My poor Dog suffered the most horrible death because of these money hungry, lying, heartless people. I had rushed my dog there in the middle of the night because he was having difficulty breathing. After I arrived they made us wait 15 minutes in a room and fill out paperwork meanwhile my dog is gasping for each breath of air. Then she comes in and jams a thermometer up his butt while he is suffering for air. The so called Doctor who should be fired really acted like there was no sense of urgency at all . I went there to get and pay for emergency services , my poor dog got no immediate attention to save his life. All they did was take an xray and threw me sum pills and said to give him the pills when I get home , knowing I live an hour away. The poor dog was dying for air and you would think that if these people had any common sense they would have gave him sum oxygen and an injection for the fluid in his lungs but NOOOOOOOO. THEY SENT ME AWAY WITH A BOTTLE OF PILLS AND CHARGED ME ALMOST $400. ALL FOR NOTHING JUST TO MAKE ME DRIVE 2 HOURS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND MAKE MY POOR DOG SUFFER A MISERABLE DEATH. MY DOG WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OF JUST DYING AT HOME IN COMFORT THAN BEING DRAGGED ON A 2 HOUR CAR DRIVE ALL FOR NOTHING.These people RUDE LIARS AND CAN CARELESS IF YOUR DOG IS SUFFERING. I hope this place gets shut down and they never make another animal have to suffer and rip off the owners. I GOT MY DOG HOME GAVE HIM THE PILLS AND HE DIED 2 HOURS LATER BECAUSE HE COULDT BREATH AND THAT SO CALLED DOCTOR KNEW THAT AND SHE DID NOTHING TO SAVE HIM. You are better off going anywhere but to this horrible place, you will pay money for them to kill your pet. I do not want anyone else to buy into the lies of these people. And lazy slow unresponsive service. I dont know how these people can call themselves Doctors. Because a REAL DOCTOR WOULD NEVER SEND SOMEONE HOME WHEN THEY CAN BARELY BREATH. GO ANY PLACE BUT HERE, MY DOG WOULD BE ALIVE IF I WENT TO A REAL DOCTOR THAT HAD A BRAIN AND A HEART.

My kitten was having some sort of breathing attack, so at 3 A.M I panicked and rushed her to the closest hospital. What a mistake that was. The girl behind the desk very unpleasant , and when the doctor finally came in she was sick coughing all over and acted like she couldnt be bothered . Me panicked and afraid thinking the kitten was choking they said "we should do an x-ray and a full examination " 400$ later they predicted the cat to have asthma and wanted to keep her for observation for a few hours . I said ok and went home and looked up vets for my kitten. When I came back I picks up my cat , whose butt was soaked in her own pee , and they said heres a copy of her X-ray, and suggested I get her to a vet for her asthma . Then when I do find a vet tell them so they could fax over their observations and notes on the kitten. I go to a vet a day or two later , and the vet says she has an ear infection and were shocked that it went un noticed because it was obvious . They said they would call the other place since the disk of my kittens X-rays I was given was not playing . I called the place later that night and told them the name of the vet, and where to fax her notes. Our vet now still has not recieved said notes and when they called they said they had no recollection or notes of my kitten being there. This place milked me of 400$ and has failed to help my new vet get any information on the visit my kitten had. Stay away from these con artists!

This was the worst experience I ever had dealing with a veternary professional, her name is Terra. She is a receptionist who acted as though she was my judge and jury. She absolutely humiliated and degraded me while i was suffering with my seriously sick animal. Terra should not be dealing with the public let alone with animals. She said things to me like "an animal is a luxury", who says that?? She also said that I brought my dying dog under" false pretenses" I dont care what the circumstances are when you bring in your dying family member to an EMERGENCY FACILITY, you should not be treated like trash and talked down to. I dont understand how she can keep her job when she feels this way about animals, and treats a customer in such an outrageous manner. The doctor that took care of my beloved dog was fair and compassionate. I asked for an apology from Terra for her outrageous behavior and never received it, implying that she is not sorry for her actions. Dr. Smith did credit me some money for Terras horrendous behavior and apologized for the way Terra treated me. My baby girl passed away the next day. If I ever get another pet I will never go back to this facility as long as Terra is employed there.

I would like to express my thanks to Dr. Richard Otto, and Emergency Veterinary Services, Ltd in Lisle. We had been watching our cat, Nero for developing kidney disease. The symptoms seemed to be consistent with what to expect. Very abruptly, he seemed to turn a corner and became lethargic and just stopped eating. Of course, it was Fathers Day and Sunday, so I immediately thought of the "Emergency Vet" . To not have your regular vet take on, what I felt surely would be a bad outcome, I was more than a little torn. There was no time to waste, however, so off we went with our faith and prayers to guide us. Dr. Otto was the answer to those prayers. He was empathetic, honest, and gentle to both Nero and me. I was able to hold him through it all, and then invited to stay with him as long s I wanted for whatever closure I could muster. All of my thanks to you, Dr Otto. You found your calling and make a real difference to both your patients and their "owners" We all know know, nobody "owns" a cat! Bless you for being there for us when we needed you and not home celebrating Fathers Day with your own family.

I brought my dog in this past October because he and our other dog had fought. I was shaken because this had never happened before and Nuggets injury looked deep. I cant remember names, I apologize, but the front desk was calm when dealing with frantic me and very patient and the same went for the vet. They examined Nugget and were clear about what they would have to do and upfront on the cost. It was a little over $400, but I was more than willing to spend it on my dogs health. I think I was only there for a little over an hour before they were done (much faster than I anticipated) with only one pause to give additional news and an updated cost which was still under $500 and still not a problem. They made sure I had all my questions answered and were more than available later after I had gotten home and had another question to ask. I even received a call the next day by them to check on my pup which I found rather comforting. I would absolutely bring my dogs here in the future should an emergency arise, though I certainly hope I wont have to, lol. Thank You!
