Cut my hand badly in September 2014. I was in the ER for 4 hours before my wound was cleaned or looked at by anyone. Billing personnel were in the room within 15 minutes of my arrival to make sure I had insurance. After 4 hours a PA shows up and looks at my hand which is now covered in dry blood and throbbing. She then informs me I need stitches, that was a shocker.... At least she did numb it but only gave it a cursory cleaning for what was a very deep wound. She put in 12 of the most awful stitches I have ever seen. It should have taken 2 times as many. She did not clean it before she wrapped it and did not prescribe any antibiotics. 2 days later I the wound was seeping pus and was swollen to point of pulling the stitches out. I went to my personal physician who had a look on his face that pretty much told me I had an issue. He had to remove the stitches, irrigate the wound and lance each hole made by the PAs Frankenstein stitches. I had a sever staph infection and flesh eating bacteria that took 3 types of antibiotics and my cutting dead flesh off for 2 weeks. The hospital then charged me $800.00 after charging my insurance company $3000.00. I spent an additional $400.00 in other medical charges to fix their incompetence and lack of infection control. I would not take my pets to this facility and will drive to Vanderbilt even if I am dying the next time I need medical attention in Hopkinsville.

My husband had surgery at Jennie Stuart major surgery on his lumbar spine. I am in bad health and was not able to stay with him the only night he stayed there came in the next morning to find him half off the bed and in severe pain . No one bothered to hook the iv pain pump up nurse said she did not know why the nurses the night before had not hooked up the pump and so he laid there like that all night suffering. Doctor discharged him at noon and took 3 hours for the nurses to get the paperwork done to release him. I personally will never go there for anything. My husband regrets his choice of care. Dr Peru is a good doctor to bad he does not have back up at the hospital. I should say I was in the health care profession for 10 years so of the things I saw and heard were astonshing. Eating breakfast in the cafeteria listened to 3 cleaning supervisors sit there and trash there employees . So unacceptable. I surely would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I know hospitals get a lot of negatives especially when things dont go right or someone doesnt receive the news they want to hear. Having realistic expectations and a positive attitude can make any hospital visit. Everyone thinks their local hospital is the worst ever but I am here to tell you that I have always had a friendly experience when I have had to come to JSMC. My advice to individuals that have negatives to say is that if it so bad go to another hospital and/or stop using the ER as your primary care physician as that is not what they are there for. Try being patient, asking questions if you dont know and simply smiling at the staff will completely change how you view most places.

I dont see how you people are complaining. My husband had NO insurance and normally he would go to the ER when things got really bad with whatever was wrong with him and normally they would do the LEAST possible and send him home. This hospital went above and beyond the care he needed. Although the diagnosis was not what I wanted at least we know finally whats wrong and they even gave him starter meds along with the antibiotics. To our family they were a blessing from God.

Jennie stuart medical center... Is the worst hospital known to mankind... DO NOT BRING A LOVED ONE TO THIS HOSPITAL!!! If you want them to survive... They almost killed my wife twice And showed absolutely no compassion whatsoever for it. So I repeat again (DO NOT BRING A LOVED ONE TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!) If I could have given them No stars at all I would have... Please do your family a favor and go somewhere else... My prayers will be with you...

I seriously wouldnt even take my dog here! This is the worst hospital in existence and I dont know how theyre still in business. They have lost my lab results in the past and just recently lost my daughters very important lab tests so NEVER again are we coming back for a third disaster. Ill drive to Murry, theyre worth the 1.5 hour drive.

Transferring doctors from Mandy Childers (all time favorite doctor!), Im touring around various doctors. I didnt like the Mr. Dr. Budhan the time I saw him so Im trying Mrs. Dr. Williams-Budhan. The office is smaller than the bypass JSMC but the waiting room and staff are nice.

The nurses are really rude. They dont tell you information as soon as they find out. We sat in the ER for 4 hours waiting on lab results that were supposed to be back in 1 hour, just because she said "Im not coming every five minutes to tell you information."

A friend recently had an emergency surgery at JSMC. What a wonderful job everybody did. From the EMT staff to surgery, everybody was first rate. So thankful to have such a wonderful hospital and dedicated staff of people running it. Great Job!!

The best part about going to Jennie Stuart was going to see Dr stitt. You all are letting the Best doctor go. I dont understand why. He is compassionate, caring, he listens. He made you feel comfortable. Dr. Stitt was the best.

Never taking my kids to them again! Took my soon there on the 11th, all they did was check his heart and give him vomiting meds. I took him to his regular doctor and he has pneumonia and has to take breathing treatments.
