Dr. Carter is the kind of vet who does not want to waste your money. I have a 17-year-old cat who has just stabilized after being in critical condition from kidney failure. When I first came to him, Dr. Carter prepared me for the worst, but he tried everything in his power to help save my cat. If I had received the same treatment at another facility, I would have ended up spending thousands of dollars more than I did. Dont be afraid to do your own research and ask him questions about it. He was very amenable to telling me the pros and cons of all the possibilities I asked about. A couple of months later, my cat did pass away, but we got considerably more time than we could have expected given his age and ailments. I know that we got the best treatment we could have gotten anywhere. Although Lucky died at home, Dr. Carter took the time to call me, offer his condolences and talk to me about coping strategies. Everyone at the clinic seemed extremely compassionate every time I came. This is a place where people truly care about the lives they touch.

My family has used Dr. Carter for well over 20 years. He takes a huge amount of time with each pet--you never feel like hes rushing through the day. His extensive knowledge has helped both of my dogs coat and itchy problems. He counsels you on decisions with your pets wellness in mind, and his prices are beyond fair. Any time my personal pets need any "real" work done, we drive them from Houston to Dallas to see Dr. Carter, as we trust his loving care and he charges hundreds (no exaggeration) less than the vets weve got here in Houston.

Dr. Carter and his staff are the best. I had two older dogs that needed to be cared for over the last few years and they were there for us right to the end of their lives. I mentioned prices because before Springhill I had a different vet that I think was trying to make me go broke. Dr. Carter always seems to make sensible decisions and is sensitive to the financial impact that caring for a pet can have on an owners life. I highly recommend these folks.

Dr. Carter was the first vet to see our lab, when we adopted her. She was ill and he fixed her right up. The only time we didnt use Springhill is when we were going out of town, needed boarding, and Springhill was full. Recently our dog is in need of end-of-life treatment, Dr. Carter has been able to guide us with the utmost professionalism and sincerity. This is the place to bring your pets for care.....even cats.

Dr. Carter is one of the kindest vetnarian you could ever meet. He and his staff really took care of us for the short time they treated Jimmy before he died. We learned information about our cat that after 12 years of treatment with another vet we never knew. Advised us well on our options and helped us with making difficult decisions. You could not go wrong in trusting them with your family member.

Weve taken our dog and cat here for years. The dog has ended up with a metal leg and some nerve damage after a run-in with a car, but these guys fixed her right up. Shes 12 years old with a metal bone graft and she still jumps out of the boat and climbs the ladder! These guys are great!

Dr. Carter has been my dogs vet since they were puppies. He is so informative and knowledgeable. His staff is wonderful. Fees are reasonable and they are competitive with online pricing for flea and tick prevention and heartworm meds. Cant imagine taking my babies anywhere else!
