My dog Max walked in to get his teeth cleaned and walked out with a spun out of control infection (which was caused by the procedure) after paying almost $1000. Now he is dead! Max had 1 (one) loose tooth when I brought him in. Dr. T. however pulled 21 (twenty one) teeth without getting back to me asking, if this is what I want. Pulling more teeth means more money for her, which is the reason why she pulled that many teeth. How can a responsible veterinarian even do this? I am completely beside myself! In the end Dr. T. completely ruined my dogs mouth and created an infection that was completely uncontrollable. Very obviously something went wrong during the procedure. Max developed a massive mass on his neck directly after the procedure. No antibiotics and not even steroids were able to get the horrific infection under control. She later on did an ultrasound and she had no clue whatsoever what the mass on his neck was. She even said: "I dont know what this mass is. I cant even tell you if this is the lymph node." This is pure incompetence! It is clear that something really bad went wrong during the teeth cleaning procedure. A vet at another clinic was shocked over the amount of teeth that were pulled and that I wasnt contacted before they destroyed his mouth and his life. I was talking to the Trickum Ridge head staff and they reject any responsibility for the obvious malpractice. They even said that "he already had cancer before the teeth cleaning". How can they say that without a single test prior to the teeth cleaning? - Fact is that Max was healthy and happy before I took him there for the teeth cleaning. - Fact is that he immediately got the mass on his neck after the procedure of which he died shortly after. - Fact is that they pulled 21 teeth and destroyed his mouth and consequently his health. I deeply regret going to Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital and highly suggest to avoid this vet clinic at any cost! And also: Do not believe any of the 5 star reviews from people with just one contribution. Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital already admitted that they had a "promotion" for Google reviews. Of course the people write a 5 star review not to jeopardize the discount they hope to get. This should be reported to Google and all of these fake reviews should be removed. Regarding your response: You miserably failed with your goal! My dog died because of YOUR malpractice! In our discussions over the phone youve denied any responsibility and tried to blame the death of my dog at first on me, telling me that I declined a biopsy, which was never offered, and then you claimed that Max already had cancer. This is ridiculous! Your flip-flopping between excuses shows that you are at fault and that you are directly responsible for the death of my dog! You have then cut off the discussion and told me to "direct any further communication to your lawyer". You dont care about the health of the animals and the happiness of your customers. You only care about money. It is undeniable that my dog was happy and healthy before I took him to your clinic for the extraction of ONE tooth and cleaning the rest. YOU have made him sick! Dr. T. pulled 21 teeth without my consent and destroyed Maxs health and life!

Im one of "those" cat moms! I have very high expectations for my cats veterinary care, and Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital has been successful with meeting them. Ive been using TRAH for at least six years and have always been happy with the attention and care my cats have received. Dr. Baker and Dr. Smith are very knowledgeable and keep up-to-date with changes and trends in veterinary medicine. They are thorough and calm with my cats, and they treat with the respect of a veteran cat owner. They listen, ask, and discuss. ~ ~ I have been impressed with the vet techs, particularly Kathy and Chad who leave me feeling safe and secure when leaving my cats for surgery. Kathy is always certain to assure you that you can contact her at anytime to check on your furmily. Mike and Heidi, two of the tech assistants, are pleasant and accommodating. They never seem to busy to help or answer a question. ~ ~ Last, but never least, are the staff at the front desk. My cats and I are greeted by name EVERY time we visit. Katie, Ashton, and Meghan welcome us and must always visit with my boys before we leave. If youre calling, they are kind and understanding and will find a way to get your question(s) answered and/or your needs met. ~ ~ On a side note, I appreciate the hours that TRAH operates. Its nice to know you can go in on a Saturday if you need to do so.

I have been taking my animals to TRAH for the last three years, for their wellness exams, for boarding and through all sorts of crises. While there have been some bumps along the way, I cannot say enough good things about Katie and the front desk team -- they always go above and beyond to help me get the information that I need, whether it is an answer to a random question, a medication refill or squeezing me in for an appointment. Jessie and the boarding team are wonderful, too -- I dont worry nearly as much as I would otherwise when I know that Jessie is keeping an eye on my dogs, as she takes care of them like they are her own and they love her just the same way. I know that if something happens while Im away, Jessie will call or text to let me know -- and that shell keep me posted, even while she takes care of them the same way that I would. The vets are great, too -- but there has been some turnover in the last year and Im still mourning the departure of my favorite vet, who understood the specific needs of this multi-animal household. Dr. Baker and Dr. Smith have been great, so far, and I look forward to getting to know them as we partner to take care of my animals. Thanks, TRAH, for helping me take care of my "kids!"

We started going to Trickum Ridge earlier this year when our GSD began acting strangely and our previous vet (who shall remain nameless but had been our family vet for almost 30 years) declined to see our sweet girl because they were "too busy" and the symptoms "didnt seem serious." We called Trickum Ridge on the advice of a friend, and they worked our dog in immediately even though we were new clients! The minute we walked into Trickum Ridge we knew wed found the new docs for our furry friends. The whole staff, from front office to techs to docs, were absolutely wonderful and took such great care of our furkid. Turns out, she was very sick and required emergency surgery. Since then, weve been a couple of times for follow up and other minor things. Everyone takes such great care and always goes above and beyond to explain things and make sure youre in the loop. They even send you home with detailed instructions for home care and will call to check in on you occasionally too. We couldnt be happier with our decision to make the move to Trickum Ridge. They truly love animals, and it shows!

Simply fantastic staff! My dog has anxiety issues (was a rescue), and they are so good with him! Not only do they adapt to how he best responds, they take their time and give him lots of attention. To the point his heart rate and respiration wasnt even elevated when they took his vitals! As for his mommy, they do the best job Ive ever seen of explaining exactly what theyre doing, why theyre recommending certain options, what to expect by way of any side effects to watch out for, etc. Keeping mommy calm & happy is just as important as the furbaby after all! Finally, they really do care about costs. As I came in the front door was a sign about discounts in effect for routine meds... and their regular prices I checked for Frontline/Heartguard were lower than Costco, Amazon and PetcareRx... even with the applicable coupons for the various websites! Complete win-win! Thank you so much for being a warm, caring animal hospital! Im so happy to have found Trickum Ridge for my furbabies and am entirely comfortable and confident that they are in wonderful hands.
