Started my WLS journey here on October 5th, 2015. The doctor hear is excellent but the receptionist and the insurance coordinator are the worse ever. I came in for a consultation on October 5th and was told I qualified. Once given the information I started setting up necessary appointments with nutritionist and psychologist so that I could get approved for the surgery. On October 16th all of my appointments were finished and I was waiting for my information to be submitted for approval. The insurance coordinator called me on October 27 which was a week in a half later and told me she was submitting my information to my insurance company. She explained that it would take 30 working days before she would hear something and 20 working days was the earliest she had heard anything. I called my insurance company to check the status on November 5th and was told that it hadnt been approved yet and to try back in a week. I called back on the 10th was told it was approved. Once I found out it was approved I called and left a message for the insurance coordinator to call me back. Needless to say she never called back but had the receptionist call back and tell me that it takes 30 working days for the insurance to approve the surgery and that they would call me to let me know when they got the information. I explained to the receptionist that my insurance company had already approved it and I was just calling to let the insurance coordinator know. She then says oh well see if they can fax it over to us it would take longer for us to get it in the mail. I hung up from with her and on the 12th I called had the approval letter faxed over from my insurance. I called back on Tuesday and left a message to find out if they had gotten the fax. To my surprise the receptionist calls me back on yesterday and left a message saying that the insurance coordinator said that no fax came through. I called my insurance to verify they faxed it to the right number and also asked for it to be faxed again. I then called back and explained to the receptionist that it had been faxed twice. She explained that the Insurance Coordinator told her that to her knowledge the insurance companies dont fax approvals and that she hadnt received a fax. I dont know whats going on with this office but I do want to say that I will not recommend this office again. I have explained to the insurance coordinator time and time again that my insurance deductible starts over in January. She doesnt care and is quite lazy. She hasnt contacted me since the 27th and has been send messages through the receptionist which I feel is very unprofessional. Please dont waste your time. It makes no sense for anyone under no circumstances to endure this treatment .

Misdiagnose my toddler. He had allergic reaction, his feet were swollen, and the rashes looked exactly like hives (dont need to take medical degree to know the difference), no fever, they still came up with a diagnosed of hand, feet and mouth disease, which caused by virus (logically, if he didnt have fever, it would have not been caused by virus, again NO NEED TO HAVE A MEDICAL DEGREE TO KNOW THAT!). No further testing, and so they sent us home without any med nor testing. I was hoping the they gave him some steroid injection when we got there (for allergy). My toddler suffer for 2 days, couldnt walk, and the feet were so swollen, I saw veins came up to the surface of his feet. The swelling got bigger, I had an instinct it was allergy, so even it wasnt prescribed to us, I gave him antihistamine anyway (thought it wasnt strong enough to reduce his swelling, it helped not to make it worse). We went to our trusted pediatrician, and he gave us steroid, and day 1 worked like magic. Thank God, we had a knowledgeable pediatrician. We were lucky my toddler didnt have anaphylaxis shock. I called them and complained, didnt get back to us yet. They are lucky no one got seriously hurt, because I would have sued them in a heart beat if that ever happened. Im planning not paying for the bill, because they dont deserve a cent of it! They can shove it up their behind!

I have lived in the area for over five years. This was always the ER that I came to when I had various of issues wrong with me. The service WAS very friendly and WAS very fast. Now recently everything has drastically changed. If they FEEL like five other ppl that came after you is sicker than you are? Guess what, they are going to see them first which now makes the wait extremely long. There is a new head Doctor in the ER he is very over bearing and talks over you and talks like youre beneath him and doesnt care what YOU think is wrong with you he KNOWS whats wrong you and thats that. He is the head ER doctor at Olympia fields and Chicago heights St. James so if you live in the area theres no getting past that. Im not trying to bash anyone but he gives very poor service and doesnt fullfill his duty to truly helping others he just wants to tell you something ridiculous so you can hurry up and leave. Period. DONT GO THERE. Youre better off going to south suburban. Drive the extra mile.

Went in with bleeding and sever abdominal pain. I couldnt take it any longer. Could not keep food or water down for the past 4 days. Seemed to be getting worse. When I walked in I asked if there was a long wait. I have an good health plan and could go elsewhere. Was told no, should be soon. Wrong! 2 1/2 hours later I finally walked out! Why is this place called ER? Never again,. If I took in a sick dyning animal and was desperate for treatment I would never go there again. It will never matter how they try to fix this place up with new construction if the needed care is not there. It will still be a useless pretty facade with no substance as an ER. I noted 2-3 others who walked in before me and finally left. I wonder how they are doing. Hope they received the care they need. Bless them.

Thank GOD for my ER RN. I went to the ER with a 2nd degree burn that was pretty bad. The nurse had to ask twice before the Doc even agreed to cut off the dead hanging skin from my burn. He was gonna rinse, layer with cream and wrap with a regular gauze. After removing the skin I had to ask SEVERAL times for a non adherent bandage. Which the nurse had to go and find do to all the supplies needed for care not being immediately available. Apon discharge I bearly was able to get supplies to tend to my wound for the rest of that night. I am extremely Grateful to my RN but if there is a next time I will b makin the trip to South Suburban Hospital instead!!
