Let me preface this review by saying this is my first ever online review. My excellent experience with Refresh Dermatology and Dr. Suneel Chilukuri has compelled me to do so. To give you some background, for the last 15+ years I have been afflicted with a stubborn skin condition called rosacea. For those of you who do not know, rosacea is a mild to severe facial redness usually located on the cheeks, nose and sometimes neck (think President Bill Clinton and Prince William) that is prone to painful, burning flair-ups. Though there is no cure, it is most often treated with a dermatologist by controlling these flair-ups with topical creams/ointments and oral antibiotics. Thankfully the condition is not life threatening, however it is extremely uncomfortable both physically and mentally-- physically because of the pain and mentally because I always felt self-conscious often catching myself looking away from whomever was speaking to me. Through a recommendation of a friend and some additional online research, I sought another opinion from Dr. Chilukuri. He suggested using an IPL (intense pulse light) specifically the ICON MaxG and MaxY photo facial. This technology he said will greatly minimize the redness and in many cases, make the redness unnoticeable. Though it may not be a panacea, he was quite convinced that this treatment would greatly help my rosacea. I certainly was interested, so I set up a treatment date. I arrived about an hour before our scheduled appointment time so that Dr. Chilukuri could apply topical anesthetic to my face and neck to greatly reduce the pain during the procedure. At the appointment time, the technicians under the direction of Dr. Chilukuri, applied the IPL to my skin for about 15 minutes. I felt minimal and certainly tolerable discomfort. The best analogy I can make for what I felt was similar to popping a rubber band against your skin. Following the procedure I was noticeably red with some swollenness, but I was assured by Dr. Chilukuri’s staff that this was quite normal and expected. I was given several topical creams to apply to my face twice a day with instruction to call the office if I had any concerns. By the next day, though still swollen on my face and neck, the redness from the procedure was greatly lessened. By day three, the swelling was gone and the redness was probably on a scale similar to a bad rosacea flair-up. From that day on, the redness slowly lessened and by the two-week mark, if I stared long enough, I could faintly see some redness on the areas that had been affected by rosacea in the past. As I write this review, just past three weeks since the procedure, I cannot see any redness whatsoever. It is absolutely amazing. My topical ointments and antibiotics that were used to control my rosacea in the past, have now been placed to the back of my medicine cabinet. The only thing I apply to my skin and neck are a nightly moisturizer and a daily sunscreen. I cannot express in words how happy and life changing this treatment has been for me. In the past when I got up in the morning and looked at myself in the mirror, I would ask myself, how bad is my skin going to look today. Now I look at myself with great confidence and can only smile. Dr Chilukuri is unmatched in this profession. Im only 33, but theyre city miles. Im a lifelong athlete, but unfortunately as you age fit, you start looking gaunt and old. I initially came in wanting Exilis skin tightening, because the results Ive seen are amazing, but Dr Chilukuris process is unique. Rather than ask what procedure I wanted to (or he thought I should) do, he sat me down and asked "what do you wish you could change on your face?" I told him I wanted to iron out my smile lines, and he determined the best way to for ME to get that result was with filler and neuromodulators. I trust him implicitly, and my trust paid off. My results (especially given how reticent I was to get any injectables), were SO subtle and natural...I just look smoother. More masculine. Less tired. Ive ALWAYS had smile lines, even as a kid, so he didnt erase them...he just turned back the clock. He is truly an artist. Takes his time to study your face, figure out his gameplan, and he executes it with precision, and a very delicate touch. He injected my chin, and one side of my jaw...I couldnt quite figure out why, but once I looked in the mirror, I got it...Dr. Chilukuri came from the Matrix...he sees things in 5 dimensions. Truly an artist. Other doctors are playing checkers and hes playing 4D chess. I didnt feel any pain because he has an exceptional touch with injections, but he still prepped me for every jab...never any surprises. Dr. Chilukuri is unique. Hes exceptionally talented, hes an artist, hes generous beyond measure, and hes always going above and beyond to make sure his patients get the best possible results. I dont even know how he turns a profit, to be honest. He remembers EVERYBODYS name, everybodys story, he cares about you and your family, and the more time Im around him, Ive come to realize its NOT an act. He genuinely cares. I work in the aesthetic medical space, and Ive worked with hundreds (maybe thousands) of doctors, and I can say unequivocally, Dr Chilukuri is at the top of the field. I fly in from California to see him. Yep.

Ive been a patient of Dr Chilukuris for over 4 years. My biggest concern was that I was starting to look older than my age! When I was younger, this was always desired. Now that Im in my 30s, I needed to turn back the clock and decrease the wrinkles and laxity around my cheeks, eyes and neck Ive been noticing in the mirror. From the first time I met Dr Chilukuri I knew I had come to the right place. Hes an incredible listener, and he made me feel very at ease immediately. I felt as though he saw ME, rather than treating me as though I was just another patient. He recommended a customized procedure called the Liquid Face Lift. Most of my questions about the procedure were related not only to how I would look afterwards and the results, but also the pain involved. However, Dr Chilukuri assured me that he would not only help me look younger, but also that it wouldnt hurt that much. I can tell you that he was true to his word! It was a quick procedure, and afterwards I thought to myself "I cant believe I was concerned about the pain." Ha! Now that Ive had the procedure done, Dr Chilukuri told me the results would be long lasting. I have a much more masculine contour to my face now! Its truly amazing. When I look in the mirror, I know that the person Im looking at is the best version of myself! Im so happy with the results. Now that hes solved the issues I felt I had with my face, I can begin working on other areas of my body. 1 down, 2 more to go!

When I woke up this morning, the first day after my C-Lift was performed by Dr. Chilukuri, for the first time in my life I liked the image of my face without makeup in the mirror. This is huge for me, because I am one of those women who do not leave the house without any makeup and who do not like the way they look without makeup. Even my 6 year old daughter used to tell me: “Mommy put some makeup on because you don’t look so pretty” ! After seeing Dr. Chilukuri yesterday, I immediately noticed that my jawline was beautifully defined, my under-the-eye area was smooth and full and my mid and lower face looked more youthful. This morning, I stared at the mirror and could not take my eyes off the image of my face. I am in my mid forties (God I hate that number) and even though others tell me that I look much younger, I have not felt that way, until today. If you are like me and wonder “what has happened to my face” while comparing the image in the mirror to pictures from your youth, you should seriously consider visiting Dr. Chilukuri. He is the architect of my transformation. He has a gift for putting you at ease and artistic eye for determining the most beneficial procedures to improve your look. He makes the seemingly impossible possible, great improvement with no downtime and minimal discomfort. It is possible that you can love the way you look again.
