Everytime my baby twin girls get sick or we go to the up to date shot appointments, I feel like the doctors dont really care about them. Today I called to schedule an appointment for one of my twins who was sick with a fever, a runny nose, and cough. Whoever I spoke with told me the appointment will be at 10:55 A.M. So I arrive at the clinic a little late though which I admit is my fault but its hard enough taking twins out on my own, and arrive at the front desk of the pediatrics. The lady at first was nice but when she couldnt find my daughters appointment and realized that she was scheduled at 10:15 A.M. she then continued to tell me I am an hour late even though I have told her I was told on the phone that her appointment was 10:55 A.M. and that there was a miscommunication. She kept telling me that next time to come early still and that if you come late that you will miss the doctor appointment and sit in the waiting room all day sometimes until a doctor is available. I look around and there is no other patients around and I was assuming they werent busy. So in conclusion she was blaming me for their mistake of telling me the wrong time or screwing up my daughters appointment time. My daughter was obviously sick. I was going to leave to the ER at Portsmouth but she immediately got me in for a doctor. Then once we proceeded, the doctor that we saw was usually the doctor we see whenever our pcm wasnt available and he always seems like he doesnt care or talks condescending to me. He checked her up and told me shes fine and that itll last for a few more days. And that was it. If I hadnt asked more on what I should do to ease her discomfort he wouldnt have said anything. Ive seen another doctor over the weekend for my other daughter and she actually went in detail of what was going on with her and what should be done. Trying to see if there is better care besides here.

I had a horrible doctor when we first moved to Virginia nearly 3 years ago then switched to a great doctor. Now he has left and Im back to the horrible doctor and I cant get anything done. No information about my blood work, referral was done WRONG, and I cant say enough how the front desk people are not doing their job. Last time I came in for my appointment and had to wait WELL PASS my appointment time in line because there was two people at the desk helping ONE PERSON! Then to doctor acted all high and mighty saying that I was late. I told her why and she still blamed me. And what is the point of filling out the paperwork beforehand when nobody reads what is on it? I had to say that I had other things to talk about and she acted like I was lying to her. And now I am on the phone trying to get my referral taken care of CORRECTLY and it has been nearly 10 minutes! I get that youre busy and all but COME ON! I cannot wait to move and get away from this Primary Care Provider and clinic! They need A LOT of work to get to where people will leave good reviews.

Went to the doctor at Boone because I had a very swollen throat and white puss patches at the back of my throat. I was Running low grade fever and bad head ache. I was in a lot of pain. I was pretty much told that my strep test was negative and I just have a sore throat. I was prescribed allergy meds and sent on my way. Overnight the pain got much worse and the white sores spread. Went to the sentera er and wouldnt you know it, strep test was positive there. I was given pain meds, antibiotics and treated as if my pain mattered. Not only did Boone clinic misdiagnose me, I was treated as if I wasnt important and my complaint didnt matter. The nursing staff is all around rude and very cocky.

I love my OB but pediatrics is a joke. When they called to remind me of my sons 2 week appointment they said the wrong time. So I showed up 2 hours at the time they told me, then they made me wait 2 hours before they rescheduled. Then my sons 2 months appointment they called and made me reschedule twice. They always call at the minute, normally as Im walking out the door for the appointment. Now my son is going to be almost 3 months old before he goes for his 2 month check up.

The customer service youll get varies based on whos on duty for nearly every department. Immunizations and Lab are always the most polite and professional. The civilians are also always courteous as well. The quality of the pediatrician is mixed. Ive had my kid seen by great pediatricians, and one really unknowledgeable doctor. Overall, Id recommend Boone over NMCP, Fort Eustis, and Sewells Point.

Went for a new patient appointment and to get the results of a test for a lump in my neck and my new primary care provider didnt even check me. I felt very rushed and she cut me off and seemed irritated. No confidence in that kind of care and for the first time in 35 years as a dependent I felt like a number not a patient!

My doctors are amazing, but the pediatrician is a joke to me. Waited 2 hours to get my shot record faxed soon as they came in minutes after closing they wouldnt do it. Even heard the one lady say why is she still here in the office!!!! O had a few choice of words I wanted to say! Rude rude stay away

If you wait less than an hour for your appointment, its a miracle. then if you get a doctor that doesnt just print you out a ton of information from online rather than talk to you about your conditions, I would be shocked. definitely switching to tricare standard and being seen off base.

It was awful eachand every time I went. The staff is rude and will just sit typing while you stand there they dont even bother to address you. Also the drs that I have seen dont do thorough examinations its ridiculous. Will be trying to go else where next time.

Not a bad clinic, but the staff are constantly abrasive. The majority of the time they constantly interrupt you, or chastise you for not knowing their rules.
