We first went to Dr. Foster at Millcreek Veterinary for our cats starting in 2001. He was always kind and knowledgeable with every issue our pets had. When one of our cats was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2004, Dr. Foster helped us keep him alive and happy for as long as possible, which turned out to be 11 months longer than the original estimate. After moving out of state for several years, we recently reconnected with Millcreek due to our cat having a severely infected toe. Dr. Foster gave us a tremendous amount of information based on likelihood of success with various treatment options so that we could make a fully informed decision. Although sometimes you might wait a bit in the waiting room, its because his office always finds a way to get sick animals in as quickly as possible and give pets and their families all the time necessary to help them make the best possible decision for their situation. Because he has been in practice for so long, he has knowledge about even unusual conditions, which is incredibly helpful. He also tries to help clients make decisions that take into consideration their financial situation as well as relative risks and benefits of treatments. Our cats toe is currently on the mend and Dr. Foster is helping us heal some other claw issues our cat is dealing with. Its obvious that he and his staff care deeply about the animals they see, and they are gentle and kind to both pets and their families. We are so grateful to have found this clinic.

This is a local veterinarian, it is a very small building. There are only about 2-3 rooms for Dr. Foster to meet the pets and owners. The other rooms are a place to keep pets over night, and the basement where they do surgeries. If they are having a busy day, you may have to wait a little while because there is only Dr. Foster and 2-3 rooms. However, once you meet with Dr. Foster, its one to one. Never once has Dr. Foster been distracted when I talk to him, when he walks into the room, you and your pet are his only focus. Thats what I like about this place best of all. You may have to wait for a little bit but once you see Dr. Foster you are the priority. Also the staff is very nice. They may seem busy at times, but they are always open for talking about current events or how cute your pet is.

Millcreek Vet has been our clinic since 1980. Dr. Foster and his very caring staff over the past years have provided outstanding medical care for our six dogs. Dr. Foster always explains in depth several options that are available to take and has guided us wisely. We just made a move to Hawaii with our two dogs and Millcreek Vet was a huge part of this process. Zuke and Jordan are island pups now and loving life. There were many hoops to jump through and it all went smoothly because of their knowledge and professionalism. We will be hard pressed to find the level of care on Maui that we did in Salt Lake, yet we are hopeful. Many, many thanks to all of you at Millcreek Vet for your care! Our best, Joanie, Richard, Zuke and Jordan Madsen

Dr Foster is the best! Maybe not the most friendly but definitely the most knowledgeable and caring about your pet. He also sometimes tries to take a holistic approach instead of using medicine. Sometimes this is cheaper and works, so I like that! I have a problem child dog that seems to have something catastrophic every year, they always do a good job with her and seems to be fair on pricing. Seem to be really fair on the cost of shots. The only thing is they have one lady who isnt very smart or helpful but on the other hand they have another lady that really is knowledgeable and goes out of her way to help you.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Foster for over 10 years with very positive experiences. I have not waited longer that I wait at my doctors office. I have found the ladies at the front desk to be very competent and friendly. When we come in the door, they greet the dog and then me by name. I am appreciative of offers of alternative medicine as I have found that animals tend to respond quickly to herbal remedies. Dr. Foster is a caring, knowledgeable doctor who cares for my dogs as if they were his own. Thank you Dr. Foster and staff.

My husband and I took our dog to Millcreek because we heard from our neighbor that they had affordable prices. Unfortunately, they have low prices for a reason. Every time I went in for an appointment, I had to wait AT LEAST an hour to see the Vet. Every time I went up to the front desk asking when I could get in to see the Vet, they just looked at me with a blank stare. The women sitting at the front desk have no customer service skills. I would not recommend this Veterinary Clinic to anyone who truly cares about their pets.

I came across this clinic a little over a year ago when one of my dogs had an ACL rupture. Dr. Foster and his staff were EXTREMELY helpful. They took a real interest in the well-being of my dogs, examining them completely every visit. The ACL surgery was spectacular and healed quickly. After that, when my other dog became paralyzed, Dr. Foster and his staff were the only clinic to suggest an alternative to invasive surgery - and it worked. I owe this clinic, and the people it employs, a lot.

Ive been taking my dogs to Dr. Foster for more than 35 years and have been very satisfied. Hes very knowledgeable and compassionate with the animals and their owners. His staff has also been outstanding!! I highly recommend Dr. Foster and his staff to anyone!! I noticed some have complained about his staff, he has replaced the person who had personality problems. If they are slow its because they are busy but they really try to help everyone!

I asked if they sell splints for a dog, and because I didnt feel that my dog needed to see a vet, Im just being overly cautious, the vet hung up on me. Prior to being hung up on, I explained that my dog is still walking on the leg, moving it, and no deformation or wounds. I just wanted to give him extra support. I was in no way rude, but he sure was.

Very extremely rude! Made comments like, he doesnt do the cheapest jobs around, and so maybe I should call the Humane Society. 1- I never said I want the cheapest job around, I want my cats to be well taken care of! 2- How do you talk to a potential customer that way? I will never call this place again, and I will never recommend them to someone else!

My best friend is my frida pit mix with lab. I recently called in for information requiring my dog. When I was hung up on very rudely. Definitely not recommend this to any of my friends with pets. I guess is true if someone wants cheap prises never do that for your pet you care about.

Enough with the negative comments. I have been taking my dogs to Dr Foster for 40 years. He is skilled, fair, decent and interesting. A local treasure and best in the Valley. To imply or state otherwise is ridiculous. It will be a sad day when he retires.
