Having reached that point in my transition where I knew it was time to begin HRT, I decided to search online for Trans friendly counseling services. Right there on the first page of results, the name jumped out at me: "Two Spirit Health Services Inc." Reading the clinics "About" page; I learned that not only is Two Spirit LGBT friendly, yet was actually established to serve the needs of the Central Florida gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community to get mental health and other related services. Their concept is to provide the feel of a private practice office, rather than an institution, and staffed by people who “get us”. Furthermore the Two Spirit website also has a page dedicated to gender transitioners, (like me) which after reading, I knew without a doubt in my mind that I had found the place for me. Being that it was dark:30 on a Sunday Morning, I utilized the "Contact" page on the website. The very next day on Monday at 10:32am I received an email back with information, and the number to dial to set up an appointment. Also something I found super wonderful was that I could download the new patient forms to fill out at home, and bring with me to my appointment. My appointment was set for three days later on Thursday at 1. Walking into the practice on my appointment day, upon opening the door, I was greeted with a warm, and inviting interior environment. The lighting levels are perfect, with soft tasteful music playing in the background. The furniture is big and comfy, with community magazines to read if one wished to. I checked in with Bobby at the front desk and handed in my papers which I downloaded. A few moments later my counselor Ernie came out to greet me with a warm smile. After a brief hello and how are you, we went back to one of the pleasantly appointed offices and started my first session. Fantastic! I could not have chosen better. To be honest, I had imagined that my first session would be filled with time having me explain to the counselor the generalities of transition before we even got to the particulars of my transition. Nope, this is nothing new here, and within a few moments I was able to establish a rapport with Ernie and we could get right down to the "soup" of my personal transition, addressing my personal situation, family background, work and home conditions, and other factors that are better addressed before starting HRT. Love, love - LOVE! Some sessions later I was told I would receive my letter clearing me to see a medical doctor, and begin the next step of my transition and start HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). In closing I should point out that the mental health clinic is on the second floor, and the medical clinic is on the fourth floor (at the time of my visit -check before you go). Please pardon the pun, yet this is just another feather in the cap of Two Spirit, because their health services range from mental health (counseling) to physical health (medical, prescriptions, etc) Five Stars All Day Long, Two Spirit Health Services Inc. has earned my highest recommendation! I am so happy I found them.

I give 2 stars because of the concept and the therapist but their scheduling methods and system are ridiculous twice in a row I have had appointments and twice they dont have us in the system this is pshycology and I feel like this is important if a patient is waiting on a appointent they should be more considerate we needed our appointment but I am turned away because I am not in the system that is so unprofessional. I will not be using these services anymore. These things are not something to be toyed with I am so dissapointed. I expecte more from this safe place.

Walked in sat down at talked to the therapist and got my letter done same day. It takes a week to process but they do take insurance and everything else too. They dont gate keep here and they get the job done relatively quickly. So look forward to this place cause both the staff and therapist are great and youll love them.

Been seeing someone at this facility since June of last year and its been the best decision Ive made. They dont always answer the phone so usually youll have to leave a message but they do a good job at calling back to set up an appointment.
