I have worked for Helping Hands for years now, both in the office and in the field as a home health aid. Having seen both sides of the business, I can tell you first hand how difficult the coordination of home care is. Despite this, however, the office staff and management of Helping Hands work diligently to do everything they can to ensure that their elderly clients receive the care they need. Management always treated me fairly and was very flexible when it came to my position. After a couple years, I decided to go to college and Helping Hands generously offered me training and a position in the field so that I could continue to work for them, around my school schedule. Working in the field, I met all kinds of characters and had some eye opening experiences. I had many of my clients tell me personally that our relationship changed their life. One client called me his sunshine and another said I was what he looked forward to all week long. Home care is not an easy field to be, complications arise constantly but it is also extremely rewarding and can change the lives of both clients and workers. Helping Hands provides an amazing service to the community and Im very proud to be apart of that.

Helping Hands has a terrible, terrible turn over. If you want a different person going out to your families house every week then this is the place to be. I came to check on my grandmother and an aide that was in her home smelled like marijuana and had her phone in her hand the entire time. Shes had multiple aides call in "sick" and not able to come out. They need to do better screening and they maybe need to pay a little more for quality aides who actually want to work and want to help. These people really need help. I learned that this job "teaches" free CNA classes to completely inexperienced people, slap their names on a badge and send them out to someones home. I dont know about you, but i want someone with proper training to care for my family. Also, customer service is not helpful. Never available when you call with a concern. I hope this helped. I have heard similar complaints for my grandmas friends so trust me, its not just my "bad experience". Dont waste your time here!

My wife works for this company and they have been nothing but good to her as well as myself. When I was out of work they gave me a job so that I could continue to support my family until I could find something in my field. Not many companies care about their employees in that way and would give their spouse a job. In addition, my mother is a client at Helping Hands. She had a massive stroke and had to have part of her skull removed. After more than a month of hospital and rehab stay we were able to bring her home with the help of Helping Hands and their staff including Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, and home health aides. Without their wonderful help and care this would not be possible. I am very grateful for everything they do and the expertise I see in their field staff. i do not have to worry that my mother is in good hands and she is progressing well.

They neglect there clinics. My mother hasnt seen a home health aid bit one time this entire month. The company seems to be a click of friends and NOT a professional health care provider. The aids do NOTHING bit sit the entire time they are here to assist her with her adls. The aids also brought a stranger her friend into my parents home. Searched for used cars on my personal computer, she said she was bored. Would leave during her shift to pick up her boyfriend/friends. Always on there cell phones. And if the management will talk to you on the phone, they will agrue and believe there staff over whats really going on. Then go on to make you feel like your wrong... When you watched the aid commit all these infractions.

Theres many things I could say about this company, after working both in the field and the office i saw first hand the disorganization, miscommunication, and a lack of understanding from the companies D.O.N. Long story short I was glad i can look back and say it was a learning experience for me, however if I knew in the beginning that the company is mainly a family run operation with with those individuals receiving preferential treatment, I wouldnt of wasted as much time and effort into trying to the company a success. I would Not recommend HHH for their services or potential employment.

I worked for HHH for 5 years in various positions- HHA, scheduling, recruitment, management- and it was great to be giving back to the community. The company does a lot to help the senior citizens, especially those who may not be as fortunate as others. It was a joy to be able to be a part of celebrating clients 100th birthday parties and organizing "santa visits" to deliver donations. The company also has been able to empower a lot of workers through their CNA training program, to give them the training they need to work in this field.

Ive worked for this company and Ive never met owners more hard working than at this company they care about the work that they do! They also help in their communities and give back! They are wonderful kind hearted people who care about others! They also care about and love animals they shelter and take in strays and make sure that they get the care and attention that they need! Overall wonderful company to work for and owned by wonderful people!

If I could rate less, I would. Worst company I have ever worked for by far. They Dont seem to have any concern for their clients or their aids. Its family run so they very obviously getting held higher than the rest. Several occasions I would be sent out to a new client, with no notice, and be double or triple booked with someone. As well as more than one aid being sent out to one home scheduled for only one aid. No organization at all.

When my mother-in-law had a major stroke, and needed home health care, the aides with Helping Hands were caring and great with her. They made sure she got the care she needed and gave our family peace of mind. The OT, PT, and Nurse were also wonderful, and worked with her, showing patients and kindness when she would become frustrated. I would use them again if needed! Thanks Helping Hands!

WOuld like to have rated it LESS than 0 stars. From Bridgette the scheduler to division managers Jackie and Kathleen, EVERYONE that works there are apparently LIARS>.. I feel EXTREMELY bad for the elderly people who do not have someone to be their VOICE... because THIS company does NOT care about the elderly. I dont even understand how they are in business.

Ive worked for Helping Hands for the past year and a half as a RN Case Manager and I can honestly say it is the best job Ive had as a nurse. I feel respected and appreciated by my employer and they provide me with the flexibility and resources I need to provide quality care to my patients. This company truly does care about their patients and employees.

Helping hands plays games with their customers and their lives. You call with a complaint and they make promises they have no intention keeping. They practice retribution on both any employee who complains as well as any customer that complains. These are legitimate complaints. I plan to ask the State of Ohio to investigate them. Will ask medicaid same.
