My wife has been taking our animals to this vet for nearly 10 years. Chandra Pryor has always been great to us. Today, my wife came across 3 kittens in our neighborhood in the rain. She brought the kittens here to spend the night and even offered to pay for food with the understanding that she would pick them up in the morning and take them to the pound. The receptionist, Kim Dodge, then told my wife she would have to pay for boarding. They are not our pets. We assumed that they would be interested in helping these animals but were wrong. Kim then stated that she took down my wifes license plate number and would be reporting her for animal abandonment. Seriously? I work with the SPCA, we have 2 pets that are rescues and have been a customer of yours for 10 years but we are "animal abandoners" for trying to find a place for 3 kittens to spend the night out of the rain. To say we are disappointed would be a HUGE understatement.

In over 9 years of dealing with Family PetCare our group(DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue) has not experienced anything but caring and professional service for our dogs. When you rescue dogs from abusive homes, animal shelters, or ones that have been on their own for a period of time, a kind word and a gentle hand is more than necessary it is welcomed by both the rescuers and the dog. A part of running a business is sometimes not doing the popular thing...I dont believe that there is not more here than meets the eye but I am speaking only for the quality of work and care that this practice delivers. Without them our group could not begin to save as many dogs as we have done.

Dr. Morton and his staff are amazing and deeply caring towards the clients and their pets whether it be fury, covered in scales or feathers big or small theyll take great care of them all. Family Pet Care has cared for all my dogs and Drake my bearded dragon who i adopted from their clinic Ive recommended them to many others and other rescues. The staff is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Theyve expanded their clinic to include a larger boarding facility, and they have their own dog park to exercise the dogs in their care they also have a wonderful and sweet groomer who loves to care for your pets as well

Pet Care vs Grooming... We LOVE the medical care that they provide and the facility is awesome! We decided to try out their grooming services with our Schnauzer and it was HORRIBLE! Our dog went in looking a little woolly and came out practically naked! Granted he had small patches of mats on his belly but he was shaved down to the skin between his eyes the the top of his head! The groomer even nicked the tip of his tail and his thigh!! Upset with the service we complained and the groomer offered to refund our money. All in all, we will go back for our veterinary needs but not for the botched haircuts...

Dr. Duncan is the best. She plops right down on the floor and allows your dogs to come to her. She helped us through the most painful reason one can visit the vet, the illness and loss of our sweet Taylor Dane earlier this year. Kathy at the front desk is also very sympathetic and patient, as are the vet techs. I have Scotties, so use their groomer, Ginnie, and have always been quite pleased. Others have suggested some of their pricing is a bit high, not sure about that. All in all, we are pleased with their service, most especially with Jessica Duncan.

Dont use their kennels. When we picked up our Border Collie after 6 days of boarding... he was thin and stressed out. They used the t-shirt, we left for our dog to have our smell, for surgery on another animal. They lost his collar, then searched for it and found it but the tags were not on it. Still havent replaced them. Took our dog two weeks to begin eating normal and regaining weight. He was howling, curled up in the corner of his kennel... totally stressed out. Not good. Beware!

They are apparently the type of people that would fire an employee of 15 years because she injured herself and was not available to immediately return to work! No warnings..no write up..no suspension..just fired! *UPDATE* They gave me a lawyer speak response about how they support their employees medical issues and quickly took my review off Facebook! Censorship doesnt change anything. What you did was wrong...and you have yet to step up and take responsibility for your actions!

My Yorkie does not really like people but was in love with the nurse Chelsea. He was such a good boy for her it just really made us feel this was the right Vet for us. The Dr, Christina (I think that is her name) was excellent also. They answered all our new pet parent questions and put us at ease about how to schedual things to fit in our budget and not put our puppy in peril. Thank you so much! from John Oliver, Carrie and Bryan D.

This place really frustrates me. The wait time is often ridiculous, the vet techs are condescending, AND on top of that: all the other stuff vets do that create barriers to preventative care. Its expensive, they are rude, and I would not recommend them. I have been several times because they are down the street from my house but today was the last time.

After Investigating the Kennel Practices at this Vet, I Could Never leave my Pet That I love There. there was no cover overhead dogs were in the rain and there were no water bowls for the animals, its a shame that they get paid money to take care of animals. We ended up taking to ABC Animal Clinic, Night and Day Difference. ABC Gets My Vote.

I wouldnt be taking my dog here anymore. They have awful service and for some reason stress out my dog. He return home with bite and their fee is really expensive. They charge me $50 for a check up fee and couldnt even find out what is wrong with him. Definitely the worst place I have ever been to.

I went to this vet and thought their services were pricey. So I called up other vets to get a price quote for the same services, i.e, and Family Pet Care was always cheaper. No more shopping around for me. Dr. Johnson is a great doc. I highly recommend this place.

I have seen lots of dog fights in their outside pen, walkers unable to hold onto big dogs, and yes several times I have seen and heard them looking outside in the street for a pet they lost. One time one of their dogs was running around in the intersection.

They just up and FIRED Kathy just because she got hurt! No loyalty to their employee of 15 yrs! I definitely wouldnt trust my beloved pet to someone who cant bestow common human decency to a long time employee!

The staff at Family PetCare take amazing care of the animals I have and always meet each challenge to the best of their ability. The compassionate staff and life-saving doctors shouldnt be missed.
