AWFUL! I WOULD NOT TAKE MY PET HERE! First ask why: Dr. Rodgers had a practice in Hamburg, NY, Then moved to Westfield about 5yrs ago. Why would a man in his 50s move to Westfield & give up his practice that was established in Hamburg, NY for more than a decade? I took my pet 3 times in 10 days, costing about $900. Fees, for special food, heartworm meds, worm tests, x-rays, etc. Dr. Rogers couldnt find what was wrong w/ my pet. So, I finally took my pet to another vet, Dr. Whittington & he knew what was wrong right away. In disbelief, I tried a 3rd vet just to see who was correct. The 3rd vet, Dr. Inkley came up with the same diagnosis (agreed w/ the 2nd vet) and I never said a word until after his prognosis. Yet, Dr. Rodgers never thought my pet had this problem & in fact was mad that I took him somewhere else. He got extremely inappropriate by yelling & swearing at me! I had to put my pet down b/c his infection got so bad, since it wasnt found soon enough while under Dr. Rogers care. The other two vets said that it was easy to detect, Dr. Whittington knew within 5 mins. & charged me approx $75 (unlike $900 at Dr. Rogers office!) While Dr. Inkley didnt charge me at all after I explained why I came to him for the first time ever. Explaining, it was to get a 3rd opinion because I was seriously concerned for my pet and didnt know what to do, or who to believe! Plus, he saw the x-rays I had were useless! Dr. Inkley was very understanding & said to call with any concerns for my other pet at anytime, day or night. Specifically, he told me not to wait so long ever again for a 2nd opinion - lesson learned at my pets expense when he died prematurely! Everyone has free will, do as you please of course - I just hate anyone to go through the pain of losing a family member when it can be avoided. Dont get caught in the convenience factor because hes just down the street. Thats what I did, and I regret it! This happened to our family a little over a year ago. Since then Ive kept my ears open to comments made in town... I have heard multiple horror stories from local pet owners. I love the staff, they were all polite and sympathetic to what had occurred! Whenever I see anyone of them around town the make a point to say hello & smile! An extremely conscientiousness staff! Good-Luck & enjoy your happy, healthy, pet loving relationship! xoxo

I dont usually write reviews, but I felt I had to comment when I read the questionable review by "Pet Lover" who seems to have it out for Dr. Rogers. We have been clients of Dr. Rogers for about 13 years. This means, not only do we use his services now that he is in Westfield, we also used him while he was in Hamburg. I am very selective about who I feel comfortable letting care for my animals, and when you find someone you trust completely to care for your pets you stick with them. The fact that Dr. Rogers started up a new practice shouldnt create suspicion at all, and I hope that readers wont let whatever grudge "Pet Lover" is holding deter them. Read all of the other, accurate, reviews. I am much more suspicious of "Pet Lovers" motives than I would ever be about a talented and successful doctor starting up a new business. Dr. Rogers is thorough and caring. He has provided excellent care for my numerous pets over the years as well as the pets of my family and friends - both in Hamburg and Westfield. All of whom have nothing but great things to say about him and his staff. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I am thankful for the care both they and Dr. Rogers have given my sweet critters over the years. I recommend Dr. Rogers 100%.

I can not say enough good about Dr Rogers. Approximately one year ago I adopted a shelter dog. At that time I was looking for a new vet. My friend mentioned Dr Rogers and how much her entire family loved him. Im so glad that I chose Dr Rogers to be my new dogs vet. My little friend recently became very ill. Dr Rogers boarded him for almost an entire week running tests, IVs because of dehydration and pain therapy. He never gave me false hope, but gave me support, and numerous phone calls. My little Murphy is now on his way to recovery, thanks to the most amazing veterinarian and staff I have ever met.

In 30 years I have never had a better vet. Dr. Rogers has been fantastic. Everyone in my family now takes their pets to see Dr. Rogers at Village Veterinary Clinic. He is so gentle and kind with the animals and explains everything very well so we understand. We also think his fees are reasonable and never padded. He came out on Mothers day for an emergency for my Corgi and really was the best!

Love this place! Great care and a great price. They saved my sisters beloved dog from cancer and now she drives all the way from Buffalo because its the only vet she trusts. Village Vet also neutuered our pet rabbit and are very gentle and loving with him.
