On two occasions nurses handled my cats in a rough manner I was uncomfortable with (holding full-grown 12 lb. cat by the scruff in mid-air while she adjusted the scale). Suspected a urinary tract infection with him. After more than half a day they couldnt get a urine sample, so the vet said hed give an injection anyway because "it couldnt hurt him." That visit was $75 for basically nothing. This week I took my female, and the nurse put my cats head in a cruel grip to show me her teeth were dirty, then asked if I wanted to try brushing her teeth. I said okay, and she brought back a "sample" (her words) toothpaste. Upon checking out, I saw on my receipt they charged $7.70 for it without ever telling me there would be a charge. I disagreed with the vets advice on some things. My cat is four and she went from 8.6 to 10.2 pounds in the last year, so I asked if we should check her thyroid level. The vet said "no." She also said I should discipline my cat with a spray bottle, which is no longer considered a good idea. Upon leaving, the receptionist almost forgot to prepare a rabies tag, and after I got home I noticed on the paperwork that they had given my cat a 3-year vaccine without telling me, as opposed to 1-year. Also, the paperwork said the vaccine lot had expired in November 2011. My name and address were mispelled on everything. Overall, uninformed and unprofessional.

My dog HATED the vet. She needed to be muzzled before even being looked at. I thought this was a normal thing for her. They had never been mean or aggressive with her, that was just how she was at the vet. We recently moved to the Colleyville area and were dreading finding a new vet. Well before she was due for her yearly check-up she got very sick. A co-worker recommended Dr. Trussell said she was the best. When I called they told me to bring her in now. She was not getting up and vomited several times over night. I explained to them that she does not like the vet and has been known to bite. After 4 days of being in the hospital she was back to normal. At no time did she ever try to bit or growl. Now when we go out of town she boards at the clinic and she loves it. Dr. Trussell and her staff are WONDERFUL. Can not imagine talking my baby anywhere else.

My family and I have lived in many states across the USA, including New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Arizona and Texas. I am happy to say that Dr. Winter Trussells Heritage Veterinary Hospital stands out among the very best my family and I have encountered. Dr. Trussell is very caring of her furry clients and handles them in a most loving way. She has been able to diagnose illnesses when other Veterinarians in the area have not been able to do so. She calls or text messages her clients to check on them after treatment. She even offered to meet me at her office when the clinic was closed to care for my sick kitty. The staff at Heritage is very warm and caring, yet professional. The office is spotless. I highly recommend Heritage Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for the best care for your precious pet!

If you are looking for a vetinary clinic to care for your four legged babies you should absolutely take them to Heritage Veterinay Hospital. Dr.Trussell and her wonderful staff are truly the best Ive ever encountered. You can feel assured that you pet will have the advantage of the best treatment and loving care exactly when you need it most. I have come here for several years with both dogs and cats and have always felt that neither we nor our pets could be in better hands! I have had less than good experiences in the past taking my pets to other vets, but I feel secure that for both routine care and treatment for an ill pet, there is no place , no other veterinarian, in the metroplex that I would trust as much with my pets! 5 stars to Dr.TRUSSELL and her employees!!!

My cats and dogs have received excellent care at Heritage Veterinary Clinic for nearly ten years. Dr. Trussell can certainly handle well pet checkups and vaccinations, but she truly excels at difficult diagnoses and treatments. It is a real time (and cost) saver that xRays and many tests can be done in-house. My pets and I have been treated with courtesy, dignity and compassion by Dr. Trussell and staff during good times and, more importantly, during the bad ones. I dont mind traveling to the clinic from far west Fort Worth, and I can recommend the clinic to anyone who cares about getting excellent care for their companions.

Omgoodness! Took my dog there for the first time yesterday and I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. No welcome package, you have to practically brain storm to think of questions to ask the vet because she doesnt tell you much about your pet. The only reason I went there was because I had a coupon which didnt help after I got the bill. She is obviously a cat lover cause there are pictures and posters everywhere of cats. The scale they weight my dog on had pet hair on it even before she got on it. I am never go back there. Even in the sticks the vet give better care for animals.

Anytime weve needed to visit the clinic for vaccines, yearly blood-work, boarding, and the occasional emergency, her staff has always been kind, compassionate and most importantly informative. I recently adopted 2 more babys and I have now switched them over to her. 2 of the 4 have had surgery this year and she very thorough. Dr. Trussell and her staff are five stars all the way! Have had numerous vets over the years and she is the best, period. Recently had to have surgery for our Shepherd, scheduling was easy, follow ups were fast and on time. The office staff is friendly and efficient, everything you could want in a top tier office, with great care of your pet. We groom at Heritage vet as well.
