This place was terrible! Rude and overpriced. Its filled with some of the rudest employees. I went once to buy glasses. It ended up being 4 times the amount any other eye care. I got a pair of versace glasses for about four hundred with lenses. The lenses are standed and had no extras. Well, a temple, part of the glasses, broke and I came back. They stated that i was a week over the warranty and couldnt help. If I wanted to buy another frame Im more than welcome to. I checked online and the frames were $120 new at most places in Houston. Fine. I got ripped off. Since they had my insurance on file, yes the glasses price was after insurance, I wanted contacts. I figured I could got some every year like I have at other places. I called and asked if I could come in and get an exam. well, after an exhuasting conversation, I had to call back also because she was busy, the contact would come to over three hundred dollars after insurance, again over four times what others are charging. Please be warned and warn others not to go into this store.

Just want to start off and say Dr. Tran is awesome. However, the reason for this poor review is because of the bad attitude from the receptionist lady that works there. She is very rude and does NOT take the time to fully understand the customers needs. She always acts like she is in a hurry and ready to rush people off of the phone! Perhaps, its a language barrier where she doesnt understand English very well...I have experienced this lousy attitude at other places but Dr. Tran always takes good care of her customers. I wish the receptionist would take a customer service training so she can represent Spectrum Eye Care in a more professional manner. I still recommend Spectrum Eyecare because Dr. Tran is awesome, however, get ready for some horrible service and bad attitudes from the lady who sits at the front desk... she doesnt care about the customers and runs her own show! They really need to get rid of her!!!

I believe customer service is everything. From reading most of the reviews, it is very true about the receptionist. This seems like its an everyday thing that occurs for the receptionist, not just one day nor a bad day. I always have the same problem every time I come in there, I tend to ignore her and just talk to the doctor. :) I dont get it... why would you work at a place knowing your job is dealt with people...

The doctor is fine but those receptionists need to change their attitudes a lot . Rolling your eyes whenever I tell my daughter to try on the glasses & talking to my daughter rudely is not okay. They are there to work , if they dont like it , then they need to put on a fake smile and get their crap together .

Employees were really nice and helped me out with all of my insurance information, contact and glasses prescription, and they even helped me order the contacts. They worked with me to get a discount on my contacts since my insurance only allowed for either contacts or glasses, not both, per year.

I agree with the comment below about them being rude! If Im going to spend a total of $500 for my visit at least be a little respectful. I had dr. Thuy tran, and she did not tell me anything I needed to know. I made a mistake going here! They are only convenient because they open on Sundays.

Nice employees, no hidden fees, covered by my insurance, and good prescriptions -- Ive been going there for years. My only gripe is that the frames can be on the higher end of cost, but they are good quality.
