Had a bad chip repaired in the front which had been quite painful. I have a very sensitive mouth, dental work is difficult for me. I have an old head injury, any drilling in my mouth is always difficult with the headaches the next day or two. I shared this with the assistant. During the work, the old chip was removed, in doing so they let it fall into my throat. Thank goodness I was able to get it out myself. A little worried, I leaned back to finish. When I left, they sent me home with no pain medication at all. I left without asking, you always feel so uncomfortable to ask the doctors for pain medications these days. As the numbness wore off, the sensitivity to the air, cold/hot, increased. Spent the night up on and off with a bad headache. Took Excedrine at 8am, hoping for some relief. Noticed in the mirror a large cut above the gumline, and a piece of the repair forming a point (sharp edge) near the gumline. Called in and spoke with Martha. Asked for enough pain medication for two days, explained the headache and sensitivity. This was at 9am. No one called me all day long. At 5pm, after quite a day with 3 little ones and full schedule at work, I phoned back in to ask why I hadnt been called back. She said the dentist was busy, that she had given her my message. I cancelled my future appointment. There is absolutely no reason for a patient to be in pain. Everyone is not the same, I am a 38 year old mother of 3, a responsible adult, and can tell when something hurts or doesnt. If I am paying a doctor for a service, I expect them to provide service and follow-up care. At least make a phone call within a reasonable amount of time. Now I have to make an appointment somewhere else and pay them to find out what is wrong with the repair, as obviously the sharp edge is hurting, and the top of the tooth has been "polished" down too far, exposing the upper portion of the tooth much too much. It was never like that before. Too bad the doctor didnt care enough to call and find out what was wrong, and instead assumes every patient in pain has an alternate agenda~ Unless you like to suffer ... Id find somewhere else to go~ Shame on yall... I really thought I found someone I could stick with, I guess that only lasts as long as it takes to cash the check~

I am absolutely terrified of the dentist but I had to see one because my back molar broke off early morning. This dentist office fit me in the same day. The paperwork was light and I was brought back immediately. Upon examining my troubled area the dentist Ms Gladys Cruz and her assistant gave me my options and leftit up to me on what I wanted to do. I decided to get the tooth extracted. The whole process she talked me through it and made it more tolerable for me to handle despite the fact that I have severe anxiety and was seating like crazy. They even turned on a small fan to cool me down. I love Ms Cruz!! I will be back for future work. Great dentist office by far!!

The last dentist I took my son to, hurt him very badly. I have never heard him cry in so much pain and it broke my heart. I found this dentist online and took my son to get a tooth removed and other work done and all he said after was, "The sugar bugs kinda hurt mommy." (because they say they are getting the sugar bugs so the child wont be scared) He did not cry and was not in pain. Needless to say, this is my new dentist, whom I am extremely pleased with!! Thank you for taking care of my baby!!!!

Wow what a great expierience. Everybody was so nice. I came in as an emergency and they took me right away. They asked if I wanted to have Nitrous Oxide to help with the pain. It was great and what a price. I dont have any insurance and they worked with me. When I came to put in a review I was shocked at the first review. They have only been open since 2009 so that is not the same dentist office, I highly recoment Island Dental I will definatley come back.

Ive been here several times for tooth extractions. My teeth are in bad shape, but Dr. Prashant Patel and Dr. "Z" have always made the extractions quick and precise. The other staff members are quite pleasant. Most are consistently friendly and wear a smile. I recommend them, but I give 4 stars only for the price I pay without insurance. Thats life though. Its not always cheap to care for yourself properly.

Best Dentist Ever! Brought my whole family on the heels of a major catastrophe at Castle Dental in League City! The whole family was treated all in one day from x-rays to cleanings to fillings. The dentist was gentle, and worked with me through my claustrophobia. The staff was super sweet and very accommodating! Im not sure what to think about Jason Ds comment since the dentist isnt even a he. Hmmm!

Just had my first appointment there today! They were AMAZING! Dental assistant & dentist could not have been any friendlier and were very knowledgeable! Currently dont heave health insurance and they were great with helping me break down a plan to get my cavitys taken care over time so it was affordable! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :)

I had 3 difficult extractions done and can say aside from shots was entrirely painless...wonderful dentist and caring staff...would.recommend their service to anyone..I have found my dentist for life and she has taken away the awful fear I had of the dentist...we are so blessed to have them here on the islamd

ruined my teeth, I have a long story and no time to post but long story short, they screwed me over with a bridge and i have an infection in my root canal and I am going through lots of pain and discomfort as well as seeking emergency care. The only thing I recommend is staying away from this office.

My experiences at Island Dental have been more than great! The dentist was very gentle and patient with me and her assistants are awesome! The first review was not for this dentist office as this dentist is a woman. Everyone in this office is great! I highly recommend!!!!!!

I was in the dental chair just after my exam and before they would do any procedure asked for my credit card and told me if i wanted anything done i had to pay right then and there, instead of paying after. I will never go back there. They are unprofessional.

When choosing a Dentist on the island, choose Island Dental on Stewart Road. Whether you have insurance or not Island Dental has the best pricing around. More importantly their friendlyknowledgable staff continues to provide excellent service to our family.

I would not take mt dog there. They our rude and all they want is your money . My dentist gladys quit working there and all the people our different I ve never see them before I ve been a patient there for 2 years and a new group took over really bad

Poor procedures! Had to keep going back for fittings every week about 1 year and they still do not fit! Beside that my mouth has been sore for 10 months! DON"T GO!!! Im getting an attorney!
