Debra Davison is a horrible vet. Do not let this woman treat your pets. She almost killed mine by rushing into a diagnosis which was incorrect. We took our dog in as he had been sick (vomiting, no appetite, lethargic, etc) for a few weeks. The hospital took four x-rays - none of which showed anything unusual or abnormal. However, Davison became convinced, despite no actual proof, that my dog had some type of obstruction in the stomach or intestines. Instead of taking time to run all appropriate tests and consider all options, she practically forced us into a $3500 exploratory surgery. I even asked her if there were any other options or tests we could do before surgery and the only things she came up with was either an ultrasound or a barium contrast x-ray - both costing over $500 and according to her, not very reliable. No once did it ever occur to her to mention a quick, painless, and inexpensive blood panel. Only by sheer luck did she run a blood test before starting the surgery, then informed me, "Its a good thing I did the blood panel first, if I would have put him under anesthesia, he probably would have died." She admitted to my face that she almost killed him out of negligence and impatience, and made it sound like she was some sort of hero for saving his life. Even if he had survived, it would have cost us the $3500, plus he would have still been sick! I dont trust this woman, her judgment, or her ability to safely practice pet medicine. Beware!

Im unimpressed. I arrived at 3:10 (for my 3:15 appointment), filled out the paperwork, and was shown into the examination room at 3:15. At 3:35, I overheard a customer come in with a rattlesnake bite. At 3:40, I went out to the waiting room and asked when the vet would be in to see me. They explained it would be a while longer because of the rattlesnake bite. I would expect a little more professionalism: 1) If I have a 3:15 appointment, I dont expect to have to wait more than 10 minutes to see the vet. I waited 20 minutes before the rattlesnake bite came in. 2) If theres going to be a delay (such as the rattlesnake bite), I expect the staff to let me know. Im asking for a little communication, not a change in the practice. This is something I expect from any professional practice. I will go back to my other vet (Valley Vet South).

Dr. Russell is the most AMAZING VET I have ever met. I have an old 12 year old dog who has been having some issues lately. She recommended appropriate X-rays and an Ultrasound to really see what was going on. What we discovered is that there would be nothing else we could do except pain management. My dog has gotten back a "pep back in his step!" The reason Im taking the time to write this review is because Dr. Russell didnt just prescribe a months worth of pills and move on. She literally has checked in on my dog and family every two weeks to see how things are going. She is thorough in her explanations and also is making sure I have realistic expectations. One day we will have another puppy Im sure, and we will 100% be going back to Longs Peak Animal Hospital and keeping Dr. Russell watching over our next family member!

Switched over to this vet about a year ago and so far so good. Their working hours are simply amazing and one of the main reasons I selected them plus a couple of recommendations from friends. Being able to make appointments on the weekends is great for working parents who simply don’t have the time on the weekdays. FYI; I did find the other review referencing the rattle snake bite interesting as I had an appointment during the same event at 4pm. They asked me if I would rather reschedule or wait, so I waited about 20 minutes before seeing the vet and went on about my day. I was actually impressed by them pushing normal nonemergency appointments off to give the dog their full attention and staff, it’s what I would have wanted if it were my dog.

I took my dog to Longspeak Animal Hospital and after the Dr checked him over they presented me with a bill for over $131.00 although they originally told me around $40.00. It so hppened I needed to take him back a second time and Dr. Davison told me the cost for that visit would be $27.00. I repeated back to her the $27.00-$29.00 and no more, she said oh yes it will most likely be $27.00. When I went to pay my bill I was presented with a bill for $42.00. I will never take my pet back there again. I would rather drive to another city than to go back there. I feel like they are in the practice all for the money not so much because they care for the animals. After reading some of the other reviews I thank God that my dog wasnt sicker than he was.

Yesterday, I was faced with the toughest decision Ive ever made. I had to put my 16-year-old Shitzu, Mitzie, to sleep. I chose Longs Peak Animal Hospital, and I couldnt have been more pleased with their service. The receptionist was very professional, and asked to go into a room where Dr. Jessica Russell met us, and was very thorough in explaining the process--but the most important thing is that she sympathized with us, and handle our beloved Mitzie in a very gentle and caring way. I recommend Longs Peak very highly, not only when you are facing a difficult time like this, but for all your pets medical need. I just moved to the area, and I am going to have my other pet, Nugget, as a patient in this clinic.

Longs Peak is an outstanding vet clinic. My wife and I have consistently had excellent, thorough service there and have recommended them to our friends in the area. On our last visit, we had to get XRays for our lab and, after they were complete, Dr. Conrad brought his laptop into the waiting room and showed us the XRays, zooming in on parts of the picture and explaining why he was making his decisions in his diagnosis. We never feel pressured to do anything there, but rather, we feel very informed about what we decide to do/spend.

Some of the most caring and smart vets Ive met! They went over and beyond what I expected when my kitten got critically ill and nearly died. They treated him like he was one of their own, did everything they could think of to help pull him through - even with the odds didnt look good - and handled my freak outs wonderfully well! And my little boy survived like a champ!! Cant say enough good things

Even though I didnt have an appointment and just walked in with an emergency the vet on duty worked us in, made the diagnosis and treated my mini-dachshund. Couldnt have had a better experience. Thanks to the whole team. They were caring and compassionate and went above the norm to help is out.

Very honest and caring veterinarians! I see mostly Dr. Becker and Dr Hrenchir. They give me few options, and what would they do if it was their dog. The best option usually was not the most expensive one! They are down on the floor with my dogs, and my dogs and I love them!
