Edit 12/17 They really tried and I have no problem with then. The manager offered to make the new lenses again and replace the old prescription lenses that they had just made. I struggled to see at medium distances (like a monitor) and I went to another optometrist. They fitted me for trifocals. I just wish that would have been brought up before. Ive been a customer of this store for close to twenty years and through several changes of ownership. I think Im done coming here. Two weeks prior to my hunting trip I scheduled an appointment to see the optometrist. My prescription hadnt changed much, but my lenses were very scratched so I ordered two pairs, clear and sunglasses. The lenses came in and they installed them in my frames. I couldnt focus on much of anything, but the sunglasses seemed OK. I made another appointment and the optometrist couldnt see any reason that I couldnt focus, so I just asked to go back to my old prescription. While getting fitted, the tech found that the new lenses werent in the frame straight, the right lens was cocked. Im curious why the doctor didnt find the problem. Anyway, I was shocked at the price ($250ish) for two sets of lenses, especially after being told that I was getting a 50% off deal. That alone would make me shop elsewhere, nevermind the prescription / lens foul up. The new sunglass lenses (my old prescription) havent arrived yet. The clear ones have, so at least Ill be able to see on my hunting trip, just no sunglasses. They used to be great, I think there are better options now.

I have worn eyeglasses for 44 years and never before needed to purchase a "warranty" on any pair Ive heretofore purchased. I purchased a pair of progressive bifocal glasses from the Lord Eye Center earlier this year, and was sold a "protective coating" on the glasses. On November 9, 2013, I noticed that there was a "smoky" appearance when looking through my glasses, which obstructed my sight to the point of being unable to use the glasses. I immediately returned to the Lord Eye Center to see what could be done to remedy this. I was informed that the cause for this was the “protective coating was scratched.” I was further told that, although I protect my glasses with an eyeglass case when they are not being worn and clean them only with Zeiss lens cleansing cloths, they would not stand behind the lens because I failed to purchase a warranty on the glasses at the time of their purchase. My dependence upon these glasses every day of my life for seeing distances, driving, reading, etc., is obviously less important to the Lord Eye Center than their need to enforce the purchase of a "warranty" for their "protective coating.” Really? What is protective about THAT policy? Certainly, nothing for the customer. Needless to say, I will not be revisiting the Lord Eye Center for another purchase. As it is, I am now forced to wear an old pair of lens that I, fortunately, had the foresight to keep. I am just thankful that they are still in my possession so that I at least can see distances until next year (2014).

Today I visited Lord Eye Center in Kingsland GA. I had the GREAT pleasure of seeing Dr. Duncan Smith. WOW!! What an amazing individual. He was professional, calm and perfect during my visit. I had a foreign object in my cornea. The process of removal was not very comforting to me. Dr. Smith assured me that I would be fine and proceeded to remove the object. It will take some time to be 100% but I am sure I will be fine. The office staff was perfect as well as the nurse. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

They have a policy to not allow more than three appointments. We have five children, and did not want two days missing from work. They would not allow a date for all kids wanted two or more days. I rescheduled with someone else 3minutes later. We have lived in a few places, and have never had a business not allow all kids on same day. Missed out on five exams and three sets of glasses...
