There are a lot of positive qualities to this office. It is a lovely building with a colorful and open waiting area, but we have never had to wait longer than two minutes for our appointment. The scheduling is easy and the availability of walk-in hours is nice. The staff are all friendly people and we havent had any negative interactions thus far. The reason that I am giving it four stars is that my wife and I often feel subtly judged and still receive comments about our parenting attitudes that we do not request nor require. I think we have been spoken to on at least three occasions about the dangers of co-sleeping, most recently at our ten month visit. There was a sense of subtle condescension that made me question my actions when otherwise I had no doubt. When we had to stop breast-feeding on account of a medication my wife needed we started making our own formula using goat milk - originally they were very opposed, but our next visit the doctor had researched the homemade formula and was on board. I did respect that. Also, we believe in vaccines, but feel that children are over-vaccinated and vaccinated too early. We are doing a slower approach, which they allow us to do, but sometimes the language they use makes us feel guilty or unsure of our decision. I just wish that we felt more encouraged and accepted there, but maybe this is a common feeling of new parents at a pediatrician.

my wife and I take all 4 kids here. This office was suggested to us by a friend a couple of years ago when my wife and her kids moved her when we were married. I am really only writing this because I looked up the phone number on google to make a n appt for my son and read a couple of neg reports. I am very shocked to read the comments on the two unhappy reviews. I was not there and can not speak for them but I have never had a bad experience in this office, never even close to something I would be concerned about, in fact I have always been impressed and happy with this location and our kids are very comfortable here. I know anyone car write anything they want with no verification but please do not read the 2 bad reviews with out reading all the good ones. I would have to suspect the 2 bad reviews are related and that person in some way is not right in the head... just a guess. In face as I am writing this I made an appointment for my son who is sick and we are going in 2 hours. Thanks. Baurice

When our oldest son was born in 2001, we interviewed doctors as the birthing class instructed us to do. However, neither of us had a clue what to ask a prospective pediatrician. We met Dr. Lindgren when he was working at a previous practice. When we sat down to talk, we said we were interviewing him, but really didnt know what to ask. He took the initiative and guided the conversation asking about my wife, the pregnancy, any issues or questions we had. We immediately like him, and decided to choose him as our pediatrician. Since then, we moved around several times, and our now 3 kids have had several different pediatricians. When we moved back to Olympia in 2012, we sought out Dr. Lindgren, found Healthy Future Pediatrics, and brought our kids there. Dr. Lindgren is without question the BEST pediatrician any of our kids has had. The nurses and nurse practitioners are caring, compassionate, and very involved. They willingly answer questions, including those that our now 14 year old son asks.

After a lot of research of local pediatricians, I decided that Healthy Futures worked the best for me. What I liked most was that I felt this office wasnt about making money, it was about the well being of my child. I have been so pleased with my choice and honestly believe that there could be no better pediatric care for my son. I feel like Dr . Lindgren has a well intentioned interest in my son and he honestly wants to see him thrive. He was given me so many great suggestions that focuses on positive care, rather than punishing care. His suggestions has helped me grow as a parent and has helped my son not only be more well behaved, but also he helped get him to actually eat! The whole staff is great and I feel like we are part of their family. I went a different route with the vaccination schedule, and they were patient and understanding and not once made me feel bad for my decision. I love this office and it is the exact pediatric care I envisioned for my son.

I have only been here two times, but both times I was impressed and left happy. My daughters previous doctor was nice....but overall the whole office was terrible. This place makes me feel like my daughter is being taken care of. We went in once for a check up and kindergarten shots and once more for a possible concussion. The check up was like no other checkup she has ever had! All of the questions were directed at her. They asked questions to gauge what her day to day life is like (is she eating veggies, exercising, is she happy, etc...). It was in a non-intimidating way, so she seemed to feel at ease. The concussion visit was equally as great. My daughter thought she was playing games instead of being tested! They have taken my concerns very seriously and I GREATLY appreciate that. We saw Tara Tumulty and Katie Sheahan. Both were amazing and I look forward to meeting the others!

My husband and I have taken our children to Dr. Lindgren for over 20 years and could not be more pleased. He has a wonderful bedside manner and treats both of our children with respect and concern, and our boys have never had a problem going to the doctor. As a parent of a child with extensive medical issues and a Registered Nurse, I am impressed with Dr. Lindgrens knowledge and ability to put both parents and child at ease in difficult circumstances. The staff at HFP are all warm, professional and caring. I always feel welcome and have always been able to get in for an appointment and/or receive a call back in a timely manner. I have recommended HFP to many families in town and will continue to do so and am very happy with this practice. Thank you, Dr. Lindgren and staff!!

I would NOT take my child to this Doctors office!! The office staff are rude and unprofessional. I was so polite to them and barely received a greeting when arriving. Dr. Lindgren has a horrible bedside manner, and seemed to be trying to "show off" for me more than care for my child, and as a result, I left feeling very offended and upset I had brought my child there. They have a beautiful office and a great website, but there are way better pediatricians elsewhere in town, I promise you. Also, they will charge you $5 or more just for your medical records when you leave and even confront you asking for a reason why you want to leave the practice. I hope more people speak out regarding his practice, for the good of our kiddos.

The doctors were great, but the staff was horrible. When I say staff I am referring to the office manager and receptionist. The wait is so long to get appts., we had been waiting for 2 months for our appts. when I get letter in the mail saying they were ending my childrens care just a few days before their scheduled appts. When speaking with the office manager or the person in charge of scheduling appts., she made me feel inadequate and insulted me because she did not care about my children or the position she put them in. We missed some appts yes...but since we had to be kicked off the patient list why couldnt the scheduled appt be thé last appt...she did not have to be so nasty. All my children needed was medical care.
