A doctor in this program, Andre De Leon, prescribed a 7.5 mg dose of Coumadin (a common blood thinner) to my Mom on Feb. 24, 2015. This level is too high for an elderly person and can lead to fatal bleeding A second doctor in the program, Tate De Leon, saw my Mom (who was also a doctor!) in the ER February 26, 2015. Her INR, a test of blood thinner level, was dangerously high, due to the excessive dose of Coumadin. An elevated INR in an elderly person should be promptly rechecked, but Tate told her to recheck it in one week. She died three days later, apparently of a brain bleed, according to the ER doc. The doctors have deleted factual reviews on the Vitals website and have never talked with me (the patients daughter). Both Andre and Tate De Leon graduated from Ross University, a Caribbean med school that accepts doctors rejected from US medical schools. A number of Eisenhower doctors attended Ross and similar second-rate Caribbean universities. Patients beware of Caribbean-trained docs and medical centers that cover up errors.

I was directed to the family practice from the Urgent care center when I first arrived from Nevada. I have generally been pleased with the care. One of the reasons I was in urgent care was to refill a prescription that I am pretty dependent on. Last Sunday I ordered refills from my pharmacist, realizing that they would have to wait until a doctor was able to refill the prescription. It is Thursday and it has not been filled. The pharmacy sent two faxes. When it had not been filled by Wednesday, I called the practice. I did not hear back. I still await having my medication filled. And I have good insurance.

After over a year of searching for a good doctor on my HMO plan I finally found Eisenhower Center for Family Medicine, excellent service, they care, they follow up, they do their job. Could not be more pleased with this place, so thankful I found it!
