fur babies for the past two years with medical treatment and boarding and I couldnt be more pleased! My girls are always bathed and well groomed when I pick them up and the staff members are so courteous and polite treating them like they are their own pets. When I had to put my very old baby down this year they let me hold her during the entire procedure explaining each step of the process before administering it and even cried with us. Afterward they took care of the cremation and had her ashes returned to me within the week with the sweetest keepsakes including her paw print and her ashes in a cedar box engraved with her name. I read the reviews of facilities before I enlist the services; however, there is always that one person who bad mouths therefore I take into account there are way more good reviews. The point is this place is AWESOME! Caring, compassionate, clean, very affordable and simply the best!

Since we moved to Bartonville, 4 years ago, weve been going to Dr McClain office for our pets. When my girls (four legged kind) were just 6 weeks old, the office seemed to be a good fit but it struck me funny that we never actually seen Dr. McClain. Then, fast forward each year the same, never see the Dr. when we take the dogs there. When taking them in to get groomed they immediately want to muzzle them but my girls dont bite unless they are hurt and even then its not a bite. Then, when I get them back they have bloodshot eyes and frantic.

Dr Jon and his staff go above and beyond to make any visit pleasant. If you call at last minute or in advance, they fit you in and take GREAT care of the dogs. All of my dogs love the staff and arent afraid to go to the Vet. In sad times they comfort you and your family making this unbearable process a little easier. Dr. Jon isnt quick to push prescription medicine but looks at all the options and outcomes allowing good sound decisions. Great Vet, Great Staff, Great experience, Thanks from all the Gardner Girls

We have been customers for years with 4 dogs. Recently we had to make the sad decision to send our girl to dog heaven. It was one of the worst decisions I had to make. The staff at BVC was amazing. They were so kind, compassionate and patient. The experience was not pleasant, but they made is so much easier. I am awaiting the paw print in clay to commemorate our dogs love from them. What a nice touch. Thank you to the docs and staff there. I love yall!

Been lucky enough to see multiple veterinary clinics in action. Dr. McClain offers extremely fair prices, and a compassionate staff from doctor and technicians, to reception. They go the extra mile to offer the best customer service, and quality in every department. Here for your pet and for you. You will not find a more loving place for your pet to visit. Its a convenient location, and a truly gorgeous and homey feeling to the office!

After a bad boarding experience back in August, I made the mistake of boarding here again this past weekend. Picked up my dogs covered in their own feces! Absolutely disgusting. The excuses given by staff members was equally as disgusting. Exact same problem happened back in August. I cannot believe the lack of proper care this place has in boarding services. I will not be using your center again for boarding or standard vet services.

Ah man. Fantastic. Great, caring, smart, experienced doctor, gentle with your fur baby, well trained staff who are very caring about your pet and understanding when you are upset and worried. Busy, but never too busy to be courteous, kind, and attentive. Boarding very good.

Old doctor left, he was great. Now they dont want to refill Rx w/o visit, they told me if you have hard copy of Rx its still ok, but they will not sent fax to pharmacy? Went to Lantana Animal clinic once and they are really nice and helpful. Will change vet.

Been in with as many as 10 pups for first shots and with a 16 year old at his end. A most comfortable setting. Caring attention. And the Ladies are just wonderful to work with. Cant speak highly enough of the Ladies!!

Since Dr. MaLain sold the business the prices have sky rocketted and not to please with treatment with the new dr. Took 3 visits to cure an ear infection and about 600.00.
