Garbage company with garbage people; unprofessional and disorganized. They try to bully you into working in places you dont want to work and they set you up to get in trouble by requesting favors (like overtime) and then use their policies to stab you in the back. They tried to get me in trouble with the state after they asked me to work overtime. They fail to communicate with each other and with the families about shift coverage which causes a lot of confusion; then they try to blame their disorganization on the nurses to the families, behind the nurses backs. They try to make you look unreliable and disorganized when it is actually them. One nurse gave them ONE MONTHs notice that she wouldnt be able to cover a shift and Maxim STILL didnt provide coverage for the days she missed. The mother of the patient was left holding the bag because of their irresponsibility. Staffing pulls you off cases abruptly or block you for working a case if they see you like the case too much or if the family likes you too much. They try to push you to work on cases you arent keen on. The staffing coordinators thinks they are in charge of the nurses and disrespect the nurses. The nursing supervisors (while personable) are ineffective. They talk badly about the nurses behind their backs to the parents. The staffers are very phony; one told a parent that she pulled me off her case because I was fighting with the other nurses in the house. This wasnt true; I got along with the other nurses in the house. Thankfully, the parent saw through the lie and knew I was a good fit for the patient and for the house and put up a fuss to get them to put me back on the case. One of the staffers is a brat and if you dont work at the house he wants you to work at, he gets upset and argumentative. He has wasted much of my time on my days off trying to argue with me into working a case that I explicitly told him I wasnt interested in. They hold it against you too and will screw you over later when they get the chance. They try to low-ball you with pay and when you negotiate for more money, they act like you owe them something or they did you a favor by paying you a fair wage. The head of the Winter Park branch is smug and obnoxious; he tried to bully me into working on a case and threatened to fire me if I didnt. I had to report him to HR to get him to back off. I know one parent who was almost fired from her job because Maxim couldnt provide adequate coverage and she had to call out to stay home with her child multiple times. Maxim actually causes more trouble than they help. This is a trash agency, never work here or seek services here; its not worth it. They will schmooze you and be extra phony and nice to get your guard down but dont believe it. You are unlikely to have adequate coverage for your child or, if you are a nurse, you can lose your license dealing with this agency. TRUST ME! Also, to the woman whose check is being held hostage by payroll, you nee to call the labor dept; that is ILLEGAL!!!!!

If I could rate it negative 5 stars I would. This company is an embarrassment to home healthcare. I do not want to publish how I am affiliated with the company, whether I seeked service or worked here, but on both spectrums they are unorganized, rude, and heartless. If possible go to a different home health company. Just like the woman below me said, they ruin more than they help.

I put in an application a few years ago. I went for the orientation and everything. They never call me for work and kept my check. They said cause I didnt go for a background check so they had to keep my check. Theyre holding my check to this day..
