Trying to find another vet near me in Culpeper. I moved to area early February 2016 and was told by a neighbor to take my cat there. Last month he had a horrific reaction to the 3 year rabbies vaccine and then another to the 3 in one vaccine that cats gets once a year. When we were there and he had to go immediately back to the office because he was violently throwing up and pooping himself silly they dismissed it and said there was nothing wrong and tossed it up to him being stressed. While waiting in the front office he started throwing up white and yellow bowel and howling like a mountain lion and the vet came out and said there was nothing wrong with him. I had to insist that they give him something for the vomiting and fluids under the skin to help get rid of any reaction he was having. Then when we went back for the other vaccine the vet again said he was just stressed due to fact that he was born outside when he was a kitten and very high strung and she did not want to pre-treat him but I had to insist again. Not very compassionate about your pet, seems they are more interested in money and less about the care of your beloved pet.

If you love your pet, you might want to reconsider taking your pet here. This was a horrible experience. The vet was extremely unporfessional and had mentioned twice that she didnt have time to look at my dogs medical file because she had "medical emergencies" that were more important. Even if she didnt want to look at the file, she could have looked directly at his tag that stated he was good on a rabies shot, but she insisted he had to have one despite his papers and his tags, which she said it wouldnt harm him to have another. It made me wonder if there were other unneccessary things she gave him because it wouldnt hurt him. I regret the shelter listing this place as a vet since there are more reputable places around. I am so happy that I was able to find a great place where they actually act like they care about your dog when you are there. Its a nice place located off of 29. I would name the business but not sure if that is appropriate when reviewing another establishment.

I have nothing but good experiences to date with Dr. Vargas and her colleagues. They are very caring and will spend as much time as needed to answer all of your many questions. We have four dogs three of which are rescues. Rescues come with a multitude of ailments and issues so there are always many questions. I have witnessed nothing but compassionate with this clinic. I also had an emergency with a Guiena Pig pet of ours that we dearly love...most vets are not sure what to do with Piggies. When they get sick they rarely survive. The antibotic treatment and aother medication precribed worked! Dr. Vargas saved her life, she is doing great and still with us. I would highly recommend this clinic. I am impressed and very happy with the vets themselves and I am not easy to please when it comes to my four legged children.

I had a great experience here! When I came home, I found my pug outside in the snow, vomiting blood, extremely lethargic. I rushed her to the closest animal "place" I could think of. I walked in with her, they took her straight back and saved her life! Placed her on fluids, meds, brought her temp back up. I truly though I was going to loose her. They kept her for the day, called for a check up the following day, and were extremely thoughtful when it came to my out of pocket cost. I am extremely grateful, will and have returned!

Loved my recent experience. Dr. Vargas was so compassionate with my two small dogs. I recently took them in for their annual physicals and shots and I couldnt be happier. In addition to running a great clinic she is very involved with spaying and neutering of dogs in Guatemala. Its nice to know that she is so committing to animals. I would definitely come back.

This experience ruined the rest of my day. Never had I met Dr.Cunningham, but she tortured my pet upon my first meeting her. Also had a bad attitude, and did not listen to ANY of my concerns OR ADDRESS THEM! If you love your animals dont come here.
