Dr. Hughes is a good doctor with a great bedside manner and a lot of patience with both young patients and parents. However, her staff, with the exception of one, are horrible. HORRIBLE!! I dont understand how it goes unnoticed by the professionals. They are the rudest people you will ever encounter. Worse than hospitals! They typically wont even greet you, wont look at you and wont speak to you until they are ready. They flat out ignore your presence. Sometimes they wont even be doing anything except fiddling around if its not busy. When you actually need to speak with one, whether its a simple question that takes a second to answer or scheduling appointments they sigh and speak with you in the rudest and belittling manner. Or just blankly stare at you like youre wasting their time. Simply put, the staff can be hostile and is just bad. Ive had to confront one once on her unprofessional behavior towards me and other parents of patients. When you have to call the office theyll put you on hold 4 or 5 times before someone finally answers and when they do theyre rude even on the phone. Like it ruined their day to speak with you. Followed by a hang up with no goodbye or even a confirmation. Tried to get the name of the woman that did it to me today and she wouldnt give it to me. She has an accent if that helps. Shes one of the rudest. Ive even brought this up to the superior and nothing changes. If you can overlook them for a good doctor than by all means, go for it. However, considering that there is no way around having to deal with the staff, if you prefer a friendly environment than I dont recommend this office. Save yourself the annoyance that can potentially lead to a bad day.

Took my son to this office after he was born and my first impression was good. Well in the 5 visits we had at this office I never once met the actually doctor, the excuse every time I asked for her was that she was on vacation, keep in mind I only had my son there for his first 2 months. My biggest problem is that my son had a hydrocele that went unnoticed by both nurse practitioners and it was only when I seeked help from the hospital that I was informed about it and I had to bring it to the offices attention. My son was also developing a flat spot that I noticed but neither of the nurse practitioners said anything about until again I brought it up. The only thing they were concerned about was my 5 week old weighting 12lbs and telling me I was over feeding. I personally watched one of the nurse practitioners fat shame a 1 year old. And to top it off they never sent my childs shot records to the health department like they were supposed too so now months later Im running around trying to get the records for his new pediatrician . Overall I found this office to be incompetent and I could no longer risk my sons health by taking him to see a nurse that obviously wasnt thorough enough and was missing important things about my son. Maybe Teena Hughes should spend more time in her office seeing patients then on vacation or maybe its time to retire!

I have known Dr. Hughes for a vast majority of my life. She was my pediatrician growing up, and has always taken care of my family. It was only right that I trust her with the care of my children as well. Any time that I have contacted the after-hours service I am responded to within the hour. Dr. Hughes, or any of her medical staff walks me through what needs to be done, and if the problem can not wait until the office opens they recommend the ER right away. Anyone I know with children I always recommend this office. I have read the reviews about her office staff being rude, I will say this... They are not bad at all, they are just constantly on the go with trying to get everyone in and out. If you are not one to build a conversation over time, then you would think they are rude! I appreciate them all, they have a way of working with all of my children.

Dr. Hughes is a very kind woman. My toddler has come here a few times when shots are due or if he was sick and every single time I call the person who answers the phone is so unbelievably, horribly rude. The worst customer service I have ever experienced from any of the women who answer the phone. Other than the rude front desk women, the rooms are fun for the kids with toys (Honestly dont think they are sanitized in between patients) and the doctor or physicians assistant is always very kind. If you have an appointment scheduled, just know you will be waiting in the lobby for at least thirty minutes before you go to the back and another thirty minutes in the back room before you are seen by the doctor. Overall I would rate it 4/10 stars.

The absolute WORST doctor we have ever been to. Front office staff is rude, customer service is horrible. All they care about is getting their government money! We were a patient for several years, paid our Co-pay every single visit (might have been the only patients NOT on medicaid) and they had the nerve to send a bill for $40 claiming that the insurance company didnt pay it. I spoke to the insurance company and in fact they never SUBMITTED the bill. Asked them to re-submit for proper processing and two months letter I receive a letter from an attorney that Ive been sent to collections for $40!!!! WHAT A JOKE! I will be sure to let EVERY SINGLE PERSON I know to NEVER use your services.

Honestly, ive never had a bad experience. the nurse practitioner is amazing I believe is dr.Garcia (sorry). I met Dr.Teena Hughes once, very nice concerned.. The rest of the staff absolutely nice...Very clean facility. i like the flexibility of appointments. My baby loves it here.. i thank you ladies for everything you do. Noah and I are happy to find a pediatrics that treats us like family. Thank you Noahs Mommy

Best caring and friendliest doctor. My boys have been going here since they were babies. I changed drs once to find one closer to home and changed right back to Teena Hughes. Always in an out with wonderful service. Teena is the best and she loves the kids and always makes sure to find out whats ailing them. Love love love and will never change again.

A Private User

A good example is today, I called early this morning and they said to come in around 8:15 since this is when they see walk ins, I showed up around 8:30 due to traffic and they saw me right away. The staff is always very nice. Thanks to her we are getting special care that we need for our child from different therapist due to the developmental delays.

My children been going to Dr. Hughes since to 2001 , She came to see me at St. Joes Women .She had excellent bedside manners . Her staff has change but I enjoy them all . The first to start out in the office was Cassandra, Jennifer, and Mitchell they were wonderful ...GREAT JOB TO THE TEAM!!!
