This place is the worst. When our primary care physicians office in Gurnee closed in 2015 we were forced to find another doctor. My family recommended Dr. Clark and Ive taken my 3 kids there since then. The care that the doctors have provided has always been mediocre at best, but today was the last straw. Our appt. was at 1:30pm and I was told to arrive 15-20min. early. We arrived at 1:10pm to complete the paperwork and ended up waiting until 2:25pm. Everyone I saw in the waiting room had been called and finished their appointments already. I finally ask when well be seen and Im told "shortly" and that Andy, the PA, has to finish up with the current patient. I ask when that patient arrived and I was told 1:25, and that he was late. I asked why we were punished for that patient being late? I took a day off work so that I could get a physical along with my 3 kids. Trust me, it is punishment to be stuck in a waiting room with 3 young kids for over an hour .. especially when I arrived on time and had everything ready. They finally call us back at 2:25 and we sit in the room for another 15 minutes. I leave and ask when well be seen and no one seems to know. So, I walk back and get myself and the kids ready. As we are about to leave, Andy walks in. I told him we were leaving and that it was unacceptable to make us wait that long, and he said "well, thats your choice." Nice, huh? Oh, and as I was walking out of the room I hear the office staff talking about me to each other. How professional. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to waste an entire day here and be treated like garbage.

No. These guys arent big into putting a lot of care into their patients. They will see you yes, but generally they (Clark, McGowan, etc.) will half-listen to your problems and prescribe blanket measures which mostly amount to a pill regimen. They dont pay much attention to the details of your problems, which is where serious issues often hide. My father went here for years and had some serious issues pop up under their care (swollen lymph nodes, arrhythmia). Their answer was never "hey, lets check that out" it was "thats normal with someone with a heart condition, here are some extra pills for that". Guess what, it turned out to be cancer. There was also never much followup about these problems. They took a laizze-fare attitude with increasingly worsening issues. Too comfortable with the toys their money is buying them I guess. And if they do order a diagnostic, prepare for it to be 2-3x as expensive as it should be. I got a urinalysis there during a routine STD checkup and it cost me $400 for an incomplete STD regimen. I could order a fully comprehensive test on my own for under $300 from labs that specialize in STD testing. And God forbid youre a woman! Most of the women in my family who have seen them have received the "oh youre a woman, its probably just your emotions" response to most of the concerns being voiced during checkups. These guys lack detail orientation, are generally uncaring, expensive, and sexist. Im surprised they havent been targeted by a medical negligence lawsuit yet.

DO NOT go here for the walk-in clinic. I went in on a Monday morning with a suspected ear infection and in so much pain I was fighting back tears in the waiting room. I waited 2.5 hours to be seen (which is unacceptable even for a walk-in clinic on a Monday morning) even though they told me it would only be about 30 minutes. When I finally was seen, it was by a physicians assistant named Chris Wyszomirski, not a real doctor. She checked my ears and told me they looked perfectly fine. Said she thought it was TMJ and I should just take Advil. I did as she said. Fast forward 24 hours and both of my ears are swollen shut and my face is so swollen I look like an alien. I decided to go to an ENT specialist for a second opinion and it took him FIVE SECONDS to look in my ears and confirm that I have a severe bilateral ear infection. Bottom line: this place was a waste of my time and money. Consider yourself warned.

I love Dr. Clark. He is probably the first doctor Ive gone to who will take the time, sit down with you, and talk about whatever is going on with your health. Usually, with other doctors, you go in for issue A and thats all you can talk about. Dr. Clark will talk about all of your health issues if you want. And at 44 years old, Im starting to rack up the issues! When I lost my job of 18 years, he even said to keep seeing him. No matter what, he would work something out so I can get care. (Paraphrased). Seriously, how cool is that? This guy is awesome. What first drew me to this office YEARS ago was the great hours and walk-in times. Helps you get care w/o interrupting your work schedule so much. Give him a try.

Dr Clark is excellent. I was misdiagnosed at an emergency room visit. Skin problem. I saw him 2 days later. He correctly diagnosed my problem, treated me, and sent me to a specialist. That Dr. sent me to another doctor that he referred to as a guru. The guru Dr. was able to tell me exactly what was causing my contact dermatitis, and what I needed to do to keep it away. The whole time I was going through this very painful contact dermatitis Dr. Clark made sure I was properly treated. He showed outstanding expertise and gave highly professional and personal care. He takes great notes during your visits and takes the time to know you personally.

Ive been seeing Dr. Clark for over 20 years and trust him 100%. Both of my kids have never seen any other Dr. not related to Dr. Clarks practice. Him and Dr. McGowan have been there to answer every question, concern and problem Ive ever had medically. They have been there for my family every time theyve been needed and always take plenty of time to listen and explain everything. Even at 2am. Ive had a few surgeries and a couple of health scares over the years and they have all been super supportive and informative. Ill never go anywhere else and neither will my children.

Ive been coming here for years. Each time I visit, I ask myself "why?" Their walk in program is a joke. I dont come often, but each time I do the wait is unbelievable. Youre told 4 people ahead of you, which the normal person wouldnt think that is bad. 4 patients equals about 2 hours of waiting. You also will not see a doctor, its a physicians assistant. Which usually means they will misdiagnose you. And you cant make an appointment unless you want to wait 2+ months for that appointment. Safe to say, its time to look for a new doctor.

I have to say I really like my doctor here. I have never had one that goes out of their way like mine (Dr. Kharasch) does to make sure I feel I am getting the best care possible. She comes in, sits down and makes me feel comfortable relating any issues I am having. She pays attention, answers any and all of my questions in a professional manner I can understand. The staff is always pleasant as well. Very glad I found this practice and highly recommend them.
