Ive been to Angeles Animal Hospital a handful of times. I own a pet care business, so I get to meet a lot of veterinarians. After getting to know several, my husband and I decided this was the best one for our pets. I have a high maintenance Italian Greyhound who is always getting himself into trouble, and a very touchy Bernedoodle. The staff is super friendly toward the animals, and is courteous and accommodating toward us. I have never waited more than ten minutes to get into a room. Dr. Barns always takes his time to understand the whole situation, and clearly answers our questions. This is the only veterinarian Ive ever been to who takes the time to explain what he is doing for my pets and why. To top it off, the prices are phenomenal. I highly recommend Dr. Barns and his wonderful staff to all the pet owners I know. The way they do things turns a vet visit from a stressful chore into a pleasant experience.

Dr. Barns is excellent. Hes experienced and so knowledgable and gentle with my dog Stella. He takes time to explain and address any matter or concerns you may have for your pet. His services are fairly priced too. Before I found Dr. Barns, I had taken my dog to another vet in Simi and was extremely shocked and blown away when they more than doubled the price they quoted me for a standard service. After that horrible experience a friend referred me to Dr. Barns, and weve been super delighted with the services he provides. The staff at Angeles Animal Hospital are all super friendly as well! Every time I take my pup Stella to Dr. Barns, she can hardly wait to run inside and greet everyone. Highly recommend. Feels like a small town doctor whos in it for the love of animals. Highly recommend!

Dr. Barns has been my vet for more than twenty years. Having a long-established relationship with the medical caretaker of your pets is vital to ensuring good health and prompt treatment in the event of illness or injury. I completely trust this mans expertise and sensibility in diagnosing and managing my pets care. We have had a variety of health issues, some have been complex and/or uncommon - Dr. Barns has been ahead of the curve every time; when we needed a specialist, he knew who we should call. Lastly, his staff is great, especially the office manager, Kris. She has been there for a long time, is always responsive and compassionate. Experience + Trust + Compassion = superior care for my pets. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I drive all the way to Simi from Agoura to make sure that my pets are cared for by Doc Barns. My dogs and cats have been his patients for many years and having watched him work in a wide variety of circumstances I would never go elsewhere. He is patient and thorough but also cautious and not an alarmist like some others. Dr. Barns always seeks the most logical solutions before jumping ahead to radical procedures and drugs and thus we have avoided a great many treatments that turned out to be unnecessary and would have been traumatic to my pets and my pocketbook. I trust Doc Barns 100% and that is precisely why with half a dozen veterinarians within a mile or two of my house, I drive to Simi. My pets only get the best.

Best experience ever! Ive been taking my animals to Dr. Barnes ever since we had animals. I brought my dog in after two pit bulls attacked her. She had probably 20+ puncter wounds and several deep tissue wounds to her front legs and had been bleed for a while before we found her. Dr. Barnes gave me a price quote up front and quickly put compression wraps on her legs to stop the bleeding, he gave her an iv, with antibiotics, and pain medicine. Sent me home to monitor her and told me to bring her back first thing in the morning. When I came back, her totally cleaned get up and sent me home with meds. He only charged me for the first visit and the needs. I would recommend him over anyone else. ...

My 12-year-old sheltie dog is my flowers but to most people shes the "thorn" of a flower. Shes not a real nice dog, she dont care for people touching her. This became a great concern to me when she needed to go to the vet to see Dr. Barnes. Who has always been her vet but has only had to see him once when she was a puppy. But for some reason, I guess its his care, his compassion and his love she allowed to be examined. The staff got me in as soon as I needed to, they were kind and helpful to me. The exam rooms are always clean and comfortable. Thank you Dr. Barnes

Dr Barnes has been our vet for over 20 years, We believe our Animals have always received the best of care. His Staff is very friendly and we never have a long wait. Most importantly we feel we can always trust Dr Barnes, we feel he is truly honest and trustworthy and would never recommend procedures that were not in the very best interest of our Pets or ourselves. Trust is the most important aspect in any medical relationship. We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Barnes. I only wish we had as good experiences with our own personal physicians.

We have been taking our pets to Angeles Animal Hospital since 1983. The care and concern for our animals well being is very high and consistent, they offer choices whenever possible and costs were always reasonable. They have been tender with us when we had to put pets down and took a few minutes to get to know each new pet. Grooming, maintenance, and managing terminal conditions- they have been thru it all with us and we have felt very fortunate to have them as our pets health and well being partners!

Worst vet ever. Staff is nice but vets suck. Not personable to people or animals. Move em in move em out type atmosphere. Wont even talk to you over the phone. Makes you come in just to charge you money and tell you theres nothing wrong. They also just started a grooming service in the last couple years. Dont know where they hired these people but they shaved of my dads dogs nipples and didnt even say a thing. Just horrible all around. Except for the front office staff

Dr. Barnes is a very excellent veterinarian. We have been taking our dogs to him for 30 years. We really appreciate getting quality care for our dogs as well as individual attention and a "small town" feeling with the staff. Dr Barnes takes the time to know our dogs and I never feel rushed when talking to him. His office is always available when I need help for my pets. Cant imagine going anywhere else.
