You will not find a more knowledgeable, dedicated, compassionate and caring veterinarian than Dr. Elizabeth Hansen. I have been a client at Spring Grove Animal Hospital since 2007 and to date, have been thoroughly impressed with how the business is run as well as the care of my beloved pets. Medical decisions are made in collaboration with me and treatment options are explained and discussed in detail. She goes above and beyond any other veterinarian I have dealt with in the past. While I am just one of many, many clients I am always given her undivided time and attention during office visits or phone consultations. Dr. Hansen treats and cares for animals as if they were her own and I trust her implicitly. What more could you ask for when choosing a doctor for your "fur baby."

NEVER go to Spring Grove Animal Hospital. I took my puppy there to get neutered ($350). I called just before noon to see how his surgery went and the woman on the phone told me that the doctor and all the staff leave the office between noon and 3pm every day so my puppy would be alone in the office for 3 hours post-surgery! When I asked if he was recovering well in his kennel, the woman told me, "no, we dont put them in kennels after surgery. Hes on ground with his leash tied to the outside of the kennel." To top it off, when I went to pick up my puppy that night, I ran into my neighbor in the lobby. I bent down to pet her dog and Dr.Hansen yelled at me and told me she doesnt allow people to pet other peoples pets in her office!

We have been going to Dr Hansen for about 3 years, after a bad experience with another vet. It was the best choice we ever made. She literally changed our Malteses life. Her knowledge and insight is unbelievable. The time and concern she genuinely shows is exceptional. I read the negative comment and I dont believe it ever happened, that is just not the way Dr Hansen would conduct business. We literally treat our dog like a family member, and would not think of ever leaving Dr Hansen. We could not recommend a Veterinarian HIGHER !!! Tom and Gail Gerace
