Terrible!!! They made me completely hate the installation! Doctor sucked and dosent care prescribed me meds and I had a nervous breakdown on them I go in and she tells me Im not mentally stable and my marriage isnt stable enough to have a child so we arent discussing a fertility specialist, which I was seeing before we got here! And me being all trusting in doctors didnt think to read side effects, so I did it when I left, the serious side effects were agitation irritability hostile behavior and nervousness/anxious So instead of looking back to see what she prescribed me she just assumes Im a crazy nervous wreck and gives me a refill.., Ive switched to an off post Doctor I dont know where she got a license to practice but it should be taken away shes totally careless her nurse spent more time talking to me and explaining stuff to me then she did and she always cut the nurse off when she was talking to me her nurse cared more about the patient than she did screw this place and this instillation

As a service member My Family and I got to receive medical services at several Army hospitals and I have to say BACH stands out. Overall the Hospital is clean , the staff is friendly and quality of service really good ( there is always room for improvement). I definitely appreciate them having the phone call appointment reminder system , with some appointment scheduled weeks in advance its good to have that reminder. Wait times for some procedures or to see a specialist can be a pain but with as many services members , their families and Vetrans this Hospital serves its understandable. The Pharmacy is located in the basement which makes it a little harder to find and difficult to get to if the elevators arent working. I hope you never have to visit their Emergency Room but if you do just know you are in good hands. The Hospitals management seem very interested in knowing the quality of each visit to the Hospital , after every visit weve received an email with a survey to rate our visit.

This is the worst hospital Ive ever been to in my life. I went to the ER probably 15 times within a year complaining of chest pains, shortness of breath, and a high heart rate. My treatment was a dose of Ativan and out the door. During those visits right before being discharged, I was told to follow up with my PCP for a cardiologist referral. Unfortunately, the ER doctors never wrote down that I needed a referral so we played the "anxiety" game/you must be in an abusive marriage. The first time I saw a civilian doctor after that year, I was diagnosed with...a heart condition. Imagine that! My biggest mistake was not going to Gateway in the first place. If you have an ongoing issue and want to continue not receiving treatment, definitely keep going here. They are very quick to throw out pain killers and anxiety medications instead of taking the time to find out what is wrong.

My husband was in sever pain. The nurse laughed and said ha furthers room from the waiting room I should have grabbed a wheel chair. After they did absolutely nothing for him she chose to walk us out my husband stopped in sever paid yet again hunched over shaking l, she said " do you want to walk back to your room" at this point he cant even walk and is hurting after they did nothing he said no I just wanna get the f*** out of here. She called his command and got him kicked out of the company. She had absolutely no respect. Laughed the whole time he was in paid was laughing while she gave him a shot (which caused the needle to jerk around hurting him more. Do not recommend this hospital to anyone. Military personnel and dependents can go off post (tricare prime) if it is an emergency. Found that out after. Save yourself the wait and trouble.

I went in due to chest pain and difficulty breathing during a 4 day weekend. For starters the first nurse who checks your vitals asks me how bad the pain is then. I said about a 3-4, but was much worse at night. She scoffed and said i didnt ask you about last night but about now. Soon after waiting outside the nurses took me in, used a stethoscope and said i had a "chest cold". After about waiting 3 hours they gave me medications for said chest cold. Nothing worked, few days later, i happened to be near vanderbilt and i was running a fever of 104 and couldnt breathe at all. Turns out they were completely wrong and didnt check out anything. I have pericarditis and had about 12 oz of fluid around my heart and it was constricting my heart. Much worse couldve happened.

Had surgery here in august, my doctor deployed shortly after. About a month post-op I began physical therapy and was recovering well. Due to the fact that my surgeon was no longer there and I was never assigned to another doctor and after an E.R. visit, (which was also garbage) I found myself being rushed to the O.R. and almost had my foot amputated as a result of a sudden staph infection. I was hospitalized for five days because the infection was so bad. MORAL OF THE STORY:,They botched my surgery, everything repaired during surgery died and almost cost me my foot. When my surgeon deployed I was ignored and neglected. thank god for the no-malpractice protection or this would be history....go to gateway or vanderbilt!

The employees at the front desk in the childrens clinic are terribly unprofessional. I come in once a week, and when theres a long line to check in only 1 out of 4 of the employees sitting at the front counter are checking people in. The rest of them are gossiping or are on FB on there cell phones. I wait 10 mins to be checked in, even though they want you to arrive 15 mins prior to your appointment time and we are ALWAYS seen 10-30 mins late! One specific employee is very loud, rude, and has actually cursed in the office. We like our Doctor but the staff in the front just suck at there jobs! Acknowledge people when there standing and waiting in line to check in, instead of chit chatting.

Its sad that I even have to post this but the wait time is ridiculous. It doesnt matter what day or time you come, you will probably have to wait HOURS to be seen. This is my second time here in a week because I left the first time. I had been waiting for well over 4+ hours but now I have NO choice but to wait through it. While im in a lot of pain, I know exactly what treatment I need because it has happened before and it wouldnt take more than 10 minutes to get everything fixed. Instead I will be waiting all night, in pain, literally. They might be "understaffed" but that leads me to wonder what is the point of even having an ER? Needs major improvement.

Our toddler had a febrile seizure in the middle of the night. Although the seizure was obviously over by the time we got there and she wasnt having any complications, from the medic and RN in triage to the doctor and RN who evaluated her, everyone was patient and kind. They patiently listened to us, explained things, and asked if we had any questions without ever making us feel rushed or dumb (as Ive heard some people complain about). I think some people just get spoiled from the free care and they dont realize how hard it is for a hospital to see everyone when there is a large population of people needing (or some thinking they need) care
