I took my 4 year old red healer here to get spayed July 7th. I thought the place was great at first, it was cheap and everyone was super friendly. There were a lot of people there too, so I thought this place must be pretty good. The day of the procedure my dog acted like they said she would, and she did for the next day. But the Saturday after, I started to notice a little bruising on her stomach. I didnt think much of it, I just thought this was related to the procedure. But last night (Monday night) I got home from work and took a look at her belly and the bruising had gotten terrible. HUGE dark red blotches, one black bruise on the inside of her thigh, and blue bruises on her sides. She was obviously in a lot of pain so I took her to the nearest vet last night after I called them explaining the bruises and they said to bring her in immediately. They were concerned this was internal bleeding. After the expensive vet bill and they blood tests they run, they concluding there was nothing wrong inside of her and I was relived, but I still didnt have an explanation for the bruising. The vet that was seeing my dog had only 3 years of experience and she took my dog to another vet that was there that night who had 10!years of experience to see if she had any other ideas. That vet said that these bruises were from technique. They explained this to me and I was shocked. When a spay surgery is done, they cover the dogs stomach area with towels and leave a hole open where the incision will be, but to hold these towels down they clamp them. Both of the vets told me that in all the years they have done spaying and neutering and surgeries on animals they have never left bruises on them from the clamps. What this means is this place was so rushed on performing surgery on my dog they didnt bother being gentle with her. They were rough. If I have two vets tell me they have never done this, one with 10 years of experience and they other with 3, I will never ever take an animal to this place again. This is what you get when you go to a cheap place. My animals lives are more important to me than saving $50 on a surgery that could lead to severe complications if not done properly. If I could post photos to show the severity of this I would. The bruises are all over her. I will be leaving another review on Yelp with the photos. other vets that work at this place may not be like this, but its obvious the one vet who performed the surgery that day is. I know her face but I never got her name. I will not risk this place again.

I went this weekend the 22nd to an Irving location they had available, i want to say the main nurse was awesome and very nice i did not catch her name unfortunately. The issue i had was with the lady taking care of payments the lady obviously did not know what she was doing when i gave her my cc she told me it declined, after several attempts i ended up giving her my husbands cc, which went through as i was walking to my car i received an alert my cc did in fact go through (keep in mind there was no cell service inside actual building) i then went in and showed her my statement and she still tried to deny my cc went through and even after showing me transactions and my cc showing it did in fact initially go through ghe first time, she said the approval was the customer before me keep in mind it had same exp date and same last 4 digits after reviewing further she then knew she had made a mistake, and finally refunded my husbands cc but i am yet to see the refund and am giving it the normal 1-3 days until i have to call them or dispute this with my bank! I didnt mind the hour plus wait but having to go back and forth with this lady and then getting charged twice because of her mistake beats the cost of waiting that long to get a cheaper price. I also paid 20$ for an exam i did not get done and they have not contacted me if the sample i took made it to there denton office or if i was to provide a new sample i really hope to get contacted on this, my experience was horrible besides the kind blonde nurse! I am hoping to receive my refund back on second charge and them refunding my 20$ if exam is not going to be made!

My experience with TCAP personnel was great. Everyone was very nice and seemed to care about Hank when I dropped him off and picked him up. The rest of our experience wasnt so great. Hanks incision opened up a little bit (just the glued part) the day after his neuter. He never had his cone off so he had no access to it. I called the after hours number. The vet tech I spoke with told me to put an ice pack on it to stop the bleeding and to watch it. I did and the bleeding stopped. While on the phone with her, I asked if we should start him on antibiotics since he now had an open wound. She said no. That night while we slept, Hank got his cone off and licked the incision the rest of the way open. There was lots of blood. I called and spoke with a TCAP vet tech and she said if I couldnt get the bleeding to stop then he needed to be seen at an emergency clinic. Three hours and $480 later, Hank was better. He had to be sedated, have a terrible infection cleaned out, and had to be re-stitched. He is on 3 antibiotics, an anti-inflammatory, and pain pills. He is finally feeling better and healing. I understand that there is a true need for low cost vet clinics. Without you, there would be so many more abused and neglected animals. I thank you for what you do, BUT...gluing the incision on a 70 pound adult dog and not putting him on antibiotics when the incision first came open werent the best choices. I would have much rather have paid for antibiotics than an emergency vet bill.

I have been dealing with a (relatively) small group of feral cats since last summer (2 different litters from one dumped/abandoned momma+her 2 tomcat-friends) when I found out about TCAP and the TNR program which Fort Worth endorses as the most effective and humane way to deal with Community Cats. Out of 11 ferals that Ive observed/cared for, Ive been able to trap and have 8 neutered or spayed, and this was the 7th that I took to TCAP -- and the last female of the bunch. I was forewarned that, although a grant pays for the feral cats to be spayed or neutered for free, that there would be an extra charge if the animal was pregnant -- and I suspected she was. $5 in advance for a 24hour pain injection and $40 when I picked her up for the advanced pregnancy surcharge... still the BEST deal in the Metroplex, and they are VERY well versed in how to handle the feral cats and keep them from being overly stressed or terrified. This little girl weighed less than 5 pounds and surely was too young and tiny to have survived giving birth in the woods behind my house, so I was greatly relieved to know that she was well taken care of. Written and verbal Post op instructions, a 24hour hotline if I observed any problems while she recuperated for 3 days in my garage (she didnt), and a caring, compassionate staff garners 2 thumbs-up and all-4-paws for TCAP!
