First, I didnt even get the dentist I booked. I tried to book Dr. Lisa Deangelis, but I got Dr. Jewett (the one everyones bad reviews are about). Second, the cleaning was the roughest cleaning Ive ever experienced. Third, the fluoride was in my mouth before I could tell them I didnt ask for it. Of course I got charged for it, though. I didnt even get a chance to finish my paperwork before they took me back, so how did they even know why I was there? I paid for the fluoride that day, and now Im being billed for it AGAIN by my insurance company. $29 in the office and $43 from my insurance company. I know the fluoride that I didnt even ask for shouldnt cost $72, but ok. Fourth, I got into an ARGUMENT with the dentist. I have two teeth (they arent technically wisdom teeth, theyre technically third molars... but I didnt have them until 19, and they HURT) that I want removed. Theyre unopposed, Im biting my gums, and I cant even reach them well with my tooth brush. I didnt even have them until three years ago, and I just want rid of them. He almost refused to refer me to a surgeon because he thought I should get opposing implants instead. He didnt seem to care that that is WAY more expensive and NOT covered by insurance. He thought it would "just be better to have more teeth." He wasnt there for my talk with the tech, and he wasnt interested in what I had to say. He didnt care about my problems or my pain. He was in the room for maybe five minutes. He basically came in, ignored me, tried to brush me off, and left. Fifth, the receptionist lost my drivers license at some point when I checked in, and I missed another hour of work while I waited for them to find it and give it back. They lost my insurance card, too, but I luckily can just print another. Sixth, I would say it was like pulling teeth to get in touch with someone to send my X-rays elsewhere, but pulling teeth is the seemingly very distant goal Im actually going for here. I called a couple times to get my x-rays transferred somewhere else. One of those times I was transferred to an answering machine. Im sure at this point you could imagine my distrust, so I called again at the end of the day, and the lady on the receiving end actually seemed helpful. A few back-and-forths later, and my x-rays are finally safe with my surgeon, so Im in the clear to post this. I have never felt so frazzled after dealing with a dentist. My cheap walk-in clinic experiences from my college days have been better. And they cost me a LOT less.

I must start off by saying Dr. DeAngelis is awesome. Too bad she works here! They have made far too many errors for me to return. Mistake #1: Was getting a deep cleaning (2nd visit) and the girl did not read my chart and without uttering a word to me, calls this not so nice man (Im assuming he was a dentist) and he just says open your mouth and gives me a shot. He was very rough and caused a lot of pain. The 1st visit I had OraKicks and the assistant talked to me nicely and explained things to me. When I asked why I was not able to get the OraKicks on my 2nd visit, I was simply told I didnt read your chart! What if I had an allergy? She really could kill someone because she was too lazy to read the chart!!!! Mistake #2: I was having a crown done and I had to go in for a 2nd impression. I understand mistakes like that can happen so I just kinda blew it off. Mistake #3: Todays visit, or waste of my time...appointment time was 9:30am. I arrived at 9:25. Lady at desk was on phone and no one acknowledged me (they never acknowledge anyone unless the person taps on the window or stands there and stares at them). I signed in and sat down directly in front of the window. At 10am I went back to the window to ask why I have not been called back. It was discovered that someone put a new sheet on top of the first sheet and she didnt check it. She said she would try to get me back there by 10:30. I explained that I had to be at work by noon. At 10:20 I was called back to the window only to be told that I would not be able to see anyone at 10:30 and was asked if they could get me out by 11:30 would that be ok? I dont work across the street and my time is valuable. I simply walked out without saying a word. While the lady was nice about it, it still does not make up for the fact that you have wasted my time. Time is money for me just as it is for them. Im just done with this office because there have been too many errors and Im sorry just saying, "I messed up" doesnt make up for it.

Beware paying for Dentrite discount Program. I used it for the past year and was satisfied. After having to re-schedule my appointment, this year I went for the annual check thinking I was also to get cleaning done, but not so. In fact they refuse to clean my teeth at all after doing the exam unless I agree to "Deep Cleaning". at a cost of approximately $350. I am most unhappy with this news as I just paid another years fee and now cant use the discount program. She greeted me by telling me I had not checked "no" on the medical form and was frustrated that she had to do that. The next words were "do you floss daily?". Then she proceeds to tell me I need to have my teeth cleaned every 3 months. I have had lots of dental work in the past and try to keep my teeth cared for. After doing the probing she tells me I need deep cleaning (everything was okay when I went for cleaning in Feb). I told her I was not ready to do that and she "promised" me she would not hurt. When she called the Dentist, she told me I was doing a good job cleaning my teeth except for a few places and showed me xrays that had just been taken. I decided that I was not going to have the deep cleaning now, and probably never if My was to do it. When I got ready to pay, they would not schedule a cleaning appointment for me. Guess if you dont so what they say, they wont consider your rights and just clean my teeth. I called back the next day and got Gigi who confirmed that they would not clean my teeth because if I did not get the treatment they recommend I might sue them! I feel that they have not communicated adequately with me about my dental needs, have not respected my input about my dental care and are violating my dental discount plan by denying me requested services. I have notified Dentrite of my concerns. Buyer beware!!!!!!

After trying this dental practice for the past several years, I am in the processing of writing my dental insurance company to complain about my experience. I just happened to click on this review site today, as I was checking on the complete address and spelling of my dentists name. I only wish I had seen this earlier. From my first experience there, I thought that their prices were high, and they kept adding extra services and treatments. I am supposed to be entitled to basic exams and cleanings, but somehow I never was able to take advantage of these, and ended up paying a lot out of pocket. Even though I had been seeing another dentist regularly ( I changed to find someone in this new insurance plan), I was told that I needed "periodontal cleaning". I agreed to this at first, and was then told I needed to come again every 3 months for "maintenance" - not covered this often by my insurance, of course. This past Spring, due to severe illness in my family, I made an appointment for cleaning 9 months after my previous appointment. I was told that, due to this long interval, several teeth needed the periodontal cleaning again. However, they could not do this at this time- must make a new appointment, another trip. To make a long story short, I have been there (4) times since March, have paid $290.00 (supposedly AFTER insurance) and still do not have a complete cleaning. On my last time there, even though I had been told that I had already paid for the complete service, they wanted another $69.00 to complete the front of my mouth. I left, and want to warn others that this group gives misleading information, and inflated pricing. I expressed by anger about this on my last trip, and was shrugged off. Best advice- avoid this group.
