Dr Ihrke diagnosis my dog with allergies after running $300 in tests. The medication prescribed didnt works so I brought her back in. Dr Aenllo ran x-rays and blood work diagnosed my dog with pneumonia and that day cost me $650. Dog still wasnt better, if fact worse. Took my dog to her vet from 3 years ago about an hour away (Dr. Martin of Midlothian Animal Clinic WONDERFUL) and after looking at the x-ray for one minute said it was a clear mass in her chest and the previous vet should have seen it easily without blood work. Dr Martin said it was in the best interest of the dog to be put down. It was a quality of life issue because he too knew I would pay anything I needed to make her better. She was a 12 year old pitbull so we did the right thing for our friend. When Dr. Aenllo call me back after 8 hours of not returning my phone message for a dog struggling for air she wanted to see the dog, run more test and treatments suggesting she still wanted to rule out the fact that the dog wasnt poisoned before she was ready to accept the cancer and then still she was going to do surgery because she call it "survivable"...in a 12 year old dog who average life expectancy is 11-13 years...I informed her a real vet had diagnosed her finally and she should stop trying to make money on my dying dog. The dog suffered five days longer than she needed to, drowning do to the large tumor taking over her lung capacity, put through multiple unneeded test all because of their, either incompetence or financial gain, taking advantage of my emotional family that would pay anything to fix their dog. Will definitely be taking this to small claims court if refund isnt given. Credit card has been notified to dispute charges. How dare they.

Twenty years ago I took my first dog to Colonial Manor to be treated for epilepsy. I cant begin to explain the research that Dr. Dave and Dr. Joe did to ensure that she had treatment tailored to her specific condition. This was also the case several years later when she was diagnosed with hemolytic anemia. I had no choice one night to rush her to a 24 hour emergency because she was crashing. There, they told me there was nothing that could be done. Thank goodness Dr. Dave from Colonial Manor could see her the next morning. He tried other alternatives and truly researched what could be done for her - even though we knew the chances of recovery were slim. I was lucky to have her around for five more years after that. Even if the treatments had not been successful, I would have been comforted knowing that all that could have been done for her was attempted.

Weve been using Colonial Manor since we moved to Homer 20 years ago, We have used every vet there at one time or another (4 dogs at our high). Theyre good and accomodating when you just need regular shots and things, but they excel at the difficult times. We have vizslas and they think theyre people. They also get into a lot of very wierd trouble it seems. Gabriels 12 years of life saw him there with pulled muscles, several rat poisonings, wounds, and finally the surgery and cancer that killed him. He was treated with love and actually "liked" going there. Its a good place.

Five stars is not enough! I have been bringing my dogs here for about 8 years. I love the personal attention and how each Dr is familiar with my babies. They are always open to my questions, give straightforward honest answers and are always up to date on the latest in veterinary care. The staff, from Donna in the front to everyone behind the scenes always make you feel welcome and that your baby is loved and well cared for! The onsite facilities make it convenient for me as I dont have to go anywhere else no matter how specialized the care.

Unprofessional and unpleasant staff, habit of yelling at clients when it comes to a dispute of billing charges, Dr David overlooked a severe ear infection, eye growth, and serious dental issues, took pet to other clinic and vet instantly found all the above, I dont suggest going here, will definitely be taking this to small claims court

We brought our cat in on a emergency. The Drs.and Staff have been great. Saved our cat and are still taking care of her. Whenever we need anything they help. Our cat is alive today because of them. They will always be our vets.

I had a great experience at this clinic, only until the older lady at the front desk gave me attitude just because I wanted to pay for two dogs separately. Shame on you! She totally ruined it for me, not sure If I will go back.

Great vets, treated our newly adopted dog with heart worm. Prices are reasonable. Theyre so good we come down from the north side of Chicago to see them.
