I was a first time client to Chittick this month. The appointment process was relatively simple. The appointment is 3 fold, see the tech, see the doctor and see the optometrist to pick out glasses. Lets say the techs "bedside" manner left something to be desired. He was devoid of any emotion and seemed to be in a zone , ok fine. The doctor was good , pretty helpful and seemed genuinely interested in helping. Step 3 , visit with the optometrist , order glasses. This process took place Monday am, she said check back on Friday. I did, no glasses , check back on Monday , I did......no glasses! Check back on Wednesday , I did........they should be here Thursday. Ok, check back on Thursday , she says " I am sorry , but our lab has been having trouble fitting these glasses, we will have to send them to another lab OUT OF STATE"! Finally get a call on Monday (just as I am leaving town on a business trip), your glasses are finally in ......great , I am leaving town as we speak, guess I will pick them up end of the week. It took almost 3 weeks from the appointment / order date (which I had to pay in full at the time of visit) to actually pick up my glasses. They offered me a free set of lens for my trouble , what am I to do with lens? I have no extra frames ....... I will not go back to Chittick and would advise first time clients to look elsewhere.

I went to Chittick for my eye exam and updated reading glasses. Dr Brothers seemed great! He didnt rush through the appointment and seemed very thorough. Once I got my glasses I was having a hard time with them because they were sliding off my face and having problems seeing. I had to get a new pair of frames along with new lenses because they werent correct. Of course this required a recheck by the doctor. Following this, the glasses STILL werent correct and I decided to do a recheck with Dr Oshiro instead, just to get a second opinion. She COMPLTELY changed my prescription!! Again, she was nice, but there was no way the glasses would work! I felt drunk just by putting them on!! HORRIBLE feeling!!! On top of all this, the office staff is completely incompetent! Every time I went in I dealt with someone different, because there were never the same people working there --- and they all gave me different reasons why my glasses werent correct. So FINALLY more than 6 months later I decided to demand a refund and go elsewhere. Not worth the trouble!! Dont go to Chittick!!

Ive been going to Chittick for three years now and LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Im sad Im moving and wont be able to go there anymore after this year! Dr. Brothers is wonderful, takes his time, and is genuinely interested in helping you. All of the staff have been friendly to me EVERY time Ive gone there. One time I actually showed up on the wrong day (I mixed up the dates) and they fit me in that day even though I had made the mistake! And they were really nice about it, just so I didnt have to come back! I highly recommend Chittick. Im sorry that another reviewer had a bad experience getting incorrect glasses but Im sure there is a logical explanation, and Ive never seen the staff treat anyone with anything but great respect.
