We were clients for several years until we started being scheduled with the older male vet (we stopped seeing any other vet there and wonder if the older white-haired gentleman is the only vet now? IDK). This mans answer to any cat-related illness is herpes (conveniently an illness that has no treatment...), and we believed him until we sought a 2nd opinion down the street and found out through less than $30 in antibiotics he was wrong. Our cats suffered for months while he failed to do any tests whatsoever. His version of basic look-overs during any visit is weighing the cat (the nurse actually does this) and MAYBE taking their temp. Thats it. The last visit we had lasted 4 minutes, I timed it. Now weve gone to another vet and seen the difference in level of care Im afraid we will not be returning to Eastside Pet Clinic. The front staff is super-nice, but the level of care the older gentleman gives would indicate to me he was ready to retire a few years ago.

From the front staff to the doctors, to the work they do --- its great and friendly. I call there now and again just when I am being a paranoid pet owner, and they are always receptive to my needs. My 11 month old chihuahua had to have surgery [to repair/remove the ball joint of his femur] and they did a wonderful job with him from beginning to end. They have a very kind and patient staff that are gentle with the animals. Our original choice for vet services seemed to be only in it for the money and refused to do anything for us (even just routine shots) because we chose not to neuter our dog [not for breeding reasons, just personal beliefs.] We brought him to Eastside, and havent thought of going any where else since. They have my full confidence.

Ive taken my puppy here about 3 times now, for all shots and such. The vets are always very welcoming and helpful in the treatment of the animals. They are also rather affordable, with the downside of no payment plans (which seems to be common with vets). However, they will help you find the cheapest version of what you need i.e. heartguard, food, ect. I will continue to come here as long as I live in the city.

I really love the positive and helpful demeanor of everyone working there, and they always talk through all possibilities and options to healthcare instead of suggesting what would financially benefit them like some other vets. They really care about pets!
