To start, it is extremely difficult to make appointments with a requirement that you drive down to the office to drop off paperwork before you can even make an appointment. Even with an emergency such as bleeding during pregnancy, office staff refused to make an appointment saying they would "get in trouble" if I didnt fill out new paperwork even though I had been seen in the office a few months prior. The wait times were frequently over 90 minutes with no courtesy of even telling us there would be a delay. Billing staff sent incorrect claims to insurance and after repeated attempts to get them corrected they wont even return phonecalls and are charging us nearly $1000 for only 2 visits (entire pregnancy was supposed to be $2000). When we complained about the wait and billing errors at the last visit Dr.Plimpton called us complainers and implied we were calling his wife, who does billing, a liar. Not even a single apology for the billing errors, or for his offices failure to see me during an emergency, or his rude confrontation with us before he took the time to find out the facts about how his staff screwed up repeatedly. I love the midwife at the office but having such a rude doctor and incompetent staff makes it not worth it to go to this office.

I chose Dr. Plimpton to be my OBGYN with my first daughter. My husband and I didnt think the care was particularly bad, but we didnt know with it being our first child. I had multiple kidney infections, which he never saw me for. The nurse called in prescriptions for me each time. Toward the end of my pregnancy (38 1/2 weeks) I felt something was wrong, and asked them to check the baby. I was told I was young, a first time mom, and I didnt know any better. At 39 weeks and 1 day, my daughter was stillborn due to me becoming septic with one of the kidney infections. Not only did Dr. Plimpton not arrive in time for the birth (I was in labor for 24 hours and the nurses were trying to call him for 3 hours), when he did get there, he showed no sympathy. He gave me an antibiotic and an anti depressant and left the hospital. I would not recommend his practice to my worst enemy. It was awful.

I went into early labor with my daughter at 34 weeks. I went to the triage at st. joes and dr plimpton was on call. He decided that I should stay in town (I was visiting for my baby shower but living in san diego with my husband who was in the military) because it was too dangerous to travel, and have an amnio at 36 weeks and induce if the babys lungs were ok. Needlesstosay I got a second and third opinion, both who told me that was a crazy idea, and that I was safe to travel and I would probably go past my due date. I did not delivery until 41 weeks (induced, mind you) and I would NEVER ever see this dr. again. He wanted to put my babys life in danger (amnio) for absolutely no reason at all. I would not recommend him, and i would refuse to see him if I ever had to be brought to the triage again.

its been a long time sense i seen dr. plimpton! he put in my birthcontrol and took it out. its been almost 2 years sense i had it removed and i had an ovarian cyst in march on 2013. before that i have called over 20 times and no return. one of the staff that picked up the phone was no help, i left him message after message and nothing. im getting really tired of trying, im wanting to take legal action, but im holding off. i hope DR. PLIMPTON will answer my calls because deep in my mind im worried that im not able to have kids again!. i refuse to redo ALL my paperwork just to speak to him! dont waste your time on seeing him for birth control.. DR. PLIMPTON i hope you can reach me or RETURN my call! ive been calling you every other week for the past YEAR!!!!

Yvonne Bojorquez - Dr. Plimpton was my Dr for my last pregnancy (which she is now two) He was very imformative, professional, courteous and made me feel at home. I received lots of pictures of the baby. And 99% of the time seen him, unless he was on a delivery. I think that he was great and would reccommend him to family and friends. My sister also had him as a doctor and she loved him also. I am looking forward to having him be my OB for new pregnancy. I cant wait my finacee and I are so excited. As for the staff, exceptional, curteous and very friendly. very flexible on appts. Thanks to all...Thanks for making me feel at home there and providing such a beautiful office.

Dr. Plimpton is by far the best ob/gyn he delivered all 4 of my boys and he was always very informative. He never made me feel uncomfortable he always returned my calls within 30 min. I recommended my sis in law for all 3 babies and she loves this Dr as well. The ladies on the front desk are great except one of them Luke she fails at doing ultrasounds and doesnt even ask you if you have questions etc she covers for Plimpton if hes attending a birth. Other than that I absolutely love this dr.

My experience here was great ! My aunt had all 4 boys with this doctor, and I so recommend anyone to Dr. Plimpton, he answers any questions you have regarding your pregnancy, what to take or do when youre not feeling good and everything even after your pregnancy . He delivered my first born this year of August. Staff is amazing, if doctor cant get to you theyll help you. Very clean and friendly environment.

Staff is very professional and very understanding but Dr.plimton made me feel very uncomfortable with his questions. Last time I went in for a 6week follow up after having my son he hurt me to a point I couldnt move for at least an hour. Him asking me about my personal life and telling me what I should do with my husband was very unprofessional of his part. Never will I go back to see him.

Doctor plimpton delivered me 20 years ago and just delivered my baby a month ago. He also helped me with my miscarriage a year ago. Hes a great doctor and really seems like he cares. The only thing is he makes you wait until youre 5+ centimeters to get an epidural. The front office staff are nice expect for the short haired lady shes very rude for no apparent reason.

I couldnt ask for a better doctor. I would drive across state to be seen by Plimpton. I wouldnt think twice about going to a different doctor. Yes the wait time is a little long, but...you see...he is very thorough, wants you to ask questions and actually be a caring doctor. Not to mention his awesome office off of Thomas. Thanks Plimpton!
