I used this office to remove a birth mark that had some growths on it from my daughters arm. I will start with the good. They were able to schedule the procedure fairly quickly and the doctor was friendly and did good work ( straight line and tight stitches). Unfortunately the bad outweighed the good. They did two consultation appointments before scheduling the procedure because the first Doctor said she wanted a second opinion and scheduled me to see the other doctor who just confirmed the first ideas. So I made two trips and paid two bills just for that. I let that go and we made the appointment for 10:30 a.m. on a Friday. It was like a production line. They scheduled everybody at the same time and just brought them in one at a time did the procedure and might as well just yelled out NEXT!!! it was 1 p.m. before we were seated in the room for the procedure. After it was done we were rushed out and there was not a nurse at the front desk so I left and called Monday asking if they would send a not to my daughters High school excusing her from gym. HERE IS MY FAVORITE PART. They said that they would not send the note until I was paid in full and I needed to make another $53 payment first. I did, and they still forgot to fax the note. I had to call back and remind them. Everything is just business these days and this group is no exception. I remember doctors actually caring about patients. To not give an excuse to a school for a 14 year old until you get paid is just sleazy...

I was so surprised by the low star rating that I felt compelled to write a review myself. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Upstate Dermatology. I had two concerns, skin cancer screenings and acne, and they were able to support both concerns with the same appointment time even though they have dedicated staff for both the dermatology and acne sections of the building. My doctor was sweet and knowledgeable, and agreed to doing extra work to soothe my concerns even though she believed that I was not likely to have any issues. The acne staff were also excellent, timely and friendly, with the receptionist recognizing me after just a few visits. On top of the wonderful service and atmosphere, they also did wonders with my acne. Honestly better than I could have hoped for. Please do not be dissuaded by out-of-date or unfounded negative reviews.

Avoid at all costs. They dont care and are completely dismissive...short of laughing at you. When you come as a patient for issues that have completely debilitated your life and continue to do so, and they dismiss it by saying they dont see evidence in that exact moment or they think maybe you dont have a good base of "normal" (this pissed me off even more because I know as a patient what I have endured)... I felt like saying to this FNP (whose family Ive known but he didnt know that), "Yeah, if a mother is out one day on an errand without her kids, are you going to tell her, too bad, I dont see them so they dont exist?" Incredibly disappointed in the lack of advocacy and basic level of care. And here I was hoping.

I scheduled an appointment to remove a cyst that was diagnosed at this office a couple years ago. I explained that I didnt have insurance and would like to schedule a surgical appointment as the cyst was already recorded and I was told I could have it removed at any point in the future if it irritated me. At my appointment I was told I needed to schedule another appointment to have it removed, but I had to pay $120 for coming in that day, even though I had the cyst in my records. They then wanted to charge more than three times the price of other doctors in the area, so I went somewhere else. They were not helpful or understanding even though I explained my situation ahead of time in order to prevent a useless visit.

I drove 126 miles to this office. I was told to contact a "Kaitlyn" I saw when I was there if there was any problem filling my prescription. Needless to say Ive spent all day calling between 2 offices who keep saying a nurse and also Kaitlyn would call me back to no avail. The prescription I have is supposed to stay in your system from start to finish and now Im back at square one. Thank you upstate dermatology for not being able to return a phone call. 126 miles was not worth it.

Find another. . After a call to get records, another call to ask where they are and being told they where in the mail, I had to drive to office to get the records. They had never been sent. The records showed the first biop was correct, and the second was done for $ or they read the first wrong and told me otherwise. After sending blood work , after two weeks they still have not refilled the script . Many calls. Incompetent. Once the office person said "we are overwhelmed" yeah,

I researched for hours to find out about a problem I was having. I then told them what it was and asked to have it removed. They said sure come in. I came in and they told me that I needed to schedule another appointment and charged me $120 to tell me that my research was correct. They then wanted $350 for the removal and $125 lab fee. I could go and get the whole thing taken care of for $130 at a general surgeon and then pay the lab fee.

Excellent staff, caring staff, wonderful doctor. From more serious skin concerns (biopsies) to acne treatment, to a truly AMAZING medical-grade asthtetics unit, this office is, in my opinion, the best in the area. Thank you Dr. Gregory, his wonderful PAs, and Abby and Amy in asthetics for your capable and thoughtful treatment for me and my family members. Patients for life!

They care about their time and do not care about your time. Completely self-centered practice, meaning that the providers perspective is the most important, not the patients. Take a little time and find a better practice.
